    Hello, I'm making a custom message box that lets you copy text, but I wanted it to look exactly like a standard message box, so I would like to set the buttons text to whatever the system language is, as the MessageBox class does. Does anyone knows how to get that text ("Yes", "No", "Cancel", etc)?.

  • Android insertImage and the Gallery Application

    I am adding a bmp file to the media store using the line below ContentResolver cr = getContentResolver(); Uri uri = Uri.parse(MediaStore.Images.Media.insertImage(cr, bmp, "name", "now")); I then go to the gallery application and it shows the image, but shows it under "Camera Pictures". Is there a way to change this to its own group, perhaps to its own group? Do I need a custom content provider for this? Thanks.

On web I could find a lot many posts showing me ways to remove/hide buttons but none really worthwhile which could tell me how can I just disable an alrteady existing sharepoint button in my custom List type. e.g. Following code does remove the button instead of hiding.     Ok so I had a qustion awhile back regarding Silverlight 4 Data Binding with anonymous types, one of the answers was to use [assembly: System.Runtime.CompilerServices.InternalsVisibleTo("System.Windows")] in your AssemblyInfo.cs file. I tried this and it works! I know I'm making all my internal properties classes and methods visible to the System.Windows Assembley. But what kind of risk is this with the following in mind: The product is a hosted silverlight based web application, so it wont be distributed. Thanks in advance

  • Silverlight RichTextBox Disable Mouse Selection

    I am writing a custom control based on RichTextBox that needs the ability to process MouseLeftButtonDown events but must not allow user-initiated selection (I'm doing everything programmatically). I tried setting a flag in MouseLeftButtonDown to track dragging and then continuously setting the RichTextBox.Selection to nothing in the MouseMove event but the move event isn't fired until after I release the mouse button. Any ideas on how to solve this? Thanks.

It is working fine when I return Collection of some object which does not contain any other custom objects as its fields. Am I missing any settings for this to work? Thanks!

  • Visual Studio 2008 Report Designer - can't turn on gridlines

    Microsoft in their infinite wisdom have seen fit to remove the useful "Draw Grid" and "Snap to Grid" checkboxes in the report properties dialog that were in VS 2005 but are not in VS 2008. I'm assuming they put that functionality elsewhere but I can't find it after going through what seems like every menu option available. Does anybody know how to turn on the gridlines?

    I got this from php.net website. This is related to the problem I am having with tho code below. Can anyone explain me what the following does. I am using Vista. What does running Word on server implies? In order to get the Word example running, do the following on the server side. Worked for me... 1. Click START--RUN and enter "dcomcnfg" 2. In the "Applications" tab, go down to "Microsoft Word Document" 3. Click PROPERTIES button 4. Go to the "Security" Tab 5. Click "Use custom access permissions", and then click EDIT 6. Click ADD and then click SHOW USERS 7. Highlight the IIS anonymous user account (usually IUSR_), click ADD 8. Go back to the "Security" tab by hitting OK 9. Click "Use custom launch permissions", and the click EDIT 10. Click ADD and then click SHOW USERS 11. Highlight the IIS anonymous user account (usually IUSR_), click ADD 12. Hit OK, and then hit APPLY. Also, you should look at the "Identity" tab in the Microsoft Word Document PROPERTIES and see that it is set to "Interactive User" ALSO, log into the machine AS the IUSR_ account, start word, and make sure to click through the dialog boxes that Word shows the first time it is run for a certain user.   • MPMoviePlayerController doesn't implement MPMediaPlayback protocol as advertised?

    I'm trying to use the MPMediaPlayback protocol's currentPlaybackRate() to slow down a video. I'm confused though as the class MPMoviePlayerController states that: You can control most aspects of playback programmatically using the methods and properties of the MPMediaPlayback protocol, to which this class conforms. Except just above in the header here: http://developer.apple.com/iphone/library/documentation/MediaPlayer/Reference/MPMoviePlayerController_Class/MPMoviePlayerController/MPMoviePlayerController.html it doesn't seem to. All I want to do is slow down the playback rate for a video.

  • Client-side templating frameworks to streamline using jQuery with REST/JSON

    I'm starting to migrate some html generation tasks from a server-side framework to the client. I'm using jQuery on the client. My goal is to get JSON data via a REST api and use this data to populate HTML into the page. Right now, when a user on my site clicks a link to My Projects, the server generates HTML like this: <dl> <dt>Clean Toilet</dt> <dd>Get off your butt and clean this filth!</dd> <dt>Clean Car</dt> <dd>I think there's something growing in there...</dd> <dt>Replace Puked on Baby Sheets</dt> </dl> I'm changing this so that clicking My Projects will now do a GET request that returns something like this: [ { "name":"Clean Car", "description":"I think there's something growing in there..." }, { "name":"Clean Toilets", "description":"Get off your butt and clean this filth!" }, { "name":"Replace Puked on Baby Sheets" } ] I can certainly write custom jQuery code to take that JSON and generate the HTML from it. This is not my question, and I don't need advice on how to do that. What I'd like to do is completely separate the presentation and layout from the logic (jquery code). I don't want to be creating DL, DT, and DD elements via jQuery code. I'd rather use some sort of HTML templates that I can fill the data in to. These templates could simply be HTML snippets that are hidden in the page that the application was loaded from. Or they could be dynamically loaded from the server (to support user specific layouts, i18n, etc.). They could be displayed a single time, as well as allow looping and repeating. Perhaps it should support sub-templates, if/then/else, and so forth. I have LOTS of lists and content on my site that are presented in many different ways. I'm looking to create a simple and consistent way to generate and display content without creating custom jQuery code for every different feature on my site. To me, this means I need to find or build a small framework on top of jQuery (probably as a plugin) that meets these requirements. The only sort of framework that I've found that is anything like this is jTemplates. I don't know how good it is, as I haven't used it yet. At first glance, I'm not thrilled by it's template syntax. Anyone know of other frameworks or plugins that I should look into? Any blog posts or other resources out there that discuss doing this sort of thing? I just want to make sure that I've surveyed everything out there before building it myself. Thanks!

    I copied an existing project and renamed the folder. Now I get this error when I try to compile the application debugging information cannot be found or does not match. No symbols loaded. Do you want to continue debugging ? If I click yes, it compiles and runs fine. But now I have to deal with that message. Just curious about what i change in the projects properties to get it to stop.

    I've got an editor in javascript on my webpage and I would like to ask user if he/she wants to leave the page even if there are unsaved changes. I know I can add custom message to the "onbeforeunload dialog" this way: window.onbeforeunload = function() { return 'You have unsaved changes!'; } (Source) but I want to display the dialog only where there really are some unsaved changes.     Hi, trying to get a jQueryUI datepicker working within a jQuery blockUI dialogue but it appears behind the blockUI dialogue, i.e. in the blanked out area, and when trying to choose a date it disappears but the value not posted. js code is simply; $('#datePicker').datepicker({ inline: true }); against which is part of the blockUI markup to create the dialogue.     Hi All, I am looking to get some better performance on an ItemsControl, and I believe that the biggest hang-up is the rendering. The ItemTemplate of the control consists of (basically) a Border around an ImageBrush. The ItemsSource is an ObservableCollection of a custom class (of which I have no real control). What I'd like to know are some techniques for measuring (rudimentary measurements are fine to start with) the performance. This is an XP machine using .NET 3.5 SP1. Thanks, wTs

  • html5 video secure streaming?

    Does html5 allow me to do secure streaming video? And by this, I mean token authentication. I want to be able to stream media only to those people who are authorised to view it. I can do this currently with Flash Media Server hosted by Akamai - they have a custom mechanism where I send them a token as part of the player connection handshake. Does html5 allow for this, and has anyone implemented this with a hosting service such as Akamai? Thanks Matt

    Hi, i'm about to read some xml (who isn't :-)) This time however it's a lot of data: about 30.000 records with 5 properties, all in one file. Till now i've always read that the XmlTextReader is the fastest way to read xml data, but now there also is the (nice sytax of) linqtoXml. Does anybody know any performance issues, or that there aren't any, with LinqToXml? Michel

I've been able to produce this with CSS3, and it works flawlessly on Firefox and Chrome: However, Internet Explorer 7 and 8 (not supporting CSS3) is a different story: Is there an easy, lightweight JavaScript solution that would allow me to either 1) use IE-specific features to achieve this, or 2) modify the DOM (programmatically) in such a way that adds custom images around the content area to emulate the effect?

  • Show Visualizers Error

    When I try to inspect DataSet by standard DataSet visualizer I see this error "could not load this custom viewer". I wrote simple dataset visualizer, but error throws anyway too. On other computers with the same configuration visualizer show without any errors. OS: Windows 7 x86 (Release) VS: Visual Studio 2010 RC has somebody any ideas? I reinstall VS with no effect.
