  I am using python-monetdb 11.16.0.7. I created my database farm and database according to instructions given below (source: http://www.monetdb.org/Documentation/monetdbd) % monetdbd start /home/my-dbfarm % monetdb create my-first-db Then I tried to connect to the database using the below mentioned command in python(https://pypi.python.org/pypi/python-monetdb/). • NSFormatter problem: not getting called for the empty string

  I have created a custom formatter for my (read-only) table column. It looks like this: - (NSString *)stringForObjectValue:(id)anObject { NSAssert([anObject isKindOfClass:[NSString class]] && anObject != nil, @"invalid object"); if ([anObject isEqualToString:@""]) return @"EMPTY"; else return [anObject stringByAppendingString:@"++"]; } Very simple. The corresponding objects are just strings, so it's an string-to-string formatter. All non-empty string objects are returned with @"++" appended to them. Empty string objects should be turned into the @"EMPTY" string. The @"++" gets appended to non-empty strings just fine. The problem is, @"EMPTY" never gets shown! My formatter is never called by Cocoa when the underlying object is the empty string. The corresponding row just keeps being empty, instead of showing my requested @"EMPTY". Any ideas?

  Hello, I am quite a jQuery novice and try to read out the result of a PageMethod into my jQuery script. • Why is the CoreData stack in XCode's CoreData enabled template treated as private?

  In regards to XCode templates with CoreData enabled, I've read http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2729055/unclear-use-of-property-in-window-app-using-core-data which goes over the 'what' in the templates. But I am having an issue with the 'why'. By declaring the category in the implementation file, the CoreData accessors act like private methods. The problem with that is whenever you want to use CoreData elsewhere in your app, you need some extra code. I've figured you need to either supply your own method that exposes the managed object context, such as... - (NSManagedObjectContext *)getManagedObjectContext { return self.managedObjectContext; } ...which will allow other parts of your app to use it. Or you would need to jam pack your app delegate with specific methods to return managed objects, ie getProducts or setUser. Can anyone shed light on the reasoning here?

Please note that my application can already handle these CRUD operations perfectly (LINQ-To-Entity). However, I have a problem with my popup forms.   I am putting in the samle date and i am supposed to do something similar what i am asking. I want to run a query that would pull values in any two columns out 3 if it has a 1 or if any one column has a 1 it will return just those results. However it should search all three columns and in any of the three columns where it found value as 1 it should return that result. Can anyone please help me with this. Thanks in advance. For Instance, The stored procedure should have three Input parameters... 1- Table Name 2- Column Name 3- Column Value If 1- Table Name = "EMP" 2- Column Name = "EMPID" 3- Column Value = "15" Then the output should be, select all the values of EMP where EMPID is 15 Once the values are selected for above condition, the stored procedure must return the script for inserting the selected values. The purpose of this is to take backup of selected values. when the SP returns a value {Insert statements}, c# will just write them to a .sql file.   I see that using JSON.Net, I can decode polymorphic objects if a $type attribute specifies the specific type of the JSON object. In all the examples I've seen, $type includes the namespace. Is it possible to make this work including just a simple typename without the assembly? There is a default hellow world webmethod and calling that work but it seem that when i try to call a method where i need to pass parameters and it need to execute code it wont work and just return my error message. any ideas on what can be wrong. am I using the wrong web method?

• Jquery Delay Function Calls

  I'm trying to find a way to delay all code that takes place after I make a service call. The reason for this delay is that my service returns code necesarry for the following functions and the result I pass is to these following functions is undefined.   I working with the latest draft of the twitter annotations api. An example bit of data looks like status { annotations : [ {myAnnotationType:{myKey:myValue}}, {someoneElsesAnnotationType:{theirKey:theirValue}}, ] } now i want to check a status to see if it has an annotation with myAnnotationType in it. If annotations was a hash instead of an array I could just write var ann = status.annotations.myAnnotationType.   my view generates keys in this format ["job_id:1234567890", 1271430291000] where the first key element is a unique key and the second is a timestamp in milliseconds. How can I achieve this? Also, if during execution the database goes down and comes up again, how can i ensure that my program recovers from this and continues running instead of throwing an exception and exiting?
