• C# datagridview right click select row and show menu to delete it

  Hello, I have few columns in my DataGridView, and there is data in my rows, I saw few solutions in here, but I can not combine them! simply a way to right-click on a row it select the whole row and show a menu with an option to delete the row and when the option selected it will delete the row I made few attempts but none is working and it looks messy any suggestions? cheers

• SQL SERVER – Challenge – Puzzle – Why does RIGHT JOIN Exists

  I had interesting conversation with the attendees of the my SQL Server Performance Tuning course. I was asked if LEFT JOIN can do the same task as RIGHT JOIN by reserving the order of the tables in join, why does RIGHT JOIN exists? The definitions are as following: Left Join – select all the records from the LEFT table and then pick up any matching records from the RIGHT table   Right Join – select all the records from the RIGHT table and then pick up any matching records from the LEFT table Most of us read from LEFT to RIGHT so we are using LEFT join. Do you have any explaination why RIGHT JOIN exists or can you come up with example, where RIGHT JOIN is absolutely required and the task can not be achieved with LEFT JOIN.   My situation is like this. Company has many users and users may belongs to many companies. And current implementation is something like below. class Company has_many :employments has_many :users, :through = :employments end class Employment belongs_to :company belongs_to :user end class User has_many :employments has_many :companies, :through = :employments #This doesn't looks correct end User has many companies doesn't looks logically meaningful.It must be some thing like belongs_to_many companies. Do I need to use has_and_belongs_to_many? But that also will gives the same meaning. Can some one please suggest the right way for representing these relationships?

• Twitter Bootstrap styling conflicts with plug-ins like jqGrid and other third part libraries

  Issues:The concern is that the Twitter Bootstrap framework is that some of their css selectors are simply too generic and have incompatibility issues and conflicts with most third party plug-ins and css libraries, like jQuery-UI and jqGrid.My most pressing concern is only with the generic selector for the styling of "INPUT" controls.Some concerns:So basically anyone using BS (Bootstrap) will have to override styling 100% of the time on all input controls on all their web pages for all the plug-ins they use that render their own styling for input controls. This seems to chisel away any reason for using Bootstrap. Overriding Bootstrap css in this case seems illogical at best as it implies the BS styling is not correct or as granular as it is supposed to be. It also suggests you realize there is an issue here. Any person who has written a fair amount of css will realize that it is a mammoth task to to take an existing app, converting it to BS and then having to find all non-BS input controls and styling them all. The worst part is that there is no generic styling for this as each input control has a different source/context, some are regular tags and some belong to plug-ins, each with their own flavor of styling. For new web apps the challenge is not that different, each time you add a new plug-in you will have to test all facets of it, and I mean all of it, pop-ups, etc, that contain any kind of input control to make sure it is styled correctly. I am having a hard time seeing the benefits of BS in this context. So until the BS team addresses the issue, or not, you may be wondering what is the easiest solution.Help the community to drive this issue home by creating a new issue on github, see my entry here: https://github.com/twitter/bootstrap/issues/4008. As you can see I got some good and some negative feedback, but we all agree it is an issue. I do believe my solution below should be reverse compatible if the proper class declarations were followed as recommended by Bootstrap.The solution:Add a higher-level qualifier to the input selector, which may not break anything.  Add "control-group" and "controls" classes as higher-level selectors, as they have to be declared inside those classes anyway as far as I understand the design approach of BS. So in my example below can modify the css without possible breaking anything, see the css at the bottom. I tested this briefly and seems to render just as expected. May not be complete as I only spent a few minutes on the css. • IE7 div boxes with clear: right and float: left - float to top

  Hey, lately i've been slamming my head against my desk to solve this Problem. Didn't work out. I know it can be solved by editing the contents with some clearing elements. Sadly there is some javascript sorting beeing used and the Sourcode is being generated by CMS Components so that would be my last shot. I'm having a few boxes beeing floated alwayes 2 in a row. The boxes have a diffrent height but equal width and are all placed in a container with static width. The link shows the source i need to reproduce the Problem. My Boxes are beeing floated left. I tried to fix this with clear: left on odd and clear: right on even elements. But that only works in ff/ie8/chrome Browsers, not ie7.   We are about to hire some consultants to help us set up an AWS-based server environment that will enable us to handle NAT Traversal for our P2P application. One important part of the NAT Traversal infrastructure is the STUN-server (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/STUN). They just told us that in order for the STUN-server to work you must have two public static IP-addresses pointing to the same server. To more specific they said this: It appears that you need 2 static IPs for each server for the STUN to work. Please note, these IPs have to be put into the configuration file, therefore, each time you restart the instance you have to make sure you either use the same IPs or you have to update configuration. As you plan to use AWS for your installation, please confirm that you can have 2 static IP for each server. Our question is if this is possible using AWS and if so, how? If not, do you know any other way to set up a STUN-server using AWS?

  OK, I am looking for some pointers. Basically I have a white-label app/site that will allow users to setup their own domain to use for their customer front-end. We have 2 dedicated servers and a load balancer. The problem is SSL, we were thinking about using AWS ELB to handle the SSL loadbalancing, but cant seem to figure out if it will properly handle it, it seems to be setup to work with EC2 instances, but we are using externally hosted servers via a loadbalancer. • Map a URL bought with Dreamhost to Amazon EC2 (AWS)

  I have several URLs I purchased through Dreamhost. I'm starting to use Amazon's AWS, and I'd like to map the URLs to Amazon. This is something of a silly question, and I've already done the same thing several times to other services (mapping from Dreamhost to WebFaction). But for some reason when I tried to find the proper way to do the same mapping to Amazon, I find a lot of detailed writing talking about whether I should be using CNAME or A records, etc. So I wanted to ask in the simplest possible terms and hopefully get a simple, concrete answer: I bought a URL from Dreamhost, I have an EC2 server running on AWS (to which I already mapped an Elastic IP address). How do I make the URL map to AWS? And if there are several options, which one should I effectively be using? P.S. Meta-question - why are things so much more difficult with AWS? When I search Google for "Move from Dreamhost to WebFaction, I get very simple answers on how to do the mapping. In what way is AWS different?

• How do you get AWS VPC EC2 instances to be able to see the AWS APIs?

  We're spinning up infrastructure inside of an AWS VPC via CloudFormation. We're using auto-scaling groups to bring up VPC-EC2 instances (so, we don't bring up instances directly; ASGs manage that). Inside of a PVC, EC2 instances only have a private IP; they cannot see the outside world without further work. When these instances spin up, we have some bootstrap tasks that require talking to the various AWS APIs. We also have some ongoing tasks that require AWS API traffic. How are you tackling this apparent chicken-egg problem? We've read about: NAT instances - but don't like this so much because it's another layer to our stack. assigning elastic-IPs to each VPC instance that needs to talk - but a) they all do, and b) since we're using ASGs, we don't know which instances to assign EIPs to at provision-time, and c) we'd need to set up something to monitor those ASGs and assign EIPs when instances are terminated and replaced spinning up an instance (actually, a load-balanced pair, probably spanning AZs) to act as an AWS-API proxy for all API traffic I guess I'm wondering whether there's some kind of back-door we can open that allows our VPC EC2 instances access to the AWS API endpoints, but nothing else, for cheap-complexity setup, that doesn't add another network-hop layer to our infrastructure for serving requests.

• Finding the right version of the right JAR in a maven repository

  I'm converting a build that has 71 .jar files in its global lib/ directory to use Maven. Of course, these have been pulled from the web by lots of developers over the past ten years of this project's history, and weren't always added to VCS with all the necessary version info, etc. Is there an easy, automated way to go from that set of .jar files to the corresponding <dependency/> elements for use in my pom.xml files? I'm hoping for a web page where I can submit the checksum of a jar file and get back an XML snippet. The google hits for 'maven repository search' are basically just finding name-based searches. And http://repo1.maven.org/ has no search whatsoever, as far as I can see. Update: GrepCode looks like it can find projects given an MD5 checksum. But it doesn't provide the particular details (groupId, artifactId) that Maven needs.

  As many of the existing Http APIs for Cloud Services, AWS also provides a set of different platform SDKs for hiding many of complexities present in the APIs. While there is a platform SDK for .NET, which is open source and available in C#, that SDK does not work in Win8 Metro Applications for the changes introduced in WinRT. WinRT offers a complete different set of APIs for doing I/O operations such as doing http calls or using cryptography for signing or encrypting data, two aspects that are absolutely necessary for consuming AWS. All the I/O APIs available as part of WinRT are asynchronous, and uses the TPL model for .NET applications (HTML and JavaScript Metro applications use a model based in promises, which is similar concept).  In the case of S3, the http Authorization header is used for two purposes, authenticating clients and make sure the messages were not altered while they were in transit. For doing that, it uses a signature or hash of the message content and some of the headers using a symmetric key (That's just one of the available mechanisms). Windows Azure for example also uses the same mechanism in many of its APIs. There are three challenges that any developer working for first time in Metro will have to face to consume S3, the new WinRT APIs, the asynchronous nature of them and the complexity introduced for generating the Authorization header. Having said that, I decided to write this post with some of the gotchas I found myself trying to consume this Amazon service. 1. Generating the signature for the Authorization header All the cryptography APIs in WinRT are available under Windows.Security.Cryptography namespace. Many of operations available in these APIs uses the concept of buffers (IBuffer) for representing a chunk of binary data. There are a few things that don't work with a raw WebHttpRequest such as setting the Host header, which is something absolutely required for consuming S3. Also, HttpClient is more friendly for doing unit tests, as it receives a HttpMessageHandler as part of the constructor that can fake to emulate a real http call. • How to get Word 2003 to make my print layout go from left to right?

  My copy of MS Word 2003 was installed on my computer with the locale set to Israel, so among other things my Normal.dot template was set up for right-to-left. I managed to fix most of the Hebrew support things so that I am working in English by default now. The only thing I haven't found a cure for is how to make the "print layout" view also go from left to right; as things are, the page flow always appears from right to left, even in English documents - IOW, page 1 appears on the right of page 2, as shown below. I can't see any obvious option to change this. How do I do it?

  so I'm a bit overwhelmed/bewildered by the whole concept of networking/remote-desktop , etc. The context is that - in my company I need to access a remote database. The standard way I use is to first connect using a VPN-Client( called Shrew Soft Access manager), then once that says: "network device configured tunnel enabled" I'm good to connect using windows "Remote Desktop Connection" . But now our company set up an Amazon AWS database, and I'm told I need to connect, and I ony need to use RDP. So I tried the standard windows one - but it doesn't work. On wikipedia , I looked up remote desktop sftware and downloaded one called VNC Viewer. but it doesn't work. Any advice/tips/comments appreciated EDIT: YAYA! I finally got a little more connected .   I'm trying to deploy a Java Application to AWS free tier. I need the following: RDS provider. Using MySQL client S3 service. This is required for the Lucene Index and image uploading SES service. I need to be able to send emails to new registered users. Namecheap is my domain provider. EC2 instance Elastic Beanstalk instance. I managed to create an EC2 instance, upload the WAR file and link it to the Namecheap domain. However I find it difficult to link the other instances to the current application. I find the documentation a little messy and I can't find the right way to do this. Can you provide a simple walk through to deployment for this use case? Thanks!

• rails2 and aws-simple (simpledb): data cannot be deleted from amazon simpledb?
