  • Dynamic content doesn't work when loaded with ajax

    I'm trying to load some dynamic content after the user has logged in, using $.ajax, like so: $.ajax({ url: "functions.php", type: "GET", data: login_info, datatype: 'html', async: false, success: function (response) { $('#main').html(response); } }); The problem is, that some events don't work, when loaded this way. I fixed the buttons with the .live() method, but a sortable list for example, doesn't work. How can I somehow refresh the DOM, and let jquery know of these new added elements? Thanks!

    Hello all, I've created a page that uses jquery to slide from left to right displaying content in the middle of the page, everything around the centre is hidden via "overflow: hidden" which works a charm, until I embedded via the tags a quicktime video, it isn't hidden / it is always visible.     According to this python page, oursql looks very cool. oursql has real parameterization. oursql allows text or binary data to be streamed into the database and streamed out of the database, instead of requiring everything to be buffered in the client. oursql can both insert rows lazily and fetch rows lazily. oursql has unicode support on by default. So, Anyone start using it in the live projects and could share pros and cons over it?

  • PHP's DOMXPath is stripping out my tags inside the matched text.

    I asked this question yesterday, and at the time it was just what I needed, but while working with some live data I discovered that is wasn't quite doing what I expected. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2571232/parse-html-with-phps-html-domdocument I gets the data from the HTML page, but then it also strips out all the HTML tags inside the captured block of text, which isn't what I want. (I might wan't to take some of the tags out, but not all, and this can be done later)

    Hi there, Chef from Opscode seems to be really useful for configuring servers and such, but trying to follow their documentation is a little difficult. Some terms are defined after they are used, and definitions sometimes reference new terms that you haven't yet encountered. Anyone know of any GOOD tutorials/walk-throughs for getting a good understanding of Chef, Chef-Server and Chef-Client? I remember seeing one video presentation online, but it barely scratched the surface.

    I recently watched a youtube video where a guy got a camera to recognize when a rubik's cube was held up to it, and it captured the 9 square color combination before snapping a picture of the cube and displaying the 3x3 grid on the screen of his computer. What kind of programming is this and where would I start reading to get into this sort of thing? specifically, controlling a camera, and getting it to pick out certain parts of an image and translate that data.

I don't know if it would eventually return as I am running it on a live server and fear overloading. I am doing similar queries and much more complex queries successfully.

    Can anyone tell me why this command doesn't work from the MongoDB shell client: db.coll.update({'live':true},{$set:{'mask':"\D\D\D\D\D\D\D\D"}},false,true) but db.coll.findOne({'id':'someId'}) returns the mask field as: "mask" : "DDDDDDDD", Where are the slashes going? I've tried "double escaping" with \\D and that inserts both slashes: "mask" : "\\D\\D\\D\\D\\D\\D\\D\\D", MongoDB shell version: 2.0.6, MongoDB version: 2.0.5, OSX Lion Thanks

    I have a shell background convertor on my video website and I can't seem to get APC to delete a key as a file is uploaded and its visibility is updated. The script is structured like so: if(file_exists($output_file)) { $conn->query("UPDATE `foo` SET `bar` = 1 WHERE `id` = ".$id." LIMIT 1"); apc_delete('feed:'.$id); } Everything works fine except for the APC and this is the only script on the site that has had this problem. I'm stumped.

    I'm implementing the Express Checkout? I have no problem with the first two steps:SetExpressCheckout and GetExpressCheckout,but met the "Security header is not valid" at DoExpressCheckout. The API credentials are the same! I've fixed it by changing the $environment to live in DoExpressCheckout.(The difference is that it'll use https://api.sandbox.paypal.com/nvp/ instead of https://api-3t.$environment.paypal.com/nvp) But why?     I just want to clear this up once and for all, is it ok to subclass a UIWebView? Will I ever have to be nervous about apple rejecting the app because of a UIWebView subclass?
