  • Easy way to check if item is in list?

    Hey guys, I'm writing a search algorithm in C++, and one of the things I need to do is have a few if statements that check cells above, below, left of, and right of. Each time a cell is found to be open and added to the stack, I want it added to a list of cells already checked. I want to be able to say in the if loop if(thisCell is not in checkedCells). Any simple ideas? Thanks!

It reads the array and creates cubes for positions with a value and checks adjacent directions (North,south,east,west,up,down) for a null value before setting up a cube's face. Unfortunately, opposed to other situations i encountered before, here there is no way to avoid using awt and make use of Swing in this case. And this was just an SSCCE i made to show the problem and my recent (also first) application suffers from this subject. Note: it seems i can not attach anything, so the contents od the text file would be this: ????? and the contents of properties file: #Sun May 02 09:45:10 IRDT 2010 tray.show=????? but i don't think by giving you the unicode-scape sequence, these would be necessary any way...
