  • Creating Pages with unique PageMaps

    I have a wicket Application that has long lived Pages. I would like each instance of this Page to be created with a unique PageMap for reasons I won't get into here, but when I try to specify a PageMap on the constructor of my Page I end up getting OOM and StackOverflow errors. Here is the code: public <CTOR>() { super(Session.get().newPageMap("" + System.currentTimeMillis())); ... I'm using a custom BookmarkablePageLink (custom in that it does not pass on the current PageMap name to the new Page) to effectively abandon the old Page/PageMap and create a new one with a new PageMap. The errors seem to be coming from page serialization after only two or three pages have been created. Can anyone find issue with this approach?

My end goal is to publish events from a third-party Web site (new content, announcements, etc.) into the FB page that promotes the third-party site. I'm not sure where to start exactly. Been looking at the .NET Facebook SDK, and it seems focused on FB apps and authentication. Not sure where I should be looking. Help is appreciated!

    Is there any particular way in which we can access the Web SQL Database of one page, by other page. To make it more clear, suppose a.com creates the database DB and store some info. Now b.com comes and want to access the same database DB. Is there a way? Or are there any alternatives to do this? I tried to implement in HTML5 and Javascript but the databases as well as the localStorages are confining only to particular pages, I want this to be cross the pages.

    Hello, I have a site with menu, which reloads content. Content is dynamically loadable, using ajax and php-script. At different content pages I need in different jquery-plugins. But If I'm writing including need plugin directly in some content page, I get a big lags during loading. So, now I'm includgin all plugins into main page... And it's not the best idea... Any suggestion? UPD: I have a div with content. Content is shown with effects (rolling up/down). When part of menu is clicked, I'm sending ajax-responce to the php script, which reads need text from database and returns it to the main page, from which I sent the responce. Than I'm pasting that content into a div and roll id down. So I'll include jquery-plugins in content pages, the animation of rolling will'nt be normal.

    I have a site that is made up of php pages, but they are served to the user through includes based on what I think they need. if they can guess the name of a php file, they can access those pages. while this is not a security risk at all, i would rather have a way to catch this and redirect them to somewhere else. i really want everything to go through the index page unless it is a file that exists (exeption being for any file ending with .php).   • magento .htaccess password protect inner pages (not homepage)

    I would like to use .htaccess to password protect all inner pages of Magento, except the home page. e.g. http://www.example.com/abc (password protect) http://www.example.com (home page, no need to password protect) I tried to use the setifenv request_uri = "/" => allow, but didn't work. It still password protect all pages including the homepage. I also tried a few ways inside the Magento admin URL rewrite, but those won't work either. Any expert can help? thx E

    I've worked with J2EE recently and like the idea of struts.xml where I can handle the redirection to pages based on return string from action classes. In PHP, in my new under-development site, I am trying to follow the MVC standards without an MVC framework used from the internet. So I create the controllers, models and views (empty now). The only thing I am really stuck at is when I submit the form in view (insert_product.php) then I will need to create another php page to handle the post data and pass them to controllers. Anyway of avoiding creating those pages and maybe having something like struts.xml? Even if I can post data directly to controller class, that would be good. Thanks,

  • Why is my Internet connection randomly dropping?

    Ever since I have installed 12.04 (clean install not an upgrade), i have been having a drop in the Internet connection. The drop in the connection can be anything from 15 seconds to about 3 mins, and then the connection comes back. This behaviour happens while I am actively browsing the Internet, or if I wake up the computer and open Firefox (sometimes I have connection and sometimes I don't) . Please note that when the internet connection is on, it is not slow (as speedtest.net results show) In the beginning, I thought it was a problem with the driver r8169 for my RTL8111/8168B Ethernet card, so I downloaded the r8168 from Realtek website, followed the detailed instructions (blacklisted r8169, changed the file to '.bsh' ...), but still the same problem persisted. So I switched to a wireless connection, and I got the same problem with internet connection dropping randomly. Any ideas?   • WPA2 authentication fails on Ubuntu 12.04 using Rosewill RNX-N1

    Decided to reduce the clutter in the house and replace a wired connection with a wireless one on my wife's system using USB network device Rosewill RNX-X1. I can see and connect to unprotected network, but WPA2 authentication repeatedly fails. RNX-X1 works on other systems (including TV); also have 2 of 'em and tried each. Worth noting that I recently switched from Comcast to CenturyLink and so switched routers. The system connected successfully to previous router (Linksys EA4500) using WPA2. Would think it is the router (Actiontec C1000A) but all other devices (TV, iPad, Windows, Blackberry, and Squeezebox) connect ok. Would appreciate some diagnostic guidance and insight (phrased for a newbie!)   • WPA2 authentication fails using USB network devices (Linksys and Rosewill)

    Decided to reduce the clutter in the house and replace a wired connection with a wireless one on my wife's system using USB network device Rosewill RNX-X1. I can see and connect to unprotected network, but WPA2 authentication repeatedly fails. Tried the same with a Linksys USB network adapter. Both failed to authenticate. Worth noting that I recently switched from Comcast to CenturyLink and so switched routers. The system connected successfully to previous router (Linksys EA4500) using WPA2. Would think it is the router (Actiontec C1000A) but all other devices (TV, iPad, Windows, Blackberry, and Squeezebox) connect ok. Would appreciate some diagnostic guidance and insight (phrased for a newbie!)     I wish to setup a room-based multilayer game model where players may host matches and serve as host (IE the server with authoritative power). I wish to host a master server which tracks player's items, rank, cash, exp, etc. In such a model, how can I prevent someone that is hosting a game (with a modified server) from spoofing the master server with invalid match results, thus gaining exp, money or rankings.   • Trying to turn an WD Mybook 1TB to slave drive in PC

    Yes I realise that most external Hard Drives would not be transitioned into internal sitting Hard Drives, but unfortunately we broke the miniUSB connection that transfers the data from external Hard Drive to laptop. What we are TRYING to do now, is get the WD MyBook 1TB to funtion alongside (preferably as SLAVE) to my currently exsisting Desktop Hard Drive. both are SATA drives. We have the SATA power, and Data cables, and these are in place (but - somehow NOT working) - Help please - I am not computer illeterate, just don't know how to switch this so it works. How do I turn one into master, and the newer one (that was external) into the slave drive?

    I have been advise by Commvault partner support to turn off the backup of the master database as the backup failed due to the log file being lock. The following is the advise given: "The message is caused by Commvault’s inability to backup the master database’s transaction log. If this is happening intermittently its possible that something is locking the transaction log, preventing SQL iData agent from accessing the log. And when I use browse function in IIS manager to browse the html file, I met with the following error, any ideas what is wrong? BTW: I am very confused about unauthorized error since I run the worker process under administrator account.     Is there an extension or add-on like Stylish which lets you easily toggle back and forth between affected (Stylish) and standard (or untainted) view? I've tried changing colors in Firefox (Settings Content Colors) but there is no quick toggle between the states. Firefox or Google Chrome, whichever one has the extension. Doesn't matter since I'll switch to using that as my primary development browser.

  • Certain banking pages not loading

    For some unknown reason, I am suddenly unable to access my accounts at several banking and credit sites. I have been a registered user at each site for several years and know I am using the correct user ID and password. Yet, after entering the data, answering security questions, and clicking the submit button, I land on a page with an error message saying their is a technical problem preventing me from accessing my account. On one site, I end up at the sign in page repeatedly. I am never told that my ID/password are incorrect. I believe may be firewall related. Windows firewall was damaged after a recent malware attack. I am now using a third party firewall (Fort Knox). I am not seeing a pop-up indicating sites are blocked or asking me to indicate yes or no. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium. I get the same result regardless of the browser. I switched to Maxthon last night and am getting the same result. This is not happening at other sites. And I am able to access some banking sites normally. This is frustrating because I need to make payments and have gone paperless. Any feedback will be appreciated. ---- Joe ----

    I have a production web server that makes sites to be very slow when load for first time. After the first time all connections are normal and fast. In the following screen you can see the first test I have run for a random site in my server: and here you can see the result of the second time request: As you can see there is a big change in the second load of the same page. Here is the page load time graph: My problem is that I don't really know anything about Red Had Linux server, and also I don't know where can I start. Can somebody to help me ? I like to find out the solution for the long time "wait" in connection. I know that my question is very minimal, but you can always ask me to give you information about the server.

I have about 11,000 products in the database each with about 3 images attached to them, the database is about 108mbs in size. Any suggestions on fixing this speed issue? Thank you in advance!

  • Browsers hang when loading web pages

    HP Laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium, Service Pack 2. Problem affects IE8 and Firefox. When attempting to browse most web sites, browser loads web site title in browser's title bar, then displays "Waiting for site url" and never completes loading the page. Able to connect to www.google.com with no problems. Unable to connect to www.carbonwy.com, www.wsj.com, www.cnn.com, www.microsoft.com, etc. Other PCs on same subnet are all able to connect to these sites without any problem. nslookup resolves all of these sites without any problem, so DNS does not appear to be the problem. Windows Firewall is disabled. Norton 360 was previously installed but has been uninstalled. No other firewall software is installed. IE8 Protected Mode is off. IE8 advanced settings have been reset. IE8 user settings have been reset. After reset, IE8 tries to connect to http://hp-laptop.aol.com and go.microsoft.com but same symptoms persist. Title bar loads, then nothing. System has been restarted numerous times. Running out of ideas. Please help!
