• Transfer page from internal to external

  Afternoon all! Currently I have a website with a list of audio products (essentially a search engine for audio deals). http://www.soundplaza.co.uk Once you go to the details page, you can then press the 'view deal' button to go to providers site e.g. = http://www.soundplaza.co.uk/all-deals/113/bookshelf-speakers/acoustic-energy-1 This jump between two sites is a bit harsh and I would like to show a transition page, to simply ease them into another site and not scare them off. Within this tradition page I will have a simple loading gif and some graphics showing that your transferring. QUESTION: What is the best way to send the details (link, product name etc) to this transfer page, to then wait 5 seconds, to then move on to the desired link... this can in NO WAY damage my SEO, if anything rel="nofollow" would be great if possible. Currently I have seen that you can submit form to the transition page, then you can use php sleep and then php header to transfer... however I am not sure if php header will transfer SEO value tot he provider? Any opinions would be great! Thanks

My Oracle Support Communities (MOSC)  is a well established platform where experiences are shared. Reputation and trust are the basis for the quality of all communication there. A personalized  profile can help to build up a good reputation. Besides the experience counter, a good name, details about your location and business experience are valuable details. Although a little bit hidden, the profile's avatar can be customized, too. The profile's avatar is an eye catcher and can act as an unique visual representation for  you.  How to add / modify MOSC profile avatar (picture, icon)  ?    Don't look in Edit Profile section. After login, click on  your profile's name on top right.   This lists all public information as part of the Bio section. Select the Activity tab. The Change Avatar link is on same level at far right. A list of predefined symbolic pictures is populated. Choose from the list of existing pictures or try Add Another to upload an image file from your local computer (JPG, PNG, GIF, or BMP only, maximum file size of 2.0 MB). Note: New added images can be used only after running through a review process. Usually after one business day they can be selected for your personal avatar.

  A DotNetNuke i'm supporting has had a paypal "buy now" button and other variations with custom fields for a while now. About 2 weeks ago (somewhere in March 2010) they all stopped working. The problem manifested such that once you clicked the "buy now" button, Paypal site would throw a scary error page to the effect of: "Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log" Once I verified no cheeky content editor changed the page, I went digging for answers. The main source incompatibility of PayPal's simple HTML forms is that DNN includes a form on every page, and nested forms are not really supported. As blogged here and lamented here, the solution I came up with is simply to modify the form enctype to 'application/x-www-form-urlencoded' as illustrated below: 1: <input type="image" border="0" 2: src="https://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/btn/btn_buynowCC_LG.gif" 3: name="submit" 4: alt="PayPal - The safer, easier way to pay online!" 5: onClick="this.form.action='https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr'; this.form.enctype='application/x-www-form-urlencoded';this.form.submit();" /> One would think that PayPal would want the masses submitting HTML in all manners of "enctype", but I guess every company has it's quirks. • How do I get an application to appear as a choice in update-alternatives?

  I separately installed the Firefox Beta and Alpha channels, and have desktop configuration files pointing to them in ~/.local/share/applications. However, stable Firefox is being used as my default browser by the system. (Firefox Beta used to be used until I messed with the "Default Applications" in System Settings, where it is not listed.) I tried running sudo update-alternatives --config x-www-browser to manually change it, but it's only recognizing Chromium and Firefox (stable) and showing them as a choice. What can I do to get custom desktop configuration files in ~/.local/share/applications to be seen as default alternatives? I think I may have to fiddle with the desktop config files, or with mimeinfo.cache or mimeapps.list? Running Oneiric. (24bpp/32bpp, compressed/raw, etc) I'm not working with 3D graphics or DirectX / OpenGL rendering and so I don't need to use graphics card compatible bitmap formats. My questions: What is the "usual" or "normal" way to store bitmaps in memory? (in C++ engines/projects?) How to store bitmaps for high-performance algorithms, such that read/write times are the fastest? (fixed array? with/without padding? 24-bpp or 32-bpp?) How to store bitmaps for applications handling a lot of bitmap data, to minimize memory usage? (JPEG? or a faster [de]compression algorithm?) Some possible methods: Use a fixed packed 24-bpp or 32-bpp int[] array and simply access pixels using pointer access, all pixels are allocated in one continuous memory chunk (could be 1-10 MB) Use a form of "sparse" data storage so each line of the bitmap is allocated separately, reusing more memory and requiring smaller contiguous memory segments Store bitmaps in its compressed form (PNG, JPG, GIF, etc) and unpack only when its needed, reducing the amount of memory used. Delete the unpacked data if its not used for 10 secs.

So the blue element is the main content of the website and the yellow element represents something like a diagram or an image that has a greater width than the blue element. Ideally, I would like a purely CSS solution that is able to deal with various sizes of images. I have tried various things but have failed so far. I hope you can help!   I have a static mockup page, which I want to "customize" by switching a variable used in image-src and link-href attributes. Paths will look like this: <img src="/some/where/VARIABLE/img/1.jpg" alt="" /> <link rel="some" href="/some/where/VARIABLE/stuff/foo.bar" /> I'm setting a cookie with the VARIABLE value on the preceding page and now want to modfiy the paths accordingly by replacing VARIABLE with the cookie value. I'm a htaccess newbie. • URL is generating a /#!/splash-page

  My site for some reason is generating a shebang - /#!/splash-page on the URL. For example when I type www.modernvintage1005.com, the browser returns www.modernvintage1005.com/#!/splash-page and every subsequent page is /#!/about, /#!/contact, and so forth. There's absolutely nothing on the Google about this. There is a lot of rewrite help to eliminate .index.php from the home page, but that's it. How do I rewrite it to just say domain.com and domain.com/about.html, etc.? • 16-bit PNGs in Slick2D

  I'm working on a project and I'm using some 3rd party sprites just to get it off the ground; recently I've come into a hitch. Slick2D doesn't seem to want to load my images. That is, it will warn me that images are the wrong bit-depth. All the images are in 16-bit PNG form (PNG is required for transparency). Is there any way I can disable the warning (being the bad guy programmer (the console print for each individual load REALLY SLOWS DOWN the image)) or is there another solution? I was thinking about converting all images (using imagemagick) to .gif (with an alpha channel). Would there be any loss in quality between formats? EDIT: I tried using imagemagick but some of the sprites use pure black so I can't do that without wrecking the image. EDIT2: using "identify" on any of the images show them as being 8-bit.. but Slick2D won't load them. What the hell? D: EDIT3: Issue solved (ish). If you are googling this then just disable the java png loader from slick by sticking this somewhere in your code (like the main method): System.setProperty("org.newdawn.slick.pngloader", "false");

I would like to make a program that everytime I click on the figure it rotates it to the right. • Advice needed on Process - Service Design

  Need some advice from experts on designing a flow. Create a service that will read a csv file which may contain anywhere over 6000+ rows of individual ids as shown in the sample below. Need to read that file and go to oracle database and fetch a vname,vnumber,vid of each id in the csv and then go to document repository i.e. Oracle UCM and download all documents matching vname,vnumber,vid there can be =0 documents for each vname,vnumber,vid and save them on a file system. UCM exposes a webservice to dowload the documents. Finally create a new csv appending the filenames that are downloaded for each id. Need to keep track of any errors but need to make sure to go over the whole ids in the csv to download the documents and skip in case of errors. Need some advice on how to go about designing this as there may be over 6000+ rows in a csv file and looping it and hitting the database for each individual id and then hitting a UCM may be a bit expensive so open for any idea. How to go by designing this solution. • Rotating object around moving object/player in 2D

  I am trying to implement a camera which rotates around the world around the player. I have found many solutions online to the task of rotating an object about the origin, or about an arbitrary point. The procedure seems to be to translate the point to be rotated about to the origin, perform the rotation, translate back, then draw. I have gotten this working for rotation around the origin as well as for a fixed point. Rotation of objects around the player works as well, provided the player does not move. However, if the objects are rotated around the player by some non-zero degree, if the player moves after the rotation it causes the rotated objects to move as well. I probably have done a poor job explaining this so here's an image: http://i.imgur.com/1n63iWR.gif And here's the code for the behavior: renderx = (Ox - Px)*cos(camAngle) - (Oy - Py)*sin(camAngle) + Px; rendery = (Ox - Px)*sin(camAngle) + (Oy - Py)*cos(camAngle) + Py; Where (Ox,Oy) is the actual position of the object to be rotated and (Px,Py) is the actual position of the player.   In my previous post Developing web apps using ASP.NET MVC 3, Razor and EF Code First - Part 1, we have discussed on how to work with ASP.NET MVC 3 and EF Code First for developing web apps. We have created generic repository and unit of work with EF Code First for our ASP.NET MVC 3 application and did basic CRUD operations against a simple domain entity. In this post, I will demonstrate on working with domain entity with deep object graph, Service Layer and View Models and will also complete the rest of the demo application. In the previous post, we have done CRUD operations against Category entity and this post will be focus on Expense entity those have an association with Category entity. ModelCopier class has two static methods - CopyCollection and CopyModel.CopyCollection method will copy values between two collection objects and CopyModel will copy values between two model objects. We have used CopyModel method of ModelCopier class for copying values from expenseViewModel object to expense object. Finally we did a call to CreateExpense method of ExpenseService class for persisting new expense transaction. List Expense Transactions We want to list expense transactions based on a date range. Add jQuery DatePicker Our search functionality is using a date range so we are providing two date pickers using jQuery datepicker.   In previous post, I have discussed on how to work with ASP.NET MVC 3 and EF Code First for developing web apps. In this post, I will demonstrate on working with domain entity with deep object graph, Service Layer and View Models and will also complete the rest of the demo application. In the previous post, we have done CRUD operations against Category entity and this post will be focus on Expense entity those have an association with Category entity. On the other hand, View Model objects are designed for our needs for views. We have an Expense domain entity that has an association with Category. While we are creating a new Expense, we have to specify that in which Category belongs with the new Expense transaction. The user interface for Expense transaction will have form fields for representing the Expense entity and a CategoryId for representing the Category. ASP.NET MVC futures assembly provides a static class ModelCopier that can use for copying values between Model objects. ModelCopier class has two static methods - CopyCollection and CopyModel.CopyCollection method will copy values between two collection objects and CopyModel will copy values between two model objects. We have used CopyModel method of ModelCopier class for copying values from expenseViewModel object to expense object. Finally we did a call to CreateExpense method of ExpenseService class for persisting new expense transaction. List Expense Transactions We want to list expense transactions based on a date range. The search functionality will call the Index Action method and this will return partial view ExpenseList for updating the search result. We want to update the response UI for the Ajax request onto divExpenseList element. So we have specified the UpdateTargetId as "divExpenseList" in the Ajax.BeginForm method. Add jQuery DatePicker Our search functionality is using a date range so we are providing two date pickers using jQuery datepicker. You need to add reference to the following JavaScript files to working with jQuery datepicker. - jquery-ui.js - jquery.ui.datepicker.js For theme support for datepicker, we can use a customized CSS class. In our example we have used a CSS file “jquery-ui-1.8.6.custom.css”. For more details about the datepicker component, visit jquery UI website at http://jqueryui.com/demos/datepicker . You can implement these approaches in your own way for building web apps using ASP.NET MVC 3. I will refactor this demo app on later time.

  Hi, in my current project I used a AsyncFileUpload control from AJAX Control Toolkits. After I got the async file upload part working, I needed to filter the file type so users can only upload image files.   Macromedia Flash 8 Question: I have a map of Ireland, just a gif, and there are several small buttons representing various point of interest around Ireland, which are scattered across the map. This part works fine. THE PROBLEM: Dublin is too small to contain all of its points of interest (approx 20). THE SOLUTION OnMouseOver Dublin, I would like Dublin to expand to perhaps 5 or 6 times its original size, and I would like to be able to have Dublins Points Of Interests now displayed within this larger dublin area, which sits on top of the Ireland map. OnMouseOut Dublin, this enlarged Dublin region now shrinks back to its original size. MY QUESTION: How do I implement Dublin?? REQUIREMENTS: 1) The expanded Dublin region shud NOT be clickable, it shud simply be a dublin image on a black background. 2) It must be possible to add additional buttons within this expanded Dublin region. If I change it to not use the default namespace (xmlns:lib="http://libs.domain.com" and prefix all items in the XML file with lib and change the XPath expressions to include the namespace prefix (/lib:library/lib:book) then it again works file. Why? and what am I missing?
