    Hi , my doubt is the following, I have a network with 5 pcs, each machine has XP installed, I don't know much about distributed desktop applications, so what i want is to create a C# application using sql server 2005 database and visual studio 2008. I want that each pc can have access to create/update/delete data on the one XP machine that will store the database files. Do i need WServer2003 or any special network technology?? thanks in advance

When the first background worker completes and the RunWorkerCompleted event is fired, on which thread will that event fire, the UI or the first background worker from which RunWorkerAsync was called?     I know that ASP.NET MVC 1.0 is bin-deployable as explained in Phil Haack's article. Is ASP.NET MVC 2.0 also bin-deployable? Has anyone done this already that can point out potential pitfalls specific to version 2.0 if there are any? I would like to deploy a relatively simple ASP.NET MVC 2.0 onto a Windows 2008 Web server that does not have ASP.NET MVC 2.0 installed. It is running .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1. Thanks!

    I have a product table where the description column is fulltext indexed. The problem is, users frequently search a single word, which happens to be in the noiseXXX.txt files. We'd like to keep the noise word functionality enabled, but is there anyway to turn it off just for this one column? I think you can do this in 2008 with the SET STOPLIST=OFF, but I can't seem to find similar functionality in SQL Server 2005.
