    Can I perform a Criteria query with Sub-Select AND Left-Outer join? For example, I have A 1-many B 1-many C. With Criteria.createAlias ("b", "b", Criteria.LEFT_JOIN) I can perform Left Outer join. With Criteria.setFetchMode ("b", org.hibernate.FetchMode.DEFAULT) I can perform Join with the default fetching strategy. I assume that having set @org.hibernate.annotations.FetchMode.SUBSELECT in both A.B and B.C is enough (is it?). Question 1: Why does org.hibernate.FetchMode not have SUBSELECT option, whereas the org.hibernate.annotations.FetchMode does? Question 2: Can I perform a Criteria query with Sub-Select AND Left-Outer join?

  • How to change the volume of left channel using pulseaudio

    I am recording the video using logitech camera and bluetooth microphone. Logitech can used for recording both audio and video. When I turn on bluetooth microphone in the middle of recording, it is replacing the logitech audio channel due to this we are getting the bluetooth audio from the left channel. But when I turn off the bluetooth then I get the logitech audio on left channel but the volume is very low and also getting the some noise. I am using PulseAudio and ffmpeg for recording purpose. So how can I increase / change the volume of left channel during runtime?

    I want to understand the relation between LL/LR grammars and the left-recursion problem (for any question I know parcially the answer, but I ask them as I don't know nothing, because I am a little confused now, and prefer complete answers) I'm happy with sintetized or short and direct answers (or just links solving it unambiguously): What type of language isn't LL(8) languages? LL(K) and LL(8) have problems with left-recursion? Or only LL(k) parsers? LALR(1) parser have troubles with left or right recursion? What type of troubles? Only in terms of the LL/LALR comparision. What is better, Bison (LALR(1)) or Boost.Spirit (LL(8))? (Let's suppose other features of them are irrelevant in this question) Why GCC use a (hand-made) LL(8) parser? Only for the "handling-error" problem?

  • Why does DirectX use a left-handed coordinate system?

    I considered posting on Stack Overflow, but the question strikes me as being far too subjective since I can't think of a reasonable technical explanation for Microsoft's choice in this matter. But this question has bugged me for so long and the issue keeps coming up in one of my projects, and I have never actually seen an attempt at explaining this: OpenGL uses a right-handed coordinate system, where the +Z part of the world coordinate system extends toward the viewer. DirectX uses a left-handed system where the +Z part of the world coordinate extends into the screen, away from the viewer. I never used the Glide API, so I don't know how it worked, but from what I can gather, it uses a left-handed system as well. Is there a technical reason for this? And if not, is there some conceptual advantage to a particular handedness of a coordinate system? Why would one choose one over the other?

  • Symfony/Propel NestedSet left/right ID corruption/adjustment

    Hi folks, I have a nested set application that seems to be getting corrupted. Here's what I'm seeing: We're using nested sets for a binary tree (any node can have 2 children). It appears to be working fine, but some event causes a discrepancy. For instance, when I do a getNumberOfDescendants() for the root node, it will slowly increase as this event happens. However, displaying the tree works fine, as does inserting (apparently). Has anybody seen anything like this before? For instance, my repair program shows this as the repairs that it makes: User pxxxxx left 0=>0, right 145=>129 User axxxxx left 1=>1, right 124=>106 User mxxxxx left 119=>117, right 120=>118 User fxxxxx left 125=>107, right 144=>128 User fxxxxx left 126=>108, right 131=>113 User rxxxxx left 127=>109, right 128=>110 User mxxxxx left 129=>111, right 130=>112 User mxxxxx left 132=>114, right 143=>127 User cxxxxx left 133=>115, right 142=>126 User gxxxxx left 134=>116, right 137=>121 User mxxxxx left 135=>119, right 136=>120 User jxxxxx left 138=>122, right 141=>125 User axxxxx left 139=>123, right 140=>124 I thought at first it was when I deleted a user, but it has since occurred w/o that event. Anybody know of a cause that might generate this? I've tested ad nauseum on my local machine, but I can't duplicate it.     In Windows 7, I really liked an opportunity to change the position of the windows by pressing hotkeys Win + (Left | Right | Up | Bottom): Win + Left - window attached to the left side Win + Right - window attached to the right side Win + Up - window is maximized Win + Bottom - window in the normal state I’m talking about this: This is really useful hotkeys and really comfortable work with windows. But not all can use Windows 7 right now. When Windows7 was in beta and RC states I really wanted to use this features right now in current Windows version (I had Vista). So I spent my time and wrote this tool. In addition, the tool has functional which can change position of windows (It is useful for laptops, you can move windows with hotkeys). And of course this tool can move windows between monitors. Hot keys can be customized. Interface in English. Now I don’t want to add new functionality, because now I’m using Windows 7 with all functions that this tool have. I wrote this tool on C# with .NET 3.5. You can use this source code for knowing how to work with hotkeys with C#. At first I placed source code on Google Code and then placed it on CodePlex too. So you can download it from one of them. I would be glad if someone will use it. :)

    I am able to map the key combination Right Alt+Left Arrow with <a-left> or by <m-left>. But I am not able to map the Left Alt key. Is there a way to do that? Edit: Just to clarity <a-left> means Alt+Left Arrow. The important question here is what is difference between Left Alt and Right Alt from the perspective of keymappings in Vim?

  • Can't Move Windows to 2nd Monitor without Left Mouse and Cntl Key

    I have 2 very frustrating problems that maybe someone can help me with: I have 2 monitors (different sizes and resolutions) setup with the "Extended" monitor Win7 setup. My problem is this = I can not "move" a window from my Primary Monitor (larger and higher resolution on right side in front of me) to my Secondary 2nd monitor (smaller and lower resolution) with just selecting the title bar with the left mouse button and dragging it to the left. Windows 7 "snaps" it back to the left Primary Monitor when the window is physically in the 2nd window area as I'm holding the left mouse button. I can prevent this problem - by holding down the Cntl Key with the Left Mouse button, but this is extremely annoying to me. Also I typically "lose" focus if I try typing input on the 2nd monitor. Typing is erratic with regard to keystroke accuracy from my keyboard translated into input on the 2nd screen. No problem with typing input on the primary left monitor. I find this extremely annoying in Windows 7 and turning off the "snap" feature via the Control panel does NOT work for me. Win7 stubbornly refuses to move my selected window to my 2nd monitor without me "forcing" Win7 to do this with the Cntrl Key. Please tell me this is not a Win7 feature. Also on my system - Windows Key + Shift, Left arrow Key (pressed together) or the same combo with The Right arrow Key - don't do anything whatsoever. Widows Key with "+" however does maximize current window across both monitors, and I can "restore" it with Windows Key and "-" back to original monitor and size. I have tried various solutions including changing the resolutions of one or both of my monitors and sometimes "temporarily helps" but reverts back to the problem. Also if I swap the logical (not physical) layout so that I tell Win7 the monitors are setup in a reserved situation (Large monitor on the left, and small on the right) - this also sometimes helps for awhile - and is very strange and awkward to work with "backwards". But all of these solutions stop working. The only solution that consistently works for "moving" the screens is to hold the Cntrl Key down as I'm moving window with the left mouse selected on the title bar. Even that however, doesn't prevent the loss of typing focus for me on the 2nd monitor - while at the same time the typing on the 1st monitor is fine. Any help on moving my window screens from one monitor on my 2nd monitor without having to press the Cntrl key while holding down my left mouse button with be appreciated. Also any help on gaining typing "focus" into my 2nd screen with be helpful too. Thanks - John

  • I have to "stab" at the upper left corner to get launcher to appear

    Running 12.04 LTS. This is extremely annoying and makes me want to try another flavor of Linux. Yes, this little inconvenience is that annoying to me. Most of the time the launcher will appear nice and easy as soon as I mouse over the upper left corner, but many times, the left edge of the screen will get a little darker, but the launcher will not appear. By seeing the edge darken, I know that the OS is acknowledging my mouse's presence in the corner. Only by "stabbing" the corner with my mouse can I get it to appear. I just want the launcher to appear as soon as I mouse over the corner. Any help would be great.

  • Coordinates on the top left corner or center of the tile

    I'm setting up a tile system where every tile has x and y coordinates. Right now I assume that the top left corner of the tile is positioned on it's coordinate on the screen, x = tileX * tileWidth and y = tileY x tileWidth. However, it seems strange that the tile with coordinate (0, 0) is completely drawn in the 'positive' side of the coordinate system as opposed to in the center of the origin. Is it common practice to assume that a coordinate lays in the center of a tile or at the top left corner of a tile? So basically x = tileX x tileWidth or x = tileX x tilewidth - ( tileWidth / 2 )?

  • Right-to-left script fails with Flash Player

    I am continuing an abandoned thread arabic reading error, since it was not solved. I'm using Ubuntu 10.04, Firefox 3.6.14. I've checked for Flash Player, I have the recent version installed. In the Flash Player window arabic script appears in wrong direction. The letters are displayed from left to right and not, as it should be, from right to left. For exemple http://www.fpnp.net/. The problematic place is the black bar in Flash window with a text below the image on the right. Here the letters are displayed in wrong direction and, by consequence, are not joined. You can see (I hope) the difference between that black bar and the rest of the text. Hope it will understandable for not Arabic-speaking people. Thanks

  • Mouse permanently stuck on left side of screen

    One of my two monitors is died, so while my computer was turned off I unplugged the dead monitor then turned my computer back on. When I got to the log in page I typed my password and got to the desktop my mouse was stuck to the left edge of the screen. I can move it up and down, and left and right click, but it won't come off the edge. I tried switching the monitor cable to the other slot to see if that would make a difference but nothing changed. If it makes a difference, I'm using Kubuntu.

    I have a position vector of a point in space and a quaternion for it's rotation. What i'm trying to calculate is a point too the left and a point to the right. I have the position and rotation(quaternion) of the red dot. What I want is to get the position of the green dots. I have a float value for the distance I want these points to be. With only the position and rotation is it possible to get a unit direction vector pointing left/right which I can multiply by my float value? Edit: I also know the original direction vector.

  • Workspeace view shows first workspaces out of border at left

    I am using nvidia-current and edited from settings my monitors so that my second monitor is at left and unity-panel shows only in my main monitor. How ever now the workspaces images have shifted so that second monitor first workpsaces are moved out of the left border and when the monitor is not turn on I can't see the the workspaces there. Sometimes programs have been moved when monitor is been flashed to the workspace shown in out of border and I have no means to move the program windows into my main workspace views.     I copied a lot of files in my mounted Windows drive from Ubuntu and I subsequently ran into Error opening file '/media/windows/<some-file-path>': No space left on device error. I checked the output of df -i command to see if I had ran out of inodes for the mounted Windows drive: Filesystem Inodes IUsed IFree IUse% Mounted on /dev/sda5 2363904 504119 1859785 22% / udev 207621 522 207099 1% /dev tmpfs 211487 450 211037 1% /run none 211487 3 211484 1% /run/lock none 211487 7 211480 1% /run/shm none 211487 19 211468 1% /run/user /dev/sda2 458686680 2588876 456097804 1% /media/windows As above output shows, lots of inodes are available for /media/windows drive. I have plenty of disk space left - around 500GB. What's the problem then?

    I have a piece of code that is changing the position of player when left key is pressed. It is inside of Update() function. I know, Update is called multiple times, but since I have an ifstatement to check if left arrow is pressed, it should update only once. I have tested using print statement that once pressed, it gets called twice. Problem: Position updated twice when key is pressed only once.   • Nautilus left pane does not expand

    I would prefer the left pane of Nautilus to behave like Windows file manager. It should have expandable/collapsible trees, and if I have /home/mydir-1, /home/mydir-2, I should be able to see them both in the left pane. When I click on one of them, the files in that dir should show in the right pane. If Nautilus can't do it, please suggest a better file-manager which does. I would rather not open 3 panes in Nautilus to do what two panes do just fine in Windows File Manager. Secondly how can I open two instances of Nautilus? And if it isn't possible with Nautilus, could it be done with some other file manager?

  • Rotate object Up/Down/Left/Right in any orientation

    I'm rendering model at the origin with a fixed camera looking at it positioned on the z axis. I want to be able to rotate the model up/down and left/right. Currently I have 2 variables, HorizontalRotation and VerticalRotation. When calculating the world matrix I rotate about the Y axis by HorizontalRotation and about the X axis by VerticalRotation. The ..Rotation variables are controlled by pressing up/down/left/right arrow keys. The problem I'm having is that the rotations are happening relative to the object. Lets say it's a model of the world. Pressing Up a bit would let me look at the north pole. Currently when i press right the earth spins infront of the camera on its axis; I'm still looking at the north pole. How can i get it so that no matter what rotations are currently applied i can always rotate my model relative to the camera/world axis?

  • Flashing screen hovering over menubar on left side

    Just installed Ubuntu 10.10 netbook version on an older Dell Laptop (no other operating system installed). When hovering with mouse over menu bar, the full screen changes to default coloured back ground shortly and then back to normal (as after start-up) again. And that each time the mouse is over any of the (default) icons on the menu bar. I am not able to select any icon. No left or right click works on icons or anywhere on the menubar apart from the left top small icon, white Ubuntu logo, and the right top small icons for WiFi, sound, mail, shut-down etc. Those icons work. I tried re-installation again and all patches are downloaded. Same problem. Problem is that I can't enter commands either to reduce e.g. the swappiness (if that would be of any help). Can somebody help me that encountered similar problem or knows a resolution?

    Simplified table structure (the tables can't be merged at this time): TableA: dts_received (datetime) dts_completed (datetime) task_a (varchar) TableB: dts_started (datetime) task_b (varchar) What I would like to do is determine how long a task took to complete. The join parameter would be something like ON task_a = task_b AND dts_completed < dts_started The issue is that there may be multiple date-times that occur after the dts_completed. How do I create a join that only returns the first tableB-datetime that occurs after the tableA-datetime?

  • Left mouse button not working in Xubuntu session

    I recent changed from Ubuntu to Xubuntu 12.04. The install worked great for a few days, but suddenly the left mouse button stopped working. The right click and scroll bars work fine. After a bit of experimenting I discovered that the problem only happens when I set the session to Xubuntu at login. The mouse also works fine in my dual-booted Windows vista. What could make my mouse stop working like that?

  • All printouts condensed into left half on a Samsung Color Laser printer CLP-365W

    After installing the Samsung Color Laser Printer CLP-365W in 12.04, the printout is condensed into the left half of the A4 page (regardless whether 'fit to page' on or off). This happens both with the automatically recognised Ubuntu driver and the 'Unified Linux driver' from the Samsung website. (The 300.ppd (as per 'Unified driver' install) or 360.ppd are the closest matches to '365'.) Any help?? Test page printout Test page printout closeup
