    Hello, I just found out by using TCPView that one of my svchost.exe had an http connection in "CLOSE_WAIT" to a strange ip address, although no other visible program was running. With the help of Process Explorer I discovered that this svchost was using the WebClient windows service. I'm wondering how I can figure out what program used WebClient to connect to this ip, in order to determine if it's malware.

    Hi I am beginner for SSH stuff but i want to dump a big sql file and for that i need to be able to navigate to the appropriate path in my hosting account. I managed to login to SSH and i typed pwdbut it gave me a shared hosting pathway like /home/content/r/o/s/roshanjonah How Can i go to the path where i upload my files to...i use FTP but in FTP path it just shows / so i cannot go any further back than that...so using SSH how can i come to this path in ftp...   • Does anyone know about nagios plugin that uses nmap and does port checking??

    Hi to all. I need to monitor open and closed ports on dozens of hosts. I've found a Nagios plugin that does what I need, but I would have to use this script through nrpe. Some of the hosts are powered by linux and they all have perl installed. But some of them are Windows machines, and it's not convenient for me to install perl on every one of them. That's why I can not use this plugin. I hope that there's Nagios plugin that uses nmap, or something similar, so it could check ports on every host remotely, without installing plugins on remote hosts, only on server.

  • I used "autoconf6" (used to configure IPV6) on an AIX 6 target and I don't know how to change it back.

    So I got curious and ran autoconf6 and now I can't figure out how to undo the changes that were made. I have tried using smitty to modify the en0 interface but have had no luck getting it back to it's old configuration.   • Anyone know of a command-line torrent client to run on a server?

    I have an account with a torrent site that gives and takes credits when you upload/download respectively. My ideal setup to keep my credits going would be some kind of media box that keeps and manages my music and videos etc. Ideally, I'd like this to be a headless box that I could just telnet into and have it run torrents that way.   • My Macbook Pro wifi intermittently won't turn on sometimes after sleep, does anyone know how to solve this?

    Hello, My current-generation MacBook Pro 15" (10.6.5) intermittently has problems turning the wifi (airport) on. The usual symptom happens when I: Sleep the machine Open from sleep Wifi is off (the airport signal is blank) I click on airport icon-Turn Airport On, but nothing happens. I googled around a bit and found one recommended solution where I delete the "automatic" location and create a new one and enable the wifi, or I delete the "AirPort" from the location and add it back, but neither of these resolve the problem. I also called AppleCare and they had me delete /Library/SystemConfiguration and restart, but that hasn't solved the problem. I have to reboot, which is very painful. Does anyone have any idea of how to solve this?

  • How to know disk quota on network share in windows?

    I connect to a share on a windows server and I have a quota of unknown size. All the tools I have seen are reporting the disk size/disk free space, not the quota size for myself. The only way I can figure out my quotas is to keep writing junk until I reach the quota. There must be a better way than this? My PC is windows XP and the servers are mainly 2003server.

  • Anyone know how to get dual screens working on a Dell E6410 laptop with Ubuntu 10.04 64 bit?

    I've installed the drivers from nVidia. When I go into the NVIDIA X Server Settings application, in the X Server Display Configuration setcion, and click the "Configure" button, "TwinView" is disabled. Also, clicking "Detect Displays" doesn't pick up my monitor (which is connected through a port replicator - keyboard and mouse in that port replicator work fine). Has anyone else seen this? Is this just a limitation of the current nvidia linux drivers?

    Basically, what I'm looking for is a place for either one of our end users to be able to upload a file to this package, after either receiving a code from one of our support engineers or vice-versa(our engineers upload a file and send a code/link/something to end user) I've spent a bunch of time googling this, I found this: http://turin.nss.udel.edu/programming/dropbox2/, but the code there scares me, and it also doesn't render properly using PHP 5.3(uses short tags, who knows what else.) Does anyone have any recommendations?

  • Does anyone know why rsync would keep sending the files over and over again?

    I'm trying to using rsync to backup some files, about half a TB. It's now it a state where it keeps sending the same files everytime it runs. for example: rsync -av /data/source/* user@host:/data/dest sending incremental file list source/file1.txt source/file2.txt I then verify those files are copied over... then the next time it runs it does the same thing rsync -av /data/source/* user@host:/data/dest sending incremental file list source/file1.txt source/file2.txt any idea why it's getting stuck on these files? I've tried to wipe the whole dest directory out and start over but no luck. thanks,
