• Printing background colours in Chrome

  Hi, I'm trying to print a php generated document in Chrome. On the browser it looks fine, but my printer will not print any coloured backgrounds. I know that IE has an option to print background but Chrome does not. As the end user will print this off, I do not want to find alternatives like a screen grab or save file etc. I want to find a real solution to this. • Different background color for multiple filetypes in vim

  Is it possible to have different background colors in vim (ie. one light, one dark) when dealing with files with multiple filetypes (ie. :set ft=html.php)? In PHP code with HTML embedded, it can be difficult to see one single PHP statement amongst dozens of HTML lines, see below. I'll settle for anything, be it different bg color, a marker in the margin, a second left margin (one vim plugin does this for marks), maybe highlighting the <?php tag for example (although that's less than ideal) EDIT: I don't think this is possible at the syntax level as the syntax appears to use a limited number of elements (String, Function, Identifier...). This is no doubt to allow for the easy integration with colorschemes. SyntaxAttr is a good plugin to demonstrate this. Put it over any part of the code and it will tell you what syntax group it belongs to.

• CS3, Illustrator - Where Do X/Y Coordinates Measure from?

  I have a project where there are several PDF files. I'm using Illustrator to make these. It seems the point/line of origin is inconsistent from image to image (file to file). Where is the point of origin, by default, in CS3 Illustrator? It would be nice if, while I was positioning images, I could just say, "OK, x coordinate is 5.5 inches in this document, so it is 5.5 in that one." But it seems this is not the case. Anyone know how Illustrator sets these parameters?

• I can't remove a background image in Powerpoint 2007

  Hello Everyone! I have a Powerpoint 2007 document. There is this annoying background graphic in my Powerpoint slide. I know about slide master, but this little bugger is not something that I can delete from slide master. Argh!!!! • Unable to use autossh in background even with absolute path

  I would love to set autossh to run at boot adding it to /etc/rc.local. This command works: autossh -i /root/.ssh/id_rsa -R 2522:localhost:22 user@address But, if I add the -f option autossh -f -i /root/.ssh/id_rsa -R 2522:localhost:22 user@address The ssh session is not started. As you can see, I'm using an absolute path for my identity file, so this seems to be a different problem from the one stated here: autossh in background does not work From /var/log/syslog: Oct 18 11:08:39 raspberrypi autossh[2417]: starting ssh (count 1) Oct 18 11:08:39 raspberrypi autossh[2417]: ssh child pid is 2418 Oct 18 11:08:39 raspberrypi autossh[2417]: ssh exited with status 0; autossh exiting I'm using it with debian wheezy on a raspberry pi, autossh version 1.4c. • Am I using too much memory? (Rails on EC2 with Resque)

  I am searching for a tool that allows background recording of my pc screen. I it is nothing like a spy tool, I just need to be able to check what I was doing at the some time in the past. Small impact on the system, and relatively small size of recordings, as it is supposed to run all time pc is turned on. Some recording management as auto pruning of recordings older than x days. UPD This is not a problem if some scripting is necessary to achieve what is described in the question. So it could be a command line recording tool which could be used from batch, bash (cygwin, mingw) scripts.

• I want to DEACTIVATE the window's focus, please help me

  I want to disable something for a specific window : the window's ability to get activated or focused. Everytime a window gets a focus or it gets activated( ex: when you click on it ) ,the window appears the top most of all windows. So I want to stay forever in the 'background'. And to do this , maybe I need somehow to remove the possibily of having focus for that windows... EDIt: I know the window can be hided or minimized but I need it displayed on the monitor. Can this be possible, please help me, thankyou so much!

• Windows 7 Desktop slideshow

  I have my windows 7 (Home Professional if it matters) set to automatically change the background every 20 minutes with the source of the slideshow as a folder in the Pictures library. Recently, the slideshow has not been functioning. The pictures do not change while the computer is on; they only seem to change when it is shut down (i.e. there is a different desktop on each boot), or about 50% of the time when waking the computer from hibernation. I've changed the time settings, the folder location on the drive, and made sure to disable all programs that tweak the desktop with no luck. Any thoughts?

• Get the touch position inside the imageview in android

  I have a imageview in my activity and I am able to get the position where the user touch the imageview, through onTouchListener. I placed another image where the user touch over that image. I need to store the touch position(x,y), and use it in another activity, to show the tags. I stored the touch position in the first activity. In the first activity, my imageview at the top of the screen. In the second activity its at the bottom of the screen. If I use the position stored from the first acitvity, it place the tag image at the top, not on the imageview, where I previously clicked in the first activity. Is there anyway to get the position inside the imageview. • How to make other semantics behave like SV_Position?

  I'm having a lot of trouble with shadow mapping, and I believe I've found the problem. When passing vectors from the vertex shader to the pixel shader, does the hardware automatically change any of the values based on the semantic? I've compiled a barebones pair of shaders which should illustrate the problem.   One of my most favorite websites is that of the Oxford Hotel in Romania. I like the simplicity of the site and how it flows. I am trying to create a similar scrolling effect using jquery and I've been somewhat successful to a point. My trouble is with css... I am not a wizard in that department. Anyway,...my questions! 1. How can I first make sure that the ".box" class will be in the center of the page when the corresponding link is clicked? Right now it positions itself on the left. 2. Then, how can I tweak this code so that the user only can see the width of the screen and not the browser scroller/the rest of my ".box" divs? Something like: myView.backgroundColor = [NSColor colorWithCalibratedRed:0.227f green:0.251f blue:0.337 alpha:0.8]; I notice that NSWindow has this method, and I'm not a big fan of the NSColorWheel, or NSImage background options, but if they are the best, willing to use.

  I have flex advancedDataGrid (could use dataGrid if that works better, though i like my meta-column headers), and i want to have a component popup on top of a selected row. The problem is, i can figure out how to reference an actual rendered row of a datagrid (rather than an item of the dataprovider) in order to get its position on the screen. Does anyone have any theories on how to access a "row" of a datagrid, or at least get its position? Cheers
