• Troubleshooting a network card on linux. Connected to network, given access point, no connection?

  I installed the driver for my network card. iwconfig and ifconfig are all responsive to connecting to the network, I'm given an access point address. Then, I try to connect to a website and no dice. ping www.google.com yields no result. What gives?

• Blocking HTTP clients which request certain URLs repeatedly

  I run a website on Windows Server 2008 R2. Looking through the IIS logs, I have noticed that there are some IP addresses repeatedly requesting certain URLs (such as for example /mysql/phpmyadmin/main.php, /phpadmin/main.php) which do not exist, as the site is entirely served off of ASP.NET. They are obviously fishing for known vulnerabilities. My question is, are there any firewall or other tools (Windows built-in or commercial) that allow me to block those IP addresses which request certain URLs multiple times?

  I've got a website that is exhibiting slow performance on the first load and would like to attempt to load it every 5 minutes or so to keep the cache fresh. Are there any simple tools to accomplish this? Scheduled tasks doesn't have quite the time resolution I need. The tricky thing is that this site uses Windows authentication so a wget script won't work. I'm also worried about instantiating a bunch of copies of internet explorer or attempting to kill iexplore.exe tasks blindly.

  I'm using the standard Database Model Diagram template in Visio 2007. When I try to connect two entities, the line is a "one and only one" type. I need a "zero or more" type, but no amount of line editing will change the line. Is this a bug? The Visio help does not describe how to do this and the MS website turns up no results for 2007 (plenty for 2003, but the menu options it refers to are not in 2007).

They like the price of PayPal, but don't really like the interface. Could I offer them an alternative service to PayPal that would allow me to setup a checkout page directly on their website and not require their users to create accounts?

  I use Apache version 2.2.11 through WampServer to host a website. Every time during the last week I tried to connect to localhost it went through and everything was fine.   Im using Microsoft SBS 2011 esentials to allow some of my users to remote into there work machines when they try they get and error that says that the rd gateway can not be trusted I looked up the error on google and confirmed that i need to install the ssl cert on the local machine but the instructions given are for sbs 2011 standard (website here ) but the path given is not in sbs essentials so where can i find the " Install Certificate Package.zip " file in essentials?

• Audio problems with Windows 7 running through Bootcamp

The only problem I've been having is with the audio, I seem to get a low hissing noise which is more prevalent when wearing headphones.   I got about 2000 clients on my website that have subscribed to our mailing list. I've used in the past Swift Mailer but it didn't work the way it was supposed to. I'm wondering if there is a way that Postfix could keep emails on the mailq (if lots of emails are sent at the same time) and send chunks of 20-30 emails every 10-20 mins. So this way, our server is not blacklisted. Any suggestions will be appreciate it.

• LogParser query to grab only external IP addresses from IIS logs?

  I'm working on a public website that is used by both external visitors and internal employees. I'm after the external visitor hits, but I can't think of a good way to filter out the internal IP ranges. Using LogParser, what is the best way to filter IISW3C logs by IP range? This is all I've come up with so far, which can't possibly be the best or most efficient way. WHERE [c-ip] NOT LIKE (10.10.%, 10.11.%) Any help is appreciated.
