• "type" Command Not Working As Expected on Git Bash

  The type command, in Linux, returns the location, on the filesystem, of the given file, if it is in the current folder or the $PATH. This functionality is also available through Windows with the Git Bash command line program. The command also returns a file's location given the file without its extension (.exe, .vbs, etc.) However, I have run into what seems like a strange corner case where the file exists on the $PATH but doesn't get returned using the command. I am thinking of buying a new computer soon, so I looked up the method of transferring the license key from one computer to another, in preparation for actually doing this. The method I found mentioned the files slmgr.vbs and slui.exe, both of which reside in the C:/Windows\System32 folder, which is in my $PATH, as usual for a Windows computer. However, these two files aren't showing up when I use the type command. Also, neither gets executed when I call the files as commands without their extensions in Git Bash, and only slmgr.vbs gets executed when I call them with the extensions. Finally, slmgr.vbs is shown when listing the folder's contents in Git Bash, as well, but slui.exe isn't. I thought this might have to do with permissions, and, indeed, both files have very restrictive permissions, as you can see in the pictures below, but they both have the same permissions, which wouldn't explain why one gets executed and the other doesn't when called directly, nor why one file is listed on command line but the other isn't. The table are innodb and I tried to drop all tables and recreate it the problem remains... EDIT : Well I think I have a start of answer... I change the log level of hibernate to DEBUG and before it crash I have the following log insert into Semspace (name, [...]) values (?, [...]) So it looks like it does not try to insert the idCorpus and as it is not null it uses the default value "0" which does not refers to an existing entry in Corpus table...

A word search, as defined by Wikipedia, is: A word search, word find, word seek, word sleuth or mystery word puzzle is a word game that is letters of a word in a grid, that usually has a rectangular or square shape. The objective of this puzzle is to find and mark all the words hidden inside the box. The words may be horizontally, vertically or diagonally. Often a list of the hidden words is provided, but more challenging puzzles may let the player figure them out. Many word search puzzles have a theme to which all the hidden words are related. The word searches for this challenge will all be rectangular grids with a list of words to find provided. The words can be written vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. Input/Output The user inputs their word search and then inputs a word to be found in their grid. These two inputs are passed to the function that you will be writing. It is up to you how you want to declare and handle these objects.   Here's a link to my previous question on this same block of code with a working shred example Ok, I'm a C# ASP.NET dev following orders: The orders are to take a given dataset, shred the XML and return columns. I've argued that it's easier to do the shredding on the ASP.NET side where we already have access to things like deserializers, etc, and the entire complex of known types, but no, the boss says "shred it on the server, return a dataset, bind the dataset to the columns of the gridview" so for now, I'm doing what I was told. This is all to head off the folks who will come along and say "bad requirements".   I am trying to create a program that will do some simple calculations, but am having trouble with the program not doing the correct math, or placing the decimal correctly, or something. Some other people I asked cannot figure it out either. • Java Fx Data bind not working with File Read

  Hi I am using a very simple JavaFx client to upload files. I read the file in chunks of 1 MB (using Byte Buffer) and upload using multi part POST to a PHP script. I want to update the progress bar of my client to show progress after each chunk is uploaded. The calculations for upload progress look correct but the progress bar is not updated. I am using bind keyword. I am no JavaFx expert and I am hoping some one can point out my mistake. • Trying to scrape a page with php/curl, trouble with cookies, post vars, and hidden fields.

  Im trying to use CURL to scrape the results from the page http://adlab.msn.com/Online-Commercial-Intention/Default.aspx My understanding, is that i visit this page, it places cookie info and sets a few variables. I enter my query, select the query radio option, and click go. The problem, is that its not working the way that it does through the website as im trying to get it to using the code below. Ive tweaked several things, but im posting here in hopes someone can find what im missing. • PHP curl post to login to wordpress

  I followed http://stackoverflow.com/questions/724107 to login to wordpress, using php_curl, and it works fine as far I use WAMP, (apache/php). But when it comes to IIS on the dedicated server, it returns nothing. • Loading a PyML multiclass classifier... why isn't this working?

  This is a followup from "Save PyML.classifiers.multi.OneAgainstRest(SVM()) object?". I am using PyML for a computer vision project (pyimgattr), and have been having trouble storing/loading a multiclass classifier. When attempting to load one of the SVMs in a composite classifier, with loadSVM, I am getting: ValueError: invalid literal for float(): rest Note that this does not happen with the first classifier that I load, only with the second. What is causing this error, and what can I do to get around this so that I can properly load the classifier? Details To better understand the trouble I'm running into, you may want to look at pyimgattr.py (currently revision 11). I am invoking the program with "./pyimgattr.py train" which trains the classifier (invokes train on line 571, which trains the classifier with trainmulticlassclassifier on line 490 and saves it with storemulticlassclassifier on line 529), and then invoking the program with "./pyimgattr.py test" which loads the classifier in order to test it with the testing dataset (invokes test on line 628, which invokes loadmulticlassclassifier on line 549). The multiclass classifier consists of several one-against-rest SVMs which are saved individually. The loadmulticlassclassifier function loads these individually by calling loadSVM() on several different files. It is in this call to loadSVM (done indirectly in loadclassifier on line 517) that I get an error. The first of the one-against-rest classifiers loads successfully, but the second one does not. This is not quite a cross product here, and the order of the results are absolutely crucial. I can see similarities with Numeric bases (since the order is important as well), and I'm sure there are permutations/combinations lurking in here too. The question is - how to write an algorithm like this that'll cope with any number of sets of strings? Linq, non-Linq; I'm not fussed. Why am I doing this? Indeed, why!? In Asp.Net MVC - I want to have partial views that can be redefined for a given combination of back-end/front-end culture and language. The most basic of these would be, for a given base view View, we could have View-en-GB, View-en, View-GB, and View, in that order of precedence (recognising of course that the language/culture codes could be the same, so some combinations might be the same - a Distinct() will solve that). But I also have other views that, in themselves, have other possible combinations before culture is even taken into account (too long to go into - but the fact is, this algo will enable a whole bunch of really cool that I want to offer my developers!). I want to produce a search list of all the acceptable view names, iterate through the whole lot until the most specific match is found (governed by the order that this algo will produce these concatenations in) then serve up the resolved Partial View. The result of the search can later be cached to avoid the expense of running the algorithm all the time. I already have a really basic version of this working that just has one enumerable of strings. But this is a whole different kettle of seafood! Any help greatly appreciated.

• Javascript crc32 function and PHP crc32 not matching

  Hello everyone, I'm working on a webapp where I want to match some crc32 values that have been generated server side in PHP with some crc32 values that I am generating in Javascript. Both are using the same input string but returning different values. I found a crc32 javascript library on webtoolkit, found here: "http://www.webtoolkit.info/javascript-crc32.html" ... when I try and match a simple CRC32 value that I generate in PHP, for the life of me I can't generate the same matching value in the Javascript crc32 function. I tried adding a utf-8 language encoding meta tag to the top of my page with no luck. I've also tried adding a PHP utf8_encode() around the string before I enter it into the PHP crc32 function, but still no matching crc's .... Is this a character encoding issue? How do I get these two generated crc's to match? • Rails & combo box change event: Help make this obtrusive javascript unobtrusive

  Ok so a friend of mine gave some help with a prototype/obtrusive solution to this but its not quite there. Also, I want to make this unobtrusive instead of using the observe_field function that rails gives me. I don't want to use prototype either because I'm more familiar with JQuery. Here's my problem: I have an Event that can have multiple ServiceTypes and a ServiceType can belong to many Events. A many-to-many relationship between these two exists as an OfferedService. When creating an event, I have a drop down with a list of TimeAllotments that are something like 10 minutes, 12 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes etc. When the user selects one of these choices, I want a div tag to be filled with a list of ServiceTypes that are associated with this TimeAllotment. So for example, the user selects "10 minutes" and then the div repopulates with services that last 10 minutes. I have looked at Ryan's rails casts for using JQuery but its not helpful because he deals with ajax calls for the create action. This would be for the new or edit action. I have a new.js.erb but it doesn't get loaded when calling the new action. I'm super lost as far as getting JQuery to work with my application. I think that if someone can just show me how to make an alert pop up when I change the combo box, and how to return a dataset using ajax the right now, I think I can figure out the rest. • Silverlight: how to modify the width of ListBox Items in response to user input?

  I have a simple Silverlight 3 UserControl whose width increases or decreases based on user input. The controls become more wide or more narrow as desired, except for the ListBox items. The ListBox Items grow horizontally to fit their content regardless of HorizontalContentAlignment being set to 'Stretch'. Should I be able to set a property on ListBox.ItemContainerStyle to tell it to widen/narrow with the parent ListBox? There needs to be no horizontal scrolling within this Listbox. Or is there a way to specify the ItemTemplate's StackPanel width that can be modified at runtime? I have bound this to a StaticResource, but do not understand whether I should be able to change the resource value. Can I create and bind to a DependencyProperty of the UserControl itself?   I am trying to call iPhone zLib to decompress the zlib stream from our HTTP based server, but the code always stop after finishing the first zlib block. Obviously, iPhone SDK is using the standard open Zlib. My doubt is that the parameter for inflateInit2 is not appropriate here. I spent lots of time reading the zlib manual, but it isn't that helpful. Here is the details, your help is appreciated. I've downloaded and used Metro to generate Java proxy classes, but they aren't generating what I expect, and I believe this is because of the WSDL that the WCF service generates. Anyhow, when I run Metro's wsimport.bat on the service the following error message is generated: [WARNING] src-resolve.4.2: Error resolving component 'q1:guid' and the outputted Java version of TestResponse lacks any of the properties from ResponseMessage. I hacked the WSDL a bit and changed ErrorIdentifier to be typed as xsd:string, which makes the message about resolving the GUID type go away, but I still don't get any of ResponseMessage's properties. Finally, I altered the WSDL to include the 3 properties from ResponseMessage in TestResponse, and of course the end result is that the generated .java file contains them. However, when I actually call the WCF service from Java, those 3 properties are always null. Any advice, apart from writing the proxy classes myself?

To address this issue, I have encapsulated the invocation of MyApp.java in a shell script and then appended “/dev/null 2&1 &” to spawn a separate background process. Here is the snip (this is just a snip and not the actual one) from runTest.sh: java - DMY_APP_HOME =$2 com.foo.MyApp > /dev/null 2>&1 & Although this solves my issue, is there any other way to do it? Am I missing any argument for exec-maven-plugin?

• How do I solve an unresolved external when using C++ Builder packages?

  I'm experimenting with reconfiguring my application to make heaving use of packages. Both I and another developer running a similar experiment are running into a bit of trouble when linking using several different packages. We're probably both doing something wrong, but goodness knows what :) The situation is this: The first package, PackageA.bpl, contains C++ class FooA. The class is declared with the PACKAGE directive. The second package, PackageB.bpl, contains a class inheriting from FooA, called FooB. It includes FooB.h, and the package is built using runtime packages, and links to PackageA by adding a reference to PackageA.bpi. Changing this only changes the order of unresolved externals to first not find Method1 and Method2, then others.) The .cpp files also contain #pragma package(smart_init) near the top, under the includes. Questions that might help... Are packages reliable using C++, or are they only useable with Delphi code? Is linking to the first package by adding a reference to its BPI correct - is that how you're supposed to do it? I could use a LIB but it seems to make the second package much larger, and I suspect it's statically linking in the contents of the first. Can we use the PACKAGE directive only on TObject-derived classes? There is no compiler warning using it on standard C++ classes. Is splitting code into packages the best way to achieve the goal of isolating code and communicating through defined layers / interfaces? I've been investigating this path because it seems to be the C++Builder / Delphi Way, and if it worked it looks attractive. But are there better alternatives? I'm very new to using packages and have only known about them through using components before. Any general words of advice would be great! We're using C++Builder 2010. Could someone help me? PS: if i run the bundle inside ECLIPSE it works perfectly. I generate the bundles with maven.

• Google Maps: remember id of marker with open info window

  I have a Google map that is showing a number of markers. If the user has clicked on a marker so that it is showing an open info window, currently when the boundaries are redrawn the info window is closed, because the marker is added again from scratch. How can I prevent this? It is not ideal, because often the boundaries are redrawn when the user clicks on a marker and the map moves to display the info window - so the info window appears and then disappears again :) I guess there are a couple of possible ways: remember which marker has an open info window, and open it again when the markers are redrawn don't actually re-add the marker with an open info window, just leave it there However, both require the marker with an open window to have some kind of ID number, and I don't know that this is actually the case in the Google Maps API. Anyone? ----------UPDATE------------------ I've tried doing it by loading the markers into an initial array, as suggested. • PHP parsing XML file with and without namespaces

  I need to get a XML File into a Database. Thats not the problem. Cant read it, parse it and create some Objects to map to the DB. Problem is, that sometimes the XML File can contain namespaces and sometimes not. Furtermore sometimes there is no namespace defined at all. So what i first got was something like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <struct xmlns:b="http://www.w3schools.com/test/"> <objects> <object> <node_1>value1</node_1> <node_2>value2</node_2> <node_3 iso_land="AFG"/> <coords lat="12.00" long="13.00"/> </object> </objects> </struct> And the parsing: $t = $xml->xpath('/objects/object'); foreach($nodes AS $node) { if($t[0]->$node) { $obj->$node = (string) $t[0]->$node; } } Thats fine as long as there are no namespaces. • Strange intermittent SQL connection error, fixes on reboot, comes back after 3-5 days (ASP.NET)

  For some reason every 3-5 days our web app loses the ability to open a connection to the db with the following error, the strange thing is that all we have to do is reboot the container (it is a VPS) and it is restored to normal functionality. Then a few days later or so it happens again. Has anyone ever had such a problem? I have noticed a lot of ANONYMOUS LOGONs in the security log in the middle of the night from our AD server which is strange, and also some from an IP in Amsterdam. I am not sure how to tell what exactly they mean or if it is related or not. Server Error in '/ntsb' Application. • "interface not found" in WCF Moniker without registration for excel

  I'm trying to connect excel to a WCF service, but I can't seem to get even a trivial case to work... I get an Invalid Syntax error when I try and create the proxy in excel. I've attached the visual studio debugger to excel, and get that the real error is "interface not found". I know the service works because the test client created by visual studio is ok... so the problem is in the VBA moniker string. I'm hoping to find one of two things: 1) a correction to my moniker string that will make this work, or 2) an existing sample project to download that has the source for both the host and client that does work.
