  • apache tiles ordering problem

    I have a problem with the order of rendering tiles. The menu gets rendered first and then the body of our webpage gets rendered. Each tile has it`s own controller that handles everything that tile needs to do. There are two forms. One in the menu and one in the body. Each one changes something in the menu and in the body. The problem is that if a form in the body changes something the menu gets rendered first and then the body controller handles form things and puts data to session, but menu is already done and the session was empty. I cant turn body and menu around becaouse there are other forms that work the other way around. How to deal with this problem? I do want every tile to have its own controller that deals with everything that tile does.

  • How to load images and fragments dynamically in LiveCycle Designer forms?

    Hi there. I've created a couple of shared templates (.xdp) which will be shared among several clients. Obviously, each client has their own logo and I'd like to set the logo upon form generation. I've managed to change the logo dynamically although I'm not sure if my approach is good. In the xml datasource I've got this element: <ClientID>SomeNumber</ClientId> In the form itself I set the image href with this javascript code: SomeHiddenTextField::calculate HeaderLogo.value.image.href = $record.ClientID + "_logo.jpg"; I've got the logos stored on the server in the same folder as the shared templates. Is this an alright approach to load logos dynamically? I've been trying to achieve the same dynamic behaviour with each client's footer fragment, but I have been unable to figure out how to load these on demand. I could make each footer fragment in to an image but I'd like to avoid it if possible.

  • ASP.NET Granting access to local resources

    Hi all I have an ASP.NET web application that runs on a windows server 2003 server. there is a form that reads and writes data to an xml file inside the application's directory. I always grant the NETWORK SERVICE user full control on my application folder so that it can read and write to the xml file. I put the application on another windows server 2003 server and did the same steps above but i was getting an Access denied exception on the form that reads and writes to the xml. I did some search and found that if you grant the user ASPNET full control to the directory it would work, I did that and it worked fine. my question is: what is the difference between granting full control permissions to NETWORK SERVICE and ASPNET users ? and what can be the difference between the two servers that caused this issue ? thanks

  • Cross Browser input field width stylization

    Hi, I have a shipping/billing input form and I'm having trouble styling the input fields to be the same width... Here is a link (click one of the order bottles to go to the checkout page which contains the form) The Problem: -a field <input type="text" size="X" /> appears to render with different sizes in different browsers (see link). -In addition, select fields seem to render on a differently as well. -Chrome/safari do not seem to respond to the font-size property for select fields. Any guidance on how to stylize the size of text-input and select fields cross-browser would be oh so very helpful. Must I result to having a different sytlesheet for each browser... just for these input fields? -thanks

If it happens I want to do some work and show a progressbar while doing that.     Does anyone else out there long for the simpler days where you needed to move a jumper in the jumper block to set your modem card to use IRQ7 so it would not conflict with the interrupts used by other boards in your PC and your modem card came with a 78 page manual telling you everything you would need to know to write your own driver for the board including a full schematic along with the board layout showing every chip, capacitor, and resistor?  Ahhhhh, the simplicity!I am wrestling with UserPnp issues for a USB software licensing dongle that is needed by some third party software in one of our production applications. Of course, every machine in production is virtual, so it could be anything in the chain of the software application library to the device driver running on the VM to the configuration of the simulated USB port to the implementation of the USB connection and transport in the virtual host to the physical electrical connections in the USB port on the hypervisor.If only there were the virtual analog to a set of needle-nose pliers to move a virtual jumper.Come to think of it, I always used to drop those damn things such that they would land in an irretrievable position under the motherboard anyway.

  • VB 2010 Express - Debugger is not breaking on errors, Sub producing error simply terminates

    I'm using VB 2010 Express. When an error occurs in the form load function, the form load function simply terminates. Then, when I click on one of my buttons, the button click sub also terminates if it has an error. I can wrap the code that produces the errors in try/catch blocks, but I'd very much rather the debugger to throw an immediate break point (like usual) or at least exit the program. It's making it very difficult to program, not knowing whether or not previous Subs executed fully. Any thoughts on what might be going on? Thanks

  • Changing properties of controls that were added at runtime

    I have a form in which several buttons are added at runtime via a 'for' method public Form() { for (int i = 0 ... ) Button b = new Button() b.text = (string) i ; etc.. etc.. } . now i wish to change the text property of the buttons on a certain event. How can this be accomplished? I have tried a few things but none worked.. since the buttons variables are inside the method , they are not available outside. Thanks

  • Why is django.test.client.Client not keeping me logged in.

    I'm using django.test.client.Client to test whether some text shows up when a user is logged in. However, I the Client object doesn't seem to be keeping me logged in. This test passes if done manually with Firefox but not when done with the Client object. class Test(TestCase): def test_view(self): user.set_password(password) user.save() client = self.client # I thought a more manual way would work, but no luck # client.post('/login', {'username':user.username, 'password':password}) login_successful = client.login(username=user.username, password=password) # this assert passes self.assertTrue(login_successful) response = client.get("/path", follow=True) #whether follow=True or not doesn't seem to work self.assertContains(response, "needle" ) When I print response it returns the login form that is hidden by: {% if not request.user.is_authenticated %} ... form ... {% endif %} This is confirmed when I run ipython manage.py shell. The problem seems to be that the Client object is not keeping the session authenticated.

    In the controller, how can I add a variable at the end of a params[]? If I try this I get an error: params[:group_] + variable How should it be done? Edit per request Ok, I have a form that sets groups of radio buttons with names like this: group_01DRN0 Obviously I have different groups in the form (group_01AAI0, group_01AUI0, etc.) and the value is set according to the radio button selected within the group: Radio button "group_01DRN0" could have value of "21" or "22" or "23", radio button "group_01AAI0" could have value of "21" or "22" or "23", etc. In the DB I have every code (01DRN0, 01AAI0, 01AUI0, etc) so I want to select them from DB and iterate in the params value so I can get the radio button group value, I've tried this with no luck: @codes=Code.get_codes for c in @codes @all=params[:group_] + c.name end Thanks.

After the user selects one of the options I need to find out what the selected value/label (will be the same) is so I can hit an update button and retrieve the data on that option.     I am working on an ASP.NET MVC 2 application. In one of my data entry forms, I have an "employer" field which has a "search" link next to it. When a user clicks on this link, another window is opened with a search form. The user uses the search form to search for the correct employer. A list of employers is shown to the user. Currently, the user has to then copy and paste the correct employer from the child window into the original window. I want to implement it so that each employer search result in the child window is a hyperlink. The user would then click on the correct employer and then the correct employer value would be populated in the original parent window employer field. How would I go about implementing this in ASP.NET MVC 2?

  • Multiple Post Requests Occuring in Quick Succession

    This is a bit of an open ended question but we have a problem with a web application that on the final step of completing an order, multiple post requests are being made, sometimes up to 10 and all within a couple of seconds to the page. Theirs nothing unusual about the page, the user fills out a form which is then validated using the jQuery form validation plugin. We've seen this behavior exhibited over a couple of different browser types, notably IE6 but also IE8. We've also managed to trigger the bug ourselves but nothing out of the ordinary seems to occur on the browsers end, everything progresses as normal. Apache logs show that multiple post requests where made at the same time and the Rails logs show that multiple posts requests were also received by the application, leading me to think it's a problem with the browser. I've exhausted all avenues that I can think of for debugging so I'm throwing this out there to see if anyone has some ideas of what we could try or look for next.
