  • Evaluating IIS7 with Virtual PC?

    Hi, I wanna do some local developer tests of IIS 7 but I don't have Windows Vista, 7 or 2008 server - I currently run XP SP3. I have Virtual PC installed so I can use Microsoft's IE compatibility images - are there any time-limited images that I can use with Virtual PC so I can check out IIS 7? The IIS 7 "Try it" link points to this page. But the VHS is for Windows Server platforms only I think and I don't want an ISO? Any advice?

  • write file in network shared folder with UnauthorizedAccessException?

    hi the win mobile 6 code tries to write files on network shared folder, but always gets UnauthorizedAccessException. I have checked permission and security setting on the folder and the code can read the file but just cant write to it. The code runs under administrator account which has full control over the folder and files. It is in vs 2008 professional with device emulator.Any help please? thanks very much.

  • ReSharper: Rename namespace not available?

    I'm trying to rename a namespace. For some reason, ReSharper isn't giving me the option to do so. I right click on it and choose Refactor, but everything except "Convert" is greyed out. I try the key combination CTRL R + R, and it says the command is unavailable. What am I doing wrong?     Hi recently I finished my WM6 Pro.6.1 application and happily learned that to put it into marketplace, it has to pass some tests. -Application Verifier -Microsoft Hopper Test Tool for Windows Mobile 6.0, 6.1, and 6.5 I use VS 2008 and windows mobile 6.1 and I couldnt run none of these tests, Hopeer tool has a FocusApp c++ application which I must build and run before testing, but its a VS 2005 project and I couldnt run it on VS 200..and without it I can't test anything. any ideas how can I build that for VS2008?

    Hi, I have copied a DB from one my computers and using it here. On trying to open the page which requires the fetching content from DB, on con.open I am getting this exception: Unable to open the physical file "E:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10.SQLEXPRESS\MSSQL\DATA\cakephp.mdf". Operating system error 32: "32(The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.)". Unable to open the physical file "E:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10.SQLEXPRESS\MSSQL\DATA\cakephp_log.LDF". Operating system error 32: "32(The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.)". Cannot open database "cakephp" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'Sarin-PC\Sarin'. I have attached the database from Management Studio Express 2008 and I have also checcked the connection string. Here it is: <connectionStrings> <add name="cn" connectionString="server=.\sqlexpress;database=cakephp;integrated security=true;uid=sarin;pwd=******"/> </connectionStrings> In Visual Studio, when I test the connection, it says "Test connection succeeded". However, there is one strange thing going on. When I login to the Management Studio, there is no + sign with the newly attached database, as shown. I'm working on some legacy code that has several 100-200 line methods that contain a lot of duplication and I would like to abstract the duplication out. Still, I can't understand how to connect to my server: I see that the SQL service itself (SQLEXPRESS) is running in both in services.msc and Sql Server Configuration Manager I try to connect to it via the Management Studio, but I don't understand what to do.
