  • How to solve with using Flex Builder 3 and BlazeDS?

    Hi, everyone. Thank you for interesting in my question, I think you can help me out from this little problem. I am using Flex builder 3, BlazeDS, and Java with Spring and Hibernate framework. I using the remote object to load a string from spring's configuration files. But in testing, I found this fault event like this: RPC Fault faultString="java.lang.NullPointerException" faultCode="Server.Processing" faultDetail="null" I have check the configuration in remote-config.xml and services-config.xml. But it looks good. There is some people talked about this problem around the internet and I think you can help me and them.     hi, I've installed the usb driver, i'm running win7. I can see that the driver is installed in the window-android SDK and AVD manager-installed packages but when i'm writing "adb devices" in the cmd it doesnt show like the phone is connected (it is - it has the orange led on..) I'm using the HTC G1. I also did the "Turn on "USB Debugging" on your device" step... anyone got an idea??

    In another SO question I asked why my java programs run faster on AMD than on Intel machines. But it seems that I'm the only one who has observed this. Now I would like to invite you to share the numbers of your local java performance with the SO community. I observed a big performance difference when watching the startup of JBoss on different hardware, so I set this program as the base for this comparison. For participation please download JBoss 5.1.0.GA and run: jboss-5.1.0.GA/bin/run.sh (or run.bat) This starts a standard configuration of JBoss without any extra applications. Then look for the last line of the start procedure which looks like this: [ServerImpl] JBoss (Microcontainer) [5.1.0.GA (build: SVNTag=JBoss_5_1_0_GA date=200905221634)] Started in 25s:264ms Please repeat this procedure until the printed time is somewhat stable and post this line together with some comments on your hardware (I used cpu-z to get the infos) and operating system like this: java version: 1.6.0_13 OS: Windows XP Board: ASUS M4A78T-E Processor: AMD Phenom II X3 720, 2.8 GHz RAM: 2*2 GB DDR3 (labeled 1333 MHz) GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT disc: Seagate 1.5 TB (ST31500341AS) Use your votes to bring the fastest configuration to the top.   • ActiveMQ 5.2.0 + REST + HTTP POST = java.lang.OutOfMemoryError

    First off, I am a newbie when it comes to JMS & ActiveMQ. I have been looking into a messaging solution to serve as middleware for a message producer that will insert XML messages into a queue via HTTP POST. The producer is an existing system written in C++ that cannot be modified (so Java and the C++ API are out). Using the "demo" examples and some trial and error, I have cobbled together a working example of what I want to do (on a windows box). The web.xml I configured in a test directory under "webapps" specifies that the HTTP POST messages received from the producer are to be handled by the MessageServlet. I added a line for the text app in "activemq.xml" ('ow' is the test app dir): I created a test script to "insert" messages into the queue which works well. The problem I am running into is that it as I continue to insert messages via REST/HTTP POST, the memory consumption and thread count used by ActiveMQ continues to rise (It happens when I have timely consumers as well as slow or non-existent consumers). When memory consumption gets around 250MB's and the thread count exceeds 5000 (as shown in windows task manager), ActiveMQ crashes and I see this in the log: Exception in thread "ActiveMQ Transport Initiator: vm://localhost#3564" java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: unable to create new native thread It is as if Jetty is spawning a new thread to handle each HTTP POST and the thread never dies. I did look at this page: http://activemq.apache.org/javalangoutofmemory.html and tried but that didn't fix the problem (although I didn't fully understand the implications of the change either). Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks! Bruce Loth PS - I included the "test message producer" python script below for what it is worth.   • Eclipse CDT: cannot debug or terminate application

    I have Eclipse set up fairly nicely to run the G++ compiler through Cygwin. Even the character encoding is set up correctly! There still seems to be something wrong with my configuration: I can't debug. The pause button in the debug view is simply disabled, and no threads appear in my application tree. It seems that gdb is simply not communicating with Eclipse. Presently, I have the debug settings as follows: Debugger: "Cygwin gdb Debugger" GDB debugger: gdb GDB command file: .gdbinit Protocol: Default I should mention here that I have no idea what .gdbinit does; in my project it is merely an empty file. What is wrong with my configuration? Debugging When attempting to terminate the application in debug mode, Eclipse displays the following error: Target request failed: failed to interrupt. I can't kill the process, either; I have to kill its parent gdb.exe, which in turn kills my application. Running When running it normally, a bunch of kill.exes are called, doing nothing, while Eclipse displays the following error: Terminate failed. I can kill FaceDetector.exe from the task manager. But the first part of code return the only first character from TCHAR to LPCSTR.

  • Multiple Ruby versions on one webserver?

    The Ideal Using rvm, it would be awesome to be able to have multiple Rubies on one webserver, and through some sort of server configuration, be able to assign Ruby versions to different Rails/Sinatra/etc apps on a per-project basis. I am aware, from rvm's documentation, that Passenger only works with one Ruby at a time. :( The Compromise Failing that, it would be nice to at least be able to concoct a way to be able to assign projects to a Ruby 1.8 or a Ruby 1.9 interpreter. I've read that using Nginx as a reverse proxy allows running Apache and Nginx on the same box. Would it then be possible to have Apache+Passenger using one Ruby, and Nginx+Passenger using a different one? Maybe use something other than Passenger with Nginx? Am I Barking Up the Wrong Tree? Am I missing a good solution to this issue? Am I walking into a nightmare configuration situation? Is what I want even viable, or is it necessary to run another box to run a separate Ruby version?

    Hello, I'd like to import a real Windows Server 2008 server as a Hyper-V Virtual Server on another Windows Server 2008 instance. Anyone have any idea how to do this? I'm looking at the System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008 but it doesn't seem to import Windows Server 2008 - nor is it free. Is there some other workaround (i.e. import the image into VMWare first, then convert to Hyper-V)? Please help. Regards, Randall

    Is there a way using Python to simulate the presence of an active network connection using dbus? If I call getstate() on the dbus, I'm able to get the current network state. I want to set the current state to 4 (Connection Present). This is because Network Manager is not able to connect using my modem and I use other tools to connect. Pidgin, Empathy and other software are not able to detect the network.

  • How to access device settings on a Sony Ericsson mobile phone?

    Edited on April 29th Hello everyone, I recently bought a Sony Ericsson mobile phone which embeds Symbian S60 and I would like to add a missing feature myself. In fact I cannot actually disable Internet connection in an easy way when roaming, which cost me a lot of money last time I moved away ... So I would like to develop a little application that would just replace the actual Internet configuration with a fake configuration to avoid auto-connections. So what I would like to know is how can I access programmatically to my phone settings? I believe that this is possible but I do not really have a clue where to start. I know that Sony Ericsson provides a SDK to run Java applications on its customised JVM but Symbian is also providing a SDK to develop applications for S60 devices in many languages. The real questions is which SDK will provide an API able to access phone settings. This is not well documented so I am asking this question with the hope that someone here already had experience with development for Sony Ericsson/Symbian devices. Thanks. EDIT: It seems that I was totally wrong concerning my phone. This not based on any Symbian OS at all. This is pure Sony Ericsson so the only solution would be to look if Sony Ericsson extended J2ME functionality in their own JVM. I am gonna investigate on this.

    I want to execute a build.xml (Ant buildfile) from using GMaven (Maven Plugin for inline executing of Groovy in a POM). Since I have to execute the buildfile several times using the maven-antrun-plugin is not an option at the moment. I take a list of properties (environment and machine names) from an xml file and want to execute ant builds for each of those machines. I found the executeTarget method in the javadocs but not how to set the location of the buildfile. How can I do that - and is this enough? I know nunit is not in the GAC (not strongly signed). Does Nunit have to be in the GAC for this task to work?

    I was wondering please, the RTP manager in the JMF can perform as a uni-cast,multi-cast, uni-multi-cast, if the session is multi cast the you add the local address to the target list, why is that? what is the logic and effect behind this? thanks for your help, Adam.
