  i tried making library with ar -r -c -s libtestlib.a *.o as given in this tutorial http://matrixprogramming.com/Tools/CompileLink.html But on linking with library following error comes g++ -o uni2asc uni2asc.o -L../Modules -ltestlib ../Modules/libtestlib.a: could not read symbols: Archive has no index; run ranlib to add one collect2: ld returned 1 exit status i tried with ranlib also but still the error comes.. im working with ubuntu9.10 Please suggest me some solution for this

  I'm deleting selected rows from both table in MYSQL, the two tables have foreign keys. delete d,b from A as b inner join B as d on b.bid=d.bid where b.name like '%xxxx%'; MYSQL complains about foreign keys even though I'm trying to delete from both tables: Error: Cannot delete or update a parent row: a foreign key constraint fails (yyy/d, CONSTRAINT fk_d_bid FOREIGN KEY (bid) REFERENCES b (bid) ON DELETE NO ACTION ON UPDATE NO ACTION) what's the best solution here to delete from both table?

Particularly: select m from Manual m //constraint e.g. in sql (mysql syntax) I would do it like: select * from Manual limit 1 The only solution that comes up is simply to get all entities and then choose first one, which is out of the issue.   Does anyone have a good solution for integrating some C# code into a java application? The code is small, so I could re-write in java, but I would rather reuse the code if possible. Don't repeat yourself, etc. Also, I know I can expose the C# as a web service or whatever, but it has some security/encryption stuff in there, so I would rather keep it tightly integrated if possible. Edit: It's going to be on a server-based app, so "downloading" another runtime is irrelevant.

The problem is that every player i find uses a simple param to get the file url which makes it very easy for someone to find that url and just download the file. I'm NOT asking how to escape the quotes with slashes, that's obvious.
