  • How use the google maps hand cursor in Python?

    Hello, I want to use the google maps hand cursor in Python but I don't know how to do it. I've downloaded the cursor but I only get to use the hand open, I also have a event that "closes" the hand when clicked but I don't know how can I change the style cursor on it. I say this because the google maps hand cursor has two style (the open and the closed hand). If you don't know how to use the other style you can also tell me how can I create another cursor where the close hand is the default style. If I have that, I only change the cursor and it's done.   • Worth it to use jQuery UI hosted by Google?

    Hi So I heard good reasons why to use the jquery hosted on google because of caching. But I am not sure about jQuery UI though. I am guessing that the jQuery UI file hosted on google has every single extension and plugin (such as Draggable, etc). So is that not kind of a waste if say your only using only jQuery UI tabs? to get all that other stuff with it. Also I see they have some of the templates up for the css files. I am guessing the caching would be the main advantage of using the hosted file.

    I'm not familiar with Google Analytics but I think you can use it to see how many people get to your site using different search strings. But if you don't yet have the site, can you simply ask Google how popular a search is? For instance say you're choosing a new product name/slogan/etc. First of all, you want to see if that is already very crowded, which is easy through just Googling it. But now you might want to see if anyone is actually searching for this... an ideal situation would be to find a search-string lots of people are using, which doesn't put your competitors on the #1 spot. Is this possible? Not exactly programming-related, but closely related to web-development IMO... please vote to close if you disagree, I won't be offended!

That is why I want to edit/patch the source of only that single kernel module to add some extra debug output. The kernel module in question is mvsas and not necessary to boot.     I've created a small piece of functionality that enables you to create actions for Java classes in the IDE. When the user right-clicks on a Java class, they will see one or more actions depending on the superclass of the selected class. To explain this visually, here I have "BlaTopComponent.java". I right-click on its node in the Projects window and I see "This is a TopComponent": Indeed, when you look at the source code of "BlaTopComponent.java", you'll see that it implements the TopComponent class. Next, in the screenshot below, you see that I have right-click a different class. In this case, there's an action available because the selected class implements the ActionListener class. Then, take a look at this one. Here both TopComponent and ActionListener are superclasses of the current class, hence both the actions are available to be invoked: Finally, here's a class that subclasses neither TopComponent nor ActionListener, hence neither of the actions that I created for doing something that relates to TopComponents or ActionListeners is available, since those actions are irrelevant in this context: How does this work? Well, it's a combination of my blog entries "Generic Node Popup Registration Solution" and "Showing an Action on a TopComponent Node". I can't do any web searching using Google or Bing because when the search result page shows up, every single link on the page is completely unresponsive. That is, every link to a search result. The links to page functions other than search results work fine. This happens in both IE9 and FF13. It doesn't happen to Yahoo! results, though. Any ideas?

While trying to test the site, there was an index.html file with a malicious script which had an iframe to another site's jar file. Kaspersky antivirus blocked it. I browsed via ftp to find the file and I deleted it. I also disabled directory listing. Maybe the ftp details of the site owner would have been hacked. I want to report this site to Google, Microsoft, Mozilla, and other antivirus providers. How do I do that?     The address bar background color in Google Chrome is black. I cannot see what I'm typing. What's going on? This is a problem when you're typing in a URL you've never used before (so there's no matching history). Type in a URL you've never used before. Imagine someone is giving it to you over the phone. Make a typo somewhere. Use the back arrow to go back and correct it. You cannot see where the cursor is. This just started happening yesterday. I'm on WinXP Pro.

  • Rendering a WPF Network Map/Graph layout - Manual? PathListBox? Something Else?

    I'm writing code to present the user with a simplified network map. At any given time, the map is focused on a specific item... say a router or a server. Based on the focused item, other network entities are grouped into sets (i.e. subnets or domains) and then rendered around the focused item. Lines would represent connections and groups would be visually grouped inside a rectangle or ellipse. Panning and zooming are required features. An item can be selected to display more information in a "properties" style window. An item could also be double-clicked to re-focus the entire network map on that item. At that point, the entire map would be re-calculated. I am using MVVM without any framework, as of yet. Assume the logic for grouping items and determining what should be shown or not is all in place. I'm looking for the best way to approach the UI layout. So far, I'm aware of the following options: Use a canvas for layout (inside a ScrollViewer to handle the panning). Have my ViewModel make use of a Layout Manager type of class, which would handle assigning all the layout properties (Top, Left, etc.). Bind my set of display items to an ItemsControl and use Data Templates to handle the actual rendering. The drawbacks with this approach: Highly manual layout on my part. Lots of calculation. I have to handle item selection manually. Computation of connecting lines is manual. The Pros of this approach: I can draw additional lines between child subnets as appropriate (manually). Additional LayoutManagers could be added later to render the display differently. This could probably be wrapped up into some sort of a GraphLayout control to be re-used. Present the focused item at the center of the display and then use a PathListBox for layout of the additional items. Have my ViewModel expose a simple list of things to be drawn and bind them to the PathListBox. Override the ListBoxItem Template to also create a line geometry from the borders of the focused item (tricky) to the bound item. Use DataTemplates to handle the case where the item being bound is a subnet, in which case we would use another PathListBox in the template to display items inside the subnet. The drawbacks with this approach: Selected Item synchronization across multiple `PathListBox`es. Only one item on the whole graph can be selected at a time, but each child PathListBox maintains its own selection. Also, subnets cannot be selected, but would be selectable without additional work. Drawing the connecting lines is going to be a bit of trickery in the ListBoxItem template, since I need to know the correct side of the focused item to connect to. The pros of this approach: I get to stay out of the layout business, more. I'm looking for any advice or thoughts from others who have encountered similar issues or who have more WPF experience than I. I'm using WPF 4, so any new tricks are legal and encouraged.

Following a few posts instructions I was able to set up mailx using a .mailrc file. there was first the error of nss-config-dir I solved that by copying some .db files from a firefox directory. to ./certs and aiming to it in mailrc. A mail was sent. However, the error above came up. By some miracle, there was a Google certificate in the .db. It showed up with this command: ~]$ certutil -L -d certs Certificate Nickname Trust Attributes SSL,S/MIME,JAR/XPI GeoTrust SSL CA ,, VeriSign Class 3 Secure Server CA - G3 ,, Microsoft Internet Authority ,, VeriSign Class 3 Extended Validation SSL CA ,, Akamai Subordinate CA 3 ,, MSIT Machine Auth CA 2 ,, Google Internet Authority ,, Most likely, it can be ignored, because the mail worked anyway.     I have Airtel broadband and a Tata broadband connection. i have around 50 PCs connecting through an airtel broadband connection. Both are dsl connections with my phone line going into dsl modems and an Ethernet cable going from dsl modem directly into a switch. Currently, only airtel connection is connected with static IP on my private lan and using the airtel ISP DNS servers as DNS IP address and the default gateway is 192.168.1.1 (IP add. of the dsl modem). All PCs are connected in a work group. When in full use, my users complain of certain web pages are not opening. When I ping Internet addresses like Yahoo or Google I get 2 reply packets and 2 lost packets. I suspect that a single broadband connection is not able to sustain 50 simultaneous downloads/browsing. Is there any device which connect to both DSL and make one line so that its give me high speed simultaneous browsing. Help needed urgently. Thank you all to those who reply.

And, after researching a bit in the internets, I also tried the following, with no luck: G:\>del \\?\G:\Z_DRIVE\workspaces\google-gson-1.7.1-release.zip The system cannot find the file specified. Other than booting from some Linux CD, is there a way to get rid of this file?   • GWTAI applet integration in GWT problem

    Hi everybody. I'm working with gwtai to integrate a java applet into my gwt - project. Basic communication from my main application to the applet (such as invoking simple methods that return int or boolean values) works. But the main reason why I need to integrate this applet is, that I need it to connect to another server and receive a answer and pass it to my gwt-application. So there's one basic method in the applet: public String SendAndReceive(String host, int sendPort, int receivePort, String query) that connects to the server, receives an answer and returns this answer as a string. When I now try to invoke this method like this: applet.SendAndReceive("0.0.0.0", 9099, 2000, "show streams;"); I constantly run into following error (full error message at the end): com.google.gwt.core.client.JavaScriptException: (String): Error calling method on NPObject! [plugin exception: java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.util.PropertyPermission * read,write)] I couldn't find a solution (for gwtai is a quite uncommon topic), what I found out (and what the Exception let's one assume) is, that there's a security problem - maybe because I'm connecting to another server. I also read something about browser's Single Origin Policy, what would point in the same direction...up to now I have never worked with java applets. So if someone has a solution or a hint I would be very thankful. If more code is helpful I can give.   • FBX Importer - Texture Name

    I have a problem with the FBX SDK. I read in the data for the vertex position and the uv coordinates. It works fine, but now I want to read for each polygon to which texture it belongs, so that I can have models with multiple textures. Can anyone tell me how I can get the texture name (file name) for my polygon.
