  • JSP compilation error upon changing XML parser to Xerces

    - by elduff
    All, I'm working on a java webapp that we deploy in the Resin web app server. I have been doing some XML parsing for a new part of the application, and realized that our app was using Resin classes to do the parsing. I wanted to get away from that and use something more standard for a number of reasons, so I set these system properties in my resin config file (and added the xerces jar to my classpath): <system-property javax.xml.parsers.DocumentBuilderFactory="org.apache.xerces.jaxp.DocumentBuilderFactoryImpl"/> <system-property javax.xml.parsers.SAXParserFactory="org.apache.xerces.jaxp.SAXParserFactoryImpl"/> And, now I'm getting JSP compilation errors on several pages (I guess Resin's built in parser was more lenient). The error reads: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: The value of attribute "title" associated with an element type "display:column" must not contain the '<' character. And, the 'display:column' tag on some pages does indeed contain markup in the 'title' attribute. Here's an example: <display:column scope='col' class=" appealColorBG selectAllWidth" title="<span class='centerThis'><label for='selectAll'>Select All</label><br /> <input type='checkbox' name='selectAll' id='selectAll' onClick='selectAllCheckboxes();'/></span> " > That's some ugly JSP code, I know, but it's also code that's already in production, so I'm hesitant to change it. Does anyone know of a way that I can set xerces so that it will allow the JSP to compile as is?

  • How do I use XML prefixes in C#?

    - by Andrew Mock
    EDIT: I have now published my app: http://pastebin.com/PYAxaTHU I was trying to make console-based application that returns my temperature. using System; using System.Xml; namespace GetTemp { class Program { static void Main(string[] args) { XmlDocument doc = new XmlDocument(); doc.LoadXml(downloadWebPage( "http://www.andrewmock.com/uploads/example.xml" )); XmlNamespaceManager man = new XmlNamespaceManager(doc.NameTable); man.AddNamespace("aws", "www.aws.com/aws"); XmlNode weather = doc.SelectSingleNode("aws:weather", man); Console.WriteLine(weather.InnerText); Console.ReadKey(false); } } } Here is the sample XML: <aws:weather xmlns:aws="http://www.aws.com/aws"> <aws:api version="2.0"/> <aws:WebURL>http://weather.weatherbug.com/WA/Kenmore-weather.html?ZCode=Z5546&Units=0&stat=BOTHL</aws:WebURL> <aws:InputLocationURL>http://weather.weatherbug.com/WA/Kenmore-weather.html?ZCode=Z5546&Units=0</aws:InputLocationURL> <aws:station requestedID="BOTHL" id="BOTHL" name="Moorlands ES" city="Kenmore" state=" WA" zipcode="98028" country="USA" latitude="47.7383346557617" longitude="-122.230278015137"/> <aws:current-condition icon="http://deskwx.weatherbug.com/images/Forecast/icons/cond024.gif">Mostly Cloudy</aws:current-condition> <aws:temp units="&deg;F">40.2</aws:temp> <aws:rain-today units=""">0</aws:rain-today> <aws:wind-speed units="mph">0</aws:wind-speed> <aws:wind-direction>WNW</aws:wind-direction> <aws:gust-speed units="mph">5</aws:gust-speed> <aws:gust-direction>NW</aws:gust-direction> </aws:weather> I'm just not sure how to use XML prefixes correctly here. What is wrong with this?

  • XML Catalog file failing to resolve

    - by newt
    I'm using an OASIS v 1.1 compatible resolver (Norm Walsh's XMLResolver in conjunction with the catalog below. However, I'm pretty sure I've made some sort of obvious error here (this is the first time I've needed to use v 1.1 features) since attempting to resolve OxChapML.dtd fails. Can anyone see something obviously wrong with this? Or even subtly wrong? <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE catalog PUBLIC "-//OASIS//DTD XML Catalogs V1.1//EN" "http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/entity/release/1.1/catalog.dtd"> <catalog xmlns="urn:oasis:names:tc:entity:xmlns:xml:catalog"> <group xml:base="file:///Volumes/Ac-EDP/DTG/SP%20DTD%20management/OUP_DTD/"> <public publicId="-//OXFORD//DTD OXCHAPML//EN" uri="OxChapML.dtd"/> <public publicId="-//OXFORD//DTD OXENCYCLML//EN" uri="xEncyclML.dtd"/> <public publicId="-//OXFORD//DTD OXLAWML//EN" uri="OxLawML.dtd"/> <public publicId="-//OXFORD//DTD OXSTRUCTML//EN" uri="OxStructML.dtd"/> <public publicId="-//OXFORD//DTD OXLAWREPML//EN" uri="OxLawRepML.dtd"/> <public publicId="-//OXFORD//DTD OXBILINGML//EN" uri="OxBilingML.dtd"/> <public publicId="-//OXFORD//DTD OXMONOLINGML//EN" uri="OxMonolingML.dtd"/> <public publicId="-//OXFORD//DTD TIMELINES//EN" uri="timelines.dtd"/> <systemSuffix OxChapML.dtd" systemIdSuffix="OxChapML.dtd"/> <systemSuffix uri="xEncyclML.dtd" systemIdSuffix="xEncyclML.dtd"/> <systemSuffix systemIdSuffix="OxLawML.dtd" uri="OxLawML.dtd"/> <systemSuffix systemIdSuffix="OxStructML.dtd" uri="OxStructML.dtd"/> <systemSuffix systemIdSuffix="OxLawRepML.dtd" uri="OxLawRepML.dtd"/> <systemSuffix systemIdSuffix="OxBilingML.dtd" uri="OxBilingML.dtd"/> <systemSuffix systemIdSuffix="OxMonolingML.dtd" uri="OxMonolingML.dtd"/> <systemSuffix systemIdSuffix="timelines.dtd" uri="timelines.dtd"/> </group> </catalog>

  • MSMQ first Message.Body in queue is OK, all following Message.Body in queue are empty

    - by Andrew A
    I send a handful of identical (except for Id#, obviously) messages to an MSMQ queue on my local machine. The body of the messages is a serialized XElement object. When I try to process the first message in the queue, I am able to successfully de-serialize the Message.Body object and save it to file. However, when trying to process the next (or any subsequent) message, the Message.Body is absent, and an exception is thrown. I have verified the Message ID's are correct for the message attempting to be processed. The XML being serialized is properly formed. Any ideas? I am basing my code on the Microsoft MSMQ Book order sample found here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms180970%28VS.80%29.aspx // Create Envelope XML object XElement envelope = new XElement(env + "Envelope", new XAttribute(XNamespace.Xmlns + "env", env.NamespaceName) <snip> //Send envelope as message body MessageQueue myQueue = new MessageQueue(String.Format(@"FORMATNAME:DIRECT=OS:localhost\private$\mqsample")); myQueue.DefaultPropertiesToSend.Recoverable = true; // Prepare message Message myMessage = new Message(); myMessage.ResponseQueue = new MessageQueue(String.Format(System.Globalization.CultureInfo.InvariantCulture, @"FORMATNAME:DIRECT=TCP:192.168.1.217\private$\mqdemoAck")); myMessage.Body = envelope; // Send the message into the queue. myQueue.Send(myMessage,"message label"); //Retrieve messages from queue LabelIdMapping labelID = (LabelIdMapping)mqlistBox3.SelectedItem; System.Messaging.Message message = mqOrderQueue.ReceiveById(labelID.Id); The Message.Body value I see on the 1st retrieve is as expected: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <string>Some String</string> However, the 2nd and subsequent retrieve operations Message.Body is: "Cannot deserialize the message passed as an argument. Cannot recognize the serialization format." How does this work fine the first time but not after that? I have tried message.Dispose() after retrieving it but it did not help. Thank you very much for any help on this!

  • Validation using JAXB and Stax to marshal XML document

    - by bajafresh4life
    I have created an XML schema (foo.xsd) and used xjc to create my binding classes for JAXB. Let's say the root element is "collection" and I am writing N "document" objects, which are complex types. Because I plan to write out large XML files, I am using Stax to write out the "collection" root element, and JAXB to marshal document subtrees using Marshaller.marshal(JAXBElement, XMLEventWriter). This is the approach recommended by jaxb's unofficial user's guide: https://jaxb.dev.java.net/guide/Different_ways_of_marshalling.html#Marshalling_into_a_subtree My question is, how can I validate the XML while it's being marshalled? If I bind a schema to the JAXB marshaller (using Marshaller.setSchema()), I get validation errors because I am only marshalling a subtree (it's complaining that it's not seeing the "collection" root element"). I suppose what I really want to do is bind a schema to the Stax XMLEventWriter or something like that. Any comments on this overall approach would be helpful. Basically I want to be able to use JAXB to marshal and unmarshal large XML documents without running out of memory, so if there's a better way to do this let me know.

  • Hello, TabWidget each tab refer to new xml

    - by Clozecall
    Hey everyone I'm using Google's exmaple of Hello, TabWidget but altered it to look like this: main.xml: <LinearLayout android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent"> <TabWidget android:id="@android:id/tabs" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" /> <FrameLayout android:id="@android:id/tabcontent" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent"> <TextView android:text="@+layout/text" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/textview2" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:text="this is another tab" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/textview3" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:text="this is a third tab" /> </FrameLayout> </LinearLayout> java file: public class HelloTabWidget extends TabActivity { public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.main); TabHost mTabHost = getTabHost(); mTabHost.addTab(mTabHost.newTabSpec("tab_test1").setIndicator("TAB 1").setContent(R.layout.text)); mTabHost.addTab(mTabHost.newTabSpec("tab_test2").setIndicator("TAB 2").setContent(R.id.textview2)); mTabHost.addTab(mTabHost.newTabSpec("tab_test3").setIndicator("TAB 3").setContent(R.id.textview3)); mTabHost.setCurrentTab(0); } } and here is the text.xml in res/layout: <LinearLayout android:id="@+id/LinearLayout01" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" > <TextView android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:text="This is Tab 1" /> What I'm basically trying to do is have each tab refer to its own xml file rather than all in main.xml, but the text in the first tab doesn't show up.

  • Internationalized strings in Eclipse plugin.xml file are not found when installed in Eclipse applica

    - by Ed
    Hi, I have created 2 plugins, implementing an ODA driver plugin and its UI plugin for the BIRT extension to Eclipse. My plugins both work as expected when eclipse starts up another eclipse application where I can then test the plugins I am developing. However, when I install my plugins into an Eclipse application and then start it from a Windows shortcut, the plugins work but and language keys specified in the plugin.xml files are not found. For example, in my plugin.xml file for the ODA Driver plugin I set the attributes 'id' to '%oda.data.source.id' and the data source 'defaultDisplayName' to '%data.source.name'. I then, in a file 'language.properties', have defined the values for both of these keys (where the keys don't have the preceeding % character). When running the plugins that have been installed into the dropins/plugins directory of an Eclipse application, the wizard for creating my ODA data source names is as '%data.source.name' and saves the data source in the rptdesign (XML) file with an ID of '%oda.data.source.id'. Since 'language' is not the default name for the properties file I went into the manifest for both plugins and changed the 'Bundle-Localization' attribute to 'language'. The language file is located in the root directory of both of my plugins. The properties file is definitely found, since I use the two language files to store other strings used by the plugins, looked up using a java ResourceBundle. The strings are always found whether the plugins are run from Eclipse application loading another, or when properly installed in the dropins/plugins directory of an Eclipse application. Why are the installed plugins not finding language keys reference in the plugin.xml files? There are not errors in the logs and the language.properties files are clearly accessible... Thanks in advance.

  • which xml validator will work perfectly for multithreading project

    - by Sunil Kumar Sahoo
    Hi All, I have used jdom for xml validation against schema. The main problem there is that it gives an error FWK005 parse may not be called while parsing The main reason was that multiple of threads working for xerces validation at the same time. SO I got the solution that i have to lock that validation. which is not good So I want to know which xml validator works perfectly for multithreading project public static HashMap validate(String xmlString, Validator validator) { HashMap<String, String> map = new HashMap<String, String>(); long t1 = System.currentTimeMillis(); DocumentBuilder builder = null; try { //obtain lock to proceed // lock.lock(); try { builder = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance().newDocumentBuilder(); // Source source = new DOMSource(builder.parse(new ByteArrayInputStream(xmlString.getBytes()))); validator.validate(new StreamSource(new StringReader(xmlString))); map.put("ISVALID", "TRUE"); logger.info("We have successfuly validated the schema"); } catch (Exception ioe) { ioe.printStackTrace(); logger.error("NOT2 VALID STRING IS :" + xmlString); map.put("MSG", ioe.getMessage()); // logger.error("IOException while validating the input XML", ioe); } logger.info(map); long t2 = System.currentTimeMillis(); logger.info("XML VALIDATION TOOK:::" + (t2 - t1)); } catch (Exception e) { logger.error(e); } finally { //release lock // lock.unlock(); builder = null; } return map; } Thanks Sunil Kumar Sahoo

  • How to escape the character entities in XML?

    - by Chetan Vaity
    I want to pass XML as a string in an XML attribute. <activity evt="&lt;FHS&gt; &lt;act&gt; &lt;polyline penWidth=&quot;2&quot; points=&quot;256,435 257,432 &quot;/&gt; &lt;/act&gt; &lt;/FHS&gt; /> Here the "evt" attribute is the XML string, so escaping all the less-than, greater-than, etc characters by the appropriate character entities works fine. The problem is I want a fragment to be interpreted as is - the character entities themselves should be treated as simple strings. When the "evt" attribute is read and an XML is generated from it, it should look like <FHS> <act> &lt;polyline penWidth=&quot;2&quot; points=&quot;256,435 257,432 &quot;/&gt; </act> </FHS> Essentially, I want to escape the character entities. How is this possible?

  • Calling a Stored Procedure using C# with XML Datatype

    - by Lakeshore
    I am simply trying to call a store procedure (SQL Server 2008) using C# and passing XMLDocument to a store procedure parameter that takes a SqlDbType.Xml data type. I am getting error: Failed to convert parameter value from a XmlDocument to a String. Below is code sample. How do you pass an XML Document to a store procedure that is expecting an XML datatype? Thanks. XmlDocument doc = new XmlDocument(); //Load the the document with the last book node. XmlTextReader reader = new XmlTextReader(@"C:\temp\" + uploadFileName); reader.Read(); // load reader doc.Load(reader); connection.Open(); SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand("UploadXMLDoc", connection); cmd.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure; cmd.Parameters.Add("@Year", SqlDbType.Int); cmd.Parameters["@Year"].Value = iYear; cmd.Parameters.Add("@Quarter", SqlDbType.Int); cmd.Parameters["@Quarter"].Value = iQuarter; cmd.Parameters.Add("@CompanyID", SqlDbType.Int); cmd.Parameters["@CompanyID"].Value = iOrganizationID; cmd.Parameters.Add("@FileType", SqlDbType.VarChar); cmd.Parameters["@FileType"].Value = "Replace"; cmd.Parameters.Add("@FileContent", SqlDbType.Xml); cmd.Parameters["@FileContent"].Value = doc; cmd.Parameters.Add("@FileName", SqlDbType.VarChar); cmd.Parameters["@FileName"].Value = uploadFileName; cmd.Parameters.Add("@Description", SqlDbType.VarChar); cmd.Parameters["@Description"].Value = lblDocDesc.Text; cmd.Parameters.Add("@Success", SqlDbType.Bit); cmd.Parameters["@Success"].Value = false; cmd.Parameters.Add("@AddBy", SqlDbType.VarChar); cmd.Parameters["@AddBy"].Value = Page.User.Identity.Name; cmd.ExecuteNonQuery(); connection.Close();

  • Prefuse: Reloading of XML files

    - by John
    Hello all, I am a new to the prefuse visualization toolkit and have a couple of general questions. For my purpose, I would like to perform an initial visualization using prefuse (graphview / graphml). Once rendered, upon a user click of a node, I would like to completely reload a new xml file for a new visualization. I want to do this in order to allow me to "pre-package" graphs for display. For example. If I search for Ted. I would like to have an xml file relating to Ted load and render a display. Now in the display I see that Ted has nodes associated called Bill and Joe. When I click Joe, I would like to clear the display and load an xml file associated with Joe. And so on. I have looked into loading one very large xml file containing all node and node relationship info and allowing prefuse to handle this using the hops from one level to another. However, eventually I am sure that system performance issues will arise due to the size of data. Thanks in advance for any help, John

  • Is using a StringBuilder for writing XML ok?

    - by Jack Lawson
    It feels dirty. But maybe it isn't... is it ok to use a StringBuilder for writing XML? My gut instinct says "although this feels wrong, it's probably pretty darn performant because it's not loading extra libraries and overhead." Here's what it looks like. I'm building an OpenSearch XML doc based on the domain you come in from. public void ProcessRequest(HttpContext context) { context.Response.ContentType = "text/xml"; string domain = WebUtils.ReturnParsedSourceUrl(null); //returns something like www.sample.com string cachedChan = context.Cache[domain + "_opensearchdescription"] as String; if (cachedChan == null) { StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder(); sb.Append("<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\"?>"); sb.Append("<OpenSearchDescription xmlns=\"http://a9.com/-/spec/opensearch/1.1/\" xmlns:moz=\"http://www.mozilla.org/2006/browser/search/\">"); sb.Append(" <ShortName>Search</ShortName>"); sb.Append(" <Description>Use " + domain + " to search.</Description>"); sb.Append(" <Contact>[email protected]</Contact>"); sb.Append(" <Url type=\"text/html\" method=\"get\" template=\"http://" + domain + "/Search.aspx?q={searchTerms}\" />"); sb.Append(" <moz:SearchForm>http://" + domain + "/Search.aspx</moz:SearchForm>"); sb.Append(" <Image height=\"16\" width=\"16\" type=\"image/x-icon\">http://" + domain + "/favicon.ico</Image>"); sb.Append("</OpenSearchDescription>"); cachedChan = sb.ToString(); context.Cache.Insert(domain + "_opensearchdescription", cachedChan, null, DateTime.Now.AddDays(14), TimeSpan.Zero); } context.Response.Write(cachedChan); }

  • Bitrate Switching in xml playlist not loading video

    - by James Williams
    Using JW Player ver 5.4 and JW Embedder. Plugins are grid by Dabbler and fbit (Facebook). The Bitrate switching is not working. Does work fine for one video with HTML5 Video tag. When more than one video, it only shows the first video pic. Works fine with no bitrate switching. Code - HTML5 <script type="text/javascript" src="jwplayer/jwplayer.js"></script> <video id="container"></div> <script type="text/javascript"> jwplayer("container").setup({ flashplayer: "jwplayer/player.swf", streamer: "rtmp://server/location/", playlistfile: "playlists/playlist.xml", plugins: { grid: { rows: 4, distance: 60, horizontalmargin: 75, verticalmargin: 75 }, fbit: { link: "http://www.domain.com" } }, height: 375, width: 850, dock: true }); </script> XML - ATOM/MEDIA xmlns:jwplayer='http://developer.longtailvideo.com/trac/wiki/FlashFormats' Demostration Playlist Video 1 rtmp rtmp://server/location/ Video 2 rtmp rtmp://server/location/ have tried it with both video and div tags for the container. Div tag just shows a blank video area and a Null exception on Line 1 char 1863, this is probably the jwplayer.js file. XML is larger than this, this is to give you a brief syntax of my code and xml. I have searched for over 6 hrs on both longtail and search engine searches. Thank you in advance.

  • Linq to XML Document Traversal

    - by Perpetualcoder
    I have an xml document like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <demographics> <country id="1" value="USA"> <state id ="1" value="California"> <city>Long Beach</city> <city>Los Angeles</city> <city>San Diego</city> </state> <state id ="2" value="Arizona"> <city>Tucson</city> <city>Phoenix</city> <city>Tempe</city> </state> </country> <country id="2" value="Mexico"> <state id ="1" value="Baja California"> <city>Tijuana</city> <city>Rosarito</city> </state> </country> </demographics> How do I setup LINQ queries for doing things like: 1. Get All Countries 2. Get All States in a Country 3. Get All Cities inside a state of a paricular country ? I gave it a try and I am kind of confused when to use Elements["NodeName"] and Descendants etc. I know I am not the brightest XML guy around. Is the format of the XML file even correct for simple traversal?

  • Gravatar XML-RPC request problem in Objective-C

    - by Erik
    Hi all, I'm trying to incorporate some Gravatar functionality using its XML-RPC API in an iPhone app I'm writing. I grabbed the Cocoa XML-RPC Framework by Eric Czarny (http://github.com/eczarny/xmlrpc) and it works well when I tested it with some of the Wordpress methods. However, when I try to use the Gravatar API, I always receive a response of "Error code: -9 Authentication error". I think I'm constructing the request correctly, but I've been wracking my brain and can't seem to figure it out. Maybe someone has some experience with this API or can see what I'm doing wrong. Here's the call: <?xml version="1.0"> <methodCall> <methodName>grav.addresses</methodName> <params> <param><value><string>PASSWORD_HERE</string></value></param> </params> </methodCall> Again, the Cocoa XML-RPC Framework worked like a dream with Wordpress, but it's choking on the Gravatar API for some reason. Thanks for your help.

  • Sorting an XML in Java

    - by Java Guy
    Hello I have an XML similiar to below, which needed to be sorted using the date field. <root> <Node1><date></date></Node1> <Node1><date></date></Node1> <Node1> <date></date></Node1> <Node1> <date></date></Node1> <Node2> <date></date></Node2> <Node2> <date></date></Node2> <Node2> <date></date></Node2> <Node2> <date></date> </Node2> </root> I would like to sort the XML based on the date(say asc order), irrespective of whether the date is under Node1 or Node2. Actually in Java code I have two seperate lists, one with Node1 objects and other with Node2 obects. I can sort the list in any order sperately inside java. But I need to have the dates sorted irrespective of the nodes it is apperaing on the XML. What is the best approach to sort this way in Java? Actaully I am using Castor for marshalling the java objects to XML. If you know this can be done with Castor, that will be great!

  • Writing XML in different character encodings with Java

    - by Roman Myers
    I am attempting to write an XML library file that can be read again into my program. The file writer code is as follows: XMLBuilder builder = new XMLBuilder(); Document doc = builder.build(bookList); DOMImplementation impl = doc.getImplementation(); DOMImplementationLS implLS = (DOMImplementationLS) impl.getFeature("LS", "3.0"); LSSerializer ser = implLS.createLSSerializer(); String out = ser.writeToString(doc); //System.out.println(out); try{ FileWriter fstream = new FileWriter(location); BufferedWriter outwrite = new BufferedWriter(fstream); outwrite.write(out); outwrite.close(); }catch (Exception e){ } The above code does write an xml document. However, in the XML header, it is an attribute that the file is encoded in UTF-16. when i read in the file, i get the error: "content not allowed in prolog" this error does not occur when the encoding attribute is manually changed to UTF-8. I am trying to get the above code to write an XML document encoded in UTF-8, or successfully parse a UTF-16 file. the code for parsing in is DocumentBuilderFactory factory = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance(); DocumentBuilder loader = factory.newDocumentBuilder(); Document document = loader.parse(filename); the last line returns the error.

  • possible xml elements in Android resources xmls ?

    - by Vijay C
    I recently came across a forum post in thelink text android developers group. (link below) It has one post which contains following xml. It is xml file which can be used in drawable folder. <selector xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"> <!-- Non focused states --> <item android:state_focused="false" android:state_selected="false" android:state_pressed="false" android:drawable="@drawable/tab_unselected" /> <item android:state_focused="false" android:state_selected="true" android:state_pressed="false" android:drawable="@drawable/tab_selected" /> <!-- Focused states --> <item android:state_focused="true" android:state_selected="false" android:state_pressed="false" android:drawable="@drawable/tab_focus" /> <item android:state_focused="true" android:state_selected="true" android:state_pressed="false" android:drawable="@drawable/tab_focus"/> <!-- Pressed --> <item android:state_pressed="true" android:drawable="@drawable/tab_press" /> </selector> Now my question is, where is the documentation which tells me that i can use the following xml tags <selector> , <item>, <color>, <integer-array>, <string-array> and many others tag to create xml resources...? I hope, i have explained what i want to know ?

  • Reading and writing XML over an SslStream

    - by Mark
    I want to read and write XML data over an SslStream. The data (written and read) consists of objects serialized by an XmlSerializer. I have tried the following; (left some details out for clarity!) TcpClient tcpClient = new TcpClient(server, port); SslStream sslStream = new SslStream(tcpClient.GetStream(), true, new RemoteCertificateValidationCallback(ValidateServerCertificate), null); sslStream.AuthenticateAsClient(server); XmlReader xmlReader = XmlReader.Create(sslStream,readerSettings); XmlWriter xmlWriter = XmlWriter.Create(sslStream,writerSettings); myClass c = new myClass (); XmlSerializer serializer = new XmlSerializer(typeof(myClass)); serializer.Serialize(xmlWriter, c); myClass c2 = (myClass )serializer.Deserialize(xmlReader); First of all, it appears that writing to the stream succeeds. But the XmlSerializer throws an error because of invalid XML. It appears that the first character read from the stream is '00' or a null-character. (I have googled this problem, and see a million people with the same 'problem', but no viable solution.) I can work around this 'issue' by using a StreamReader, read everything into a string and then use that string as input for another stream that the serializer can use. (Very dirty, but it works.) Second problem is, that when I try to use the same SslStream to write a second request, I do not get a response from the Reader. (The server DOES send a valid XML response though!) So the serializer.Serialize(xmlWriter, c3) works, but reading from the stream yields no results. I have tried several different classes that implement Stream. (StreamReader, XmlTextReader, etc.) Anyone has an idea how reading and writing XML data to and from an SslStream is supposed to work? Thanks in advance!

  • Using Flexigrid with an xml formatted source how do you specify how the xml is formatted?

    - by stormist
    I have my columns set as follows: colModel : [ {display: 'column1', name : 'column1', width : 200, sortable : true, align: 'center'}, {display: 'column2', name : 'column2', width : 100, sortable : true, align: 'left'}, {display: 'column3', name : 'column3', width : 100, sortable : true, align: 'left'}, {display: 'column4', name : 'column4', width : 300, sortable : true, align: 'left'}, ], I set my data source to a url that returns xml. The xml is like this: <?xml version="1.0"?> <items_list> <item> <column1>BlahBlah</column1> <column2>BlahBlah</column2> <column3>BlahBlah</column3> <column4>BlahBlah</column4> </item> <item> <column1>BlahBlah</column1> <column2>BlahBlah</column2> <column3>BlahBlah</column3> <column4>BlahBlah</column4> </item> </items_list> How can I bind the grid to the xml datasource, it doesn't appear to recognize it as it is?

  • populate FusionCharts with XML data AJAX

    - by Mick
    Hi I have a js file that uses ajax to get a XML doc from a php script . The XML file forms the data to draw a Fusion Chart. I know I am getting the XML data ok but FusionCharts will not draw it . I would really appreciate any help , thanks (FusionCharts.js is included earlier in my script) if(XMLHttpRequestObject) { XMLHttpRequestObject.open("GET", "chart.php?job="+job, true); XMLHttpRequestObject.onreadystatechange = function() { if (XMLHttpRequestObject.readyState == 4 && XMLHttpRequestObject.status == 200) { var xdoc = XMLHttpRequestObject.responseXML; var chart1 = new FusionCharts("Pie3D.swf", "chart1Id", "400", "300", "0", "1"); chart1.setDataXML(xdoc); chart1.render("chart1div"); chart.php produces this XML data <chart caption='ADI Chart Test ' > <set label='Driver' value='12.25' /> <set label='Other Staff' value='223.21' /> <set label='Equipment' value='0.00' /> <set label='Additional Items' value='0.00' /> <set label='Vehicle Fuel' value='0.00' /> <set label='Accomodation' value='0.00' /> <set label='Generator Fuel' value='0.00' /> </chart>

  • Having issue Deserializing array from an XML string

    - by LeeHull
    I'm having issues trying to deserializing my xml string that was from a dataset.. Here is the XML layout.. <DataSet> <User> <UserName>Test</UserName> <Email>[email protected]</Email> <Details> <ID>1</ID> <Name>TestDetails</Name> <Value>1</Value> </Details <Details> <ID>2</ID> <Name>Testing</Name> <Value>3</Value> </Details </User> </DataSet> Now I am able to deserialize the "UserName" and "Email" when doing public class User { public string UserName {get;set;} public string Email {get;set;} public Details[] Details {get;set;} } public class Details { public int ID {get;set;} public string Name {get;set;} public string Value {get;set;} } This deserializes fine when I just get the user node, the Details isnt null but has no items in it.. i know I am suppose to have between all the details but I rather not modify the XML, anyways to get this to deserialize properly without recreating the XML after I get it?
