  I used to use cmd back in windows and the command line a used a lot was cls. It's kind of like the clear command in Linux but it cleans the screen permanently. If you use the clear command it just scroll down so that you don't see the command you where working on. I like both a lot but my question is how do i get a cls like command that clears the screen and can't browse up to see the command you where working on?

  I'm using my keyboard more and more these days for basic command line stuff, vim editing, alt-tab window switching and the like. Q) How can I use my number pad keys to move the cursor around on the screen without using the mouse? I looked to try and install btnx as mentioned by others but it doesn't seem to exist anymore as an available package I also tried shift-numlock as mentioned by another but that didn't work either (just turns numlock on/off).

• ipheth notification at login prompt

  On my command line only Ubuntu machine, the login prompt occasionally shows a warning: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS myserver tty1 myserver login: [833747.589882] ipheth: ipheth_rcvbulk_callback: urb status: -71 Nothing is obviously wrong with the system, and I can enter my username and password without issue. What does this message mean and should I be worried about it? Edit: I've found plugging in and then removing my iPhone from the computer causes this message. I'm still looking for what it means.

• What do each of the TTYs do?

  I know that alt+ctrl+F(1-6) take me to available command lines, and that F1 command line is used for debugging, and F8 is the GUI desktop, that what i know but today i noticed there in F7 that does nothing, it only displays some sort of log in message, and there is F(9-12) that just display black screen with blinking under scroll . can anyone enlighten me what those consoles do, are they for trouble shooting maybe? i use ubuntu netbook 10.10.

  I'm looking at the MigrateWubi page but I'm not sure if I need to change the partition directories to the ones I created, and if so, I'm not too sure which ones I need to change. Here are the partitions I've made: Should I just copy and paste: sudo bash wubi-move.sh /dev/sda5 /dev/sda6 into my terminal or something else? Also, do I enter just this one line or do i need to enter any other commands in there? Thanks!

I cant access any on-line resources both with the terminal, transmission(to download torrents), or Ubuntu software center. For firefox, I have configured it and can download .deb and other files but need direct access. Please give me step by step instruction as to how to configure and authenticate 12.04 terminal. • Red Hat Yum not working out of the box?

  I have a server runnning Red Hat Enterprise Linux v5.6 in the cloud. My project constraints do not allow me to use another OS. When I created the cloud server, I was able to SSH into it and access the shell. I next ran the command: sudo yum update But the command failed. About a month ago I created another server with the same machine image and didn't have that error. Why is it failing now? • Drawing scaled emoji icons on iOS

  I'm trying to implement my own emoji icon keyboard and have some problems. I'm trying to draw emoji icons at the same size as on native iOS emoji keyboard, but when doing simple drawing (standard unicode characters like "\ue415") icons always appear at original size. When trying to increase the font - emoji icons stay of the same size. When applying CGAffineTransform for scaling - drawn icons are bigger, but pixelated and blurred. How should I go about drawing emoji icons bigger, but sharper?

I know i would need a method which runs in a loop re-drawing the line after moving the position a tid bit. I would have to call Invalidate() in order to make the line appear as though it's moving... but how would i do this? how would i move that line slowly over to the other line? • Pencil brush in Photoshop

  I have a Wacom Intuos 3 pen tablet. I bought it so I can naturally draw directly into the computer. Working in Photoshop, though, I cannot seem to find the brush settings that mostly resemble drawing with a regular pencil (opacity, edge etc...). Can anybody direct me towards a resource or downloadable brush that will have settings and shape similar to that of a regular, moderately soft pencil? Thanks!
