    Is there way i can get the current network being used by iPhone programmatically in an iPhone app. To SImplify, suppose there are 3 networks visible in the wifi vicinity of the phone and i can see them in the settings page. I select one and is it possible for any app to find that out?

  • Overriding iPhone shutter sound through SDK

    In my iPhone app, I am using the UIImagePickerController with source type UIImagePickerControllerSourceTypeCamera. When the user takes a picture, the phone plays the familiar camera shutter sound. How can I replace this with my own custom sound? I know it's possible because I've seen other apps from the App Store do it (e.g. Red Laser). Thanks in advance!

  • Clickable TextView in Android

    i'm building an Android App that has many many TextView that i want to be clickable. I've tried to assign to the single TextView the properties android:clickable="true" and android:onClick="clickHandler" and when the app fires the clickHandler(View v) i correctly get, through the v.getId(), the clicked item. What i don't like is to define, for every TextView, the properties android:clickable and android:onClick ... is there something that i can do by code to say: "all the textviews are clickable and click is handled in 'clickHandler' ?"   • Silverlight 3 version compatibility

    We've noticed a compatibility issue with a Silverlight 3 app which runs fine with v3.0.40818, v3.0.50106 and v4.0.50401 but refuses to load in v3.0.40624. Instead it gives a message box saying a more recent version of Silverlight is required. Does anyone know what the changes were between 3.0.40624 and 3.0.40818 or why the app might not be compatible?

  • Getting error using ContactManager Sample

    I have created some contacts data in the emulator. When I run the ContactManager sample app downloaded from the Android site, I get an error. Specifically, when trying to add a Contact through the app, I get a NullPointerException. I think it is because the "Target Accounts" spinner on the scree is not getting populated, and hence I cannot select a Target Account before adding a contact. Has anyone run across this problem or has any clues on how to fix this?

    I have a main activity where I call VersionSettings vs = new VersionSettings(this); if (vs.firstRun2()) vs.versionCheckbox(); What I'm trying to do is set a checkbox (checkboxVideoType) to an unchecked state if the Android version is 1.6-2.1 I only want to do this the very first time the app is ever run, it never needs to run again. I think I'm running into the problem when the main activity calls versionCheckbox(), I get a force close if it attempts to run the code inside that is going to set the checkbox to false. I'm very new to programming and would really appreciate some help with this. I think I'm close, but need a push. Thanks in advance! For the same Apple has mentioned 3 ways, however I am using the method where a Single XCODE proj is used for having 2 targets- iphone & iPad. There are a few queries: two binaries will be created , which I can price differently for selling. Will they need 2 have different certificates from Apple ? My app has Push notifications. So will i require 2 different certificates ?

    Hi all, I have come code that reads the registry and looks for a value in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\App\ but when running on 64bit versions of Windows the value is under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\App. How should I best approach this? Do I need a 64bit installer or should I rewrite my code to detect both places? Thanks

    Hi to all All my app is in landscape mode .In some point I switch to a screen with Tab Bar Controller , but it's been placed like in portrait mode.I subclassed the UITabBarController and override the method "shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation" to return YES always but because the app is already in landscape , this method is not being called. does anyway have an answer to this? thanks Giald

    With the recent changes in the SDK agreement, I am kinda confused if I'm able to put any type of analytics into my app. I don't want to do anything nefarious, just want to see which functionality of my app is getting used the most. I was looking at Google Analytic's mobile sdk to track the different views, just like page views but I have a feeling it is not allowed anymore. Can someone clear up if Google Analytics are still allowed; if not, are any analytics allowed?

    When I play a video with MPMoviePlayerController in my app my iPhone does not auto lock (tested OS 3.0 & 3.1.2). However, the application.idleTimerDisabled = NO, so this setting is not affected by MPMoviePlayerController. How can I get my iPhone to sleep normally (e.g. after 3 min screen dims, then goes dark) when my app is running and playing a video?

  • Can't export release build / compile for Adobe Air 1.0

    I opened up an old project in Flex Builder 3 which runs on Adobe AIR 1.0. I believe it was originally written in Flex Builder 2. When I try to run the air app, nothing happens. When I try to export a release build, I get this error: If I change the main-app.xml file to use the 1.5 version of the namespace, it builds fine. Unfortunately, the clients environment runs on 1.0. Ideas?
