  • Ant Copy Task: Failed to copy due to java.io.FileNotFoundException

    - by rfkrocktk
I'm trying to compile a Flex application in Ant (no problems here, I can do it fine). When I try to publish the contents of the project to a Windows network drive (known as "Z:\" on my system), I get the following LAME exception thrown by Java/Ant: BUILD FAILED C:\workspace\bkeller\build.xml:42: Failed to copy C:\workspace\bkeller\web\assets\text\biography.html to Z:\web\bkeller\assets\text\biography.html due to java.io.FileNotFoundException Z:\web\bkeller\assets\text\biography.html (The system cannot find the file specified) Which kind of sucks. I can't find any way to get rid of this problem and it's pretty crucial to my project that I get this working. I know for sure that I have read/write/execute permissions on the network drive, I can create/edit/delete files on the drive just fine through Windows explorer. Drive Z is a network mount to virtualbox, allowing me to get access to my host OS, Ubuntu. I've double checked that it has write permissions. Any ideas?

  • Some unit tests fail in automated Team Build task

    - by weenet
I have an odd situation. I have a suite of unit tests that pass on my dev machine. They pass on the build machine if run from visual studio. But 5 of them reliably fail during the automated build. There is nothing noteworthy about the ones that fail that I can see (and I've stared at them a long time). Anyone seen anything like this? Is there a way to see the test output in the Team Build log? All I get is Passed or Failed messages, but not the Assert message. Thanks!

  • msbuild TransformWebConfig task - doesn't work for App.configs?

    - by Jeff D
I have a windows service that will need to have the same kind of transformations that the web.configs would use, but VS 2010 doesn't seem to support that. I've tried manually adding the App.Release.Config files, and then using msbuil [PROJ] /T:TransformWebConfig /p:Configuration=Release but no transformation is performed. I got a TransformWebConfig folder createed in my obj subdirectory, but that's it. Is this thing hardcoded to only work with web.configs?

  • Looking For a .NET Task Scheduling library

    - by Hounshell
I'm looking for the following features: Scheduler uses SQL Server as the backing store Tasks can be scheduled by one application and executed by another I can have multiple applications, each of which handles a specific subset of tasks Tasks can be triggered at specific times, now, or based on the success or failure of other tasks Data can be attached to tasks There are a number of nice-to-have's, like a web management console, clustering/failover support, customizable logging, but they're not requirements. On the surface Quartz.NET has a nice interface and seems to fit the bill as it satisfies (1), (4 with some custom work) and (5), but I've been beating my head against (2) and (3) seems like I'd have to invest more effort than it's worth, especially given how convoluted the innards of it are. Any other libraries out there? Open source is preferred, with free as a close runner up. It's really hard to get management to pay for things like this when it's not their idea.

  • How to override ant task stored in ant lib directory

    - by mchr
At my work we use AspectJ in some of our Java projects. To get this to work with ant builds we have been placing aspectjtools.jar within ant/lib/. I am now working on a particular Java project and need to use a newer version of aspectJ. I don't want to have to get everyone who uses the project to update their local copy of aspectjtools.jar. Instead, I tried adding the newer aspectjtools.jar to the lib directory of the project and adding the following line to build.xml. <taskdef resource="org/aspectj/tools/ant/taskdefs/aspectjTaskdefs.properties" classpath="./lib/aspectjtools.jar" /> However, this doesn't work as I hoped as the ANT classloader loads jars from ant/lib/ in preference to the jar I specify in the taskdef classpath. Is there any way to force ant to pick the jar checked into my project instead?

  • Accessing UI context from asynch task

    - by cdonner
    I came across this android example that runs an AsyncTask from a UI thread. The class ExportDatabaseTask is declared and instantiated in the Activity, and apparently it is possible to reference the activity's UI context from the onPreExecute and onPostExecute events, like this: public class ManageData extends Activity { private ExportDatabaseTask exportDatabaseTask; [...] @Override public void onCreate(final Bundle savedInstanceState) { [...] ManageData.this.exportDatabaseTask = new ExportDatabaseTask(); ManageData.this.exportDatabaseTask.execute(); [...] } private class ExportDatabaseTask extends AsyncTask<String, Void, Boolean> { private final ProgressDialog dialog = new ProgressDialog(ManageData.this); protected void onPreExecute() { this.dialog.setMessage("Exporting database..."); this.dialog.show(); } protected Boolean doInBackground(final String... args) { [...] } protected void onPostExecute(final Boolean success) { if (this.dialog.isShowing()) { this.dialog.dismiss(); } } } I am trying to refactor this so that the ExportDatabaseTask is declared in another class that is not the Activity, for various reasons, and I can't quite figure out how to make it work. I am lacking some basic Java concepts here, which I readily admit. Specifically, myActivity is null in onPreExecute(). Why is that? public void onClick(View v) { Exporter ex = new Exporter(getApplicationContext(), ActivityMain.this); ex.exportDatabaseTask.execute(); } public class Exporter { public ExportDatabaseTask exportDatabaseTask; public Exporter(Context ctx, ActivityMain act) { myContext = ctx; myActivity = act; this.exportDatabaseTask = new ExportDatabaseTask(); } public class ExportDatabaseTask extends AsyncTask<Void, Void, Boolean> { private final ProgressDialog dialog = new ProgressDialog(myContext); // can use UI thread here? protected void onPreExecute() { // ====> this throws a Nullpointer exception: myActivity.dialog.setMessage("Exporting database..."); myActivity.dialog.show(); } protected Boolean doInBackground(final Void... args) { } protected void onPostExecute(final Boolean success) { if (myActivity.dialog.isShowing()) { myActivity.dialog.dismiss(); } } } }

  • SQL Syntax to count unique users completing a task

    - by Belliez
I have the following code which shows me what users has completed ticket and this lists each user and the date they close a ticket. i.e. Paul Matt Matt Bob Matt Paul Matt Matt At the moment I manually count each user myself to see their totals for the day. EDIT: Changed output as columns instead of rows: What I have been trying to do is get SQL Server to do this for me i.e. the final result to look like: Paul | 2 Matt | 5 Bob | 1 My code I am currently using is and I would be greatful if someone can help me change this so I can get it outputting something similar to above? DECLARE @StartDate DateTime; DECLARE @EndDate DateTime; -- Date format: YYYY-MM-DD SET @StartDate = '2013-11-06 00:00:00' SET @EndDate = GETDATE() -- Today SELECT (select Username from Membership where UserId = Ticket.CompletedBy) as TicketStatusChangedBy FROM Ticket INNER JOIN TicketStatus ON Ticket.TicketStatusID = TicketStatus.TicketStatusID INNER JOIN Membership ON Ticket.CheckedInBy = Membership.UserId WHERE TicketStatus.TicketStatusName = 'Completed' and Ticket.ClosedDate >= @StartDate --(GETDATE() - 1) and Ticket.ClosedDate <= @EndDate --(GETDATE()-0) ORDER BY Ticket.CompletedBy ASC, Ticket.ClosedDate ASC Thank you for your help and time.

  • Problem with creation of scheduled task from IIS6 on SR2003

    - by Morten Louw Nielsen
Hi, I am writing a webapplication using .NET. The webapp creates scheduled tasks using the System.Diagnostics.Process class, calling SCHTASKS.EXE with parameters. I have changed the identity on the app pool, to a specific domain user. The domain-user is local administrator on all the four webservers. From webserver01 I am creating tasks on webserver01 to webserver04. It works perfect for 3-5 days, but then it breaks. It gives me the following errormessage in a messagebox: "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142). Click on OK to terminate the application." If I have the system in the broken state, and I change the identity of the app pool to Domain administrator, it works. As I change it back to my domain-user, it breaks again. If I reboot the server, it works again for the same amount of days, but will break again. It seems like a permission-related problem. I just don't understand why it works sometimes, and sometimes doesn't. I hope someone outthere has seen this problem! Looking forward to hear from you! Kind regards, Morten, Denmark

  • Schedule timer with NSTimer makes the task run faster than expected

    - by Hoang Pham
I schedule a timer with NSTimer's function in viewWillAppear as follows: minutesTimer = nil; minutesTimer = [NSTimer scheduledTimerWithTimeInterval:60 target:self selector:@selector(updateScrollViewItems) userInfo:NULL repeats:YES]; With this function call, I expect it to call the selector updateScrollViewItems every minute, but it does not, it update items faster than expected (around some seconds). What is the cause of this unexpected behavior?

  • AsyncTask, RejectedExecutionException and Task Limit

    - by Samuh
I am fetching lots of thumbnails from a remote server and displaying them in a grid view, using AsyncTask. The problem is, my grid view displays 20 thumbnails at a time, so that creates 20 AsyncTasks and starts 20 executes, one per thumbnail. I get RejectedExecution exception in my code. I recall reading somewhere that there is a limit to number of tasks that AsyncTask can have in its queue at a time, i might be hitting that. Was this bar lifted? Is there a way to increase this limit? Is it safe to just ignore this exception?(by having an empty catch(RejectedException e){} block?) I am running this code on Android 1.6 emulator and the API level in my code(minSDKVersion is 3). [EDIT: Added SDK and API level info]

  • Copy task in Visual Studio 2008

    - by Maurizio Reginelli
This is a question related to a previous question I posted (see here). I need to configure a .csproj file to copy some files from a directory to another one (let me call them SOURCE and DESTINATION). I also need to change the SOURCE path depending from the configuration I'm using. For example, if I compile my project in Debug mode, the SOURCE path must contain a subfolder called Debug. I tried the solution proposed by Schmitt in the previous post, using $(ConfigurationName) to set the dynamic directory into the SOURCE path. When I opened the solution containing that project, a list of links to the source files appeared in the main tree of the project and they were correctly related to the Debug mode. But when I changed to the Release mode, I saw that the path of the linked source files were set again to the Debug version. Is there a way to specify a parameter in the Include attribute of the SourceFiles element? Thank you.

  • nunit2 Nant task always returns exit code 0 (TeamCity 5.0)

    - by Jonathan
Hello, I just cannot for the life of me get my nant build file to terminate upon a test failure and return (thus preventing the packaging and artifact step from running) This is the unit part of the nant file: <target name="unittest" depends="build"> <nunit2 verbose="true" haltonfailure="false" failonerror="true" failonfailureatend="true"> <formatter type="Xml" /> <test assemblyname="Code\AppMonApiTests\bin\Release\AppMonApiTests.dll" /> </nunit2> </target> And regardless what combination of true/false i set the haltonfailure, failonerror, failonfailureatend properties to, the result is always this: [11:15:09]: Some tests has failed in C:\Build\TeamCity\buildAgent\work\ba5b94566a814a34\Code\AppMonApiTests\bin\Release\AppMonApiTests.dll, tests run terminated. [11:15:09]: NUnit Launcher exited with code: 1 [11:15:09]: Exit code 0 will be returned.1 Please help as i don't want to be publishing binarys where the unit tests have failed!!! TeamCity 5.0 build 10669 AppMonApiTests.dll references nunit.framework.dll v2.5.3.9345 unit isn't installed on the build server or GAC'd Using Nant-0.85 and Nantcontrib-0.85 Thanks, Jonathan

  • Versioning SharePoint binary Workflow ASPX task forms

    - by Janis Veinbergs
Hello. As noted by some developers, workflow versioning is somekind of headache in SharePoint. I`m wondering is there a way I can version my aspx forms? For sure, i can version code behind assemblies, but if markup changes for any of my files in LAYOUTS folder? Is there versioning available for files or do i have to choose new filename for my form? Sorry, i should have been more specific. Yes, i have files under version control (i can restore previous versions etc), but i`m not talking about this kind of version control. But by deploying new Workflow Version, i must not delete old one, because it is still running on many items in SharePoint, but rather , as noted in previous links, deploy new one so i don't break execution of workflows. But workflows will still break if i don't preserve old aspx forms used by users to interact with workflows. So i must ensure that Assemblies with old version numbers used by old workflow exists (this one is ok, i just changed assembly version number and deployed to GAC) I must ensure that old workflow still uses old aspx form used users to interact with workflow, but new workflow version should use new aspx form with more options (how to do this?).

  • CruiseControl: How to read logs from exec task

    - by Marty
I start an external groovy script via cruisecontrol, which basically works. My problem is that if the groovy script fails I only get the "error string found" in my cruise webapp and email; its even not in the log files. The groovy script writes it output to stdout and to a logfile. How it is possible to display the output of an external script in the cruisecontrol logs? <project name="proj"> <schedule> <exec workingdir="/myscripts/folder" command="//bin/groovy" args="build.groovy -p ${project.name}.properties" errorstr="Exception"/> </schedule> </project>

  • Endless problems with a very simple python subprocess.Popen task

    - by Thomas
I'd like python to send around a half-million integers in the range 0-255 each to an executable written in C++. This executable will then respond with a few thousand integers. Each on one line. This seems like it should be very simple to do with subprocess but i've had endless troubles. Right now im testing with code: // main() u32 num; std::cin >> num; u8* data = new u8[num]; for (u32 i = 0; i < num; ++i) std::cin >> data[i]; // test output / spit it back out for (u32 i = 0; i < num; ++i) std::cout << data[i] << std::endl; return 0; Building an array of strings ("data"), each like "255\n", in python and then using: output = proc.communicate("".join(data))[0] ...doesn't work (says stdin is closed, maybe too much at one time). Neither has using proc.stdin and proc.stdout worked. This should be so very simple, but I'm getting constant exceptions, and/or no output data returned to me. My Popen is currently: proc = Popen('aux/test_cpp_program', stdin=PIPE, stdout=PIPE, bufsize=1) Advise me before I pull my hair out. ;)

  • Tinyxml Multi Task

    - by shaimagz
I have a single xml file and every new thread of the program (BHO) is using the same Tinyxml file. every time a new window is open in the program, it runs this code: const char * xmlFileName = "C:\\browsarityXml.xml"; TiXmlDocument doc(xmlFileName); doc.LoadFile(); //some new lines in the xml.. and than save: doc.SaveFile(xmlFileName); The problem is that after the first window is adding new data to the xml and saves it, the next window can't add to it. although the next one can read the data in the xml, it can't write to it. I thought about two possibilities to make it work, but I don't know how to implement them: Destroy the doc object when I'm done with it. Some function in Tinyxml library to unload the file. Any help or better understanding of the problem will be great. Thanks.

  • SQL-query task, decision?

    - by Sirius Lampochkin
    There is a table of currencies rates in MS SQL Server 2005: ID | CURR | RATE | DATE 1   | USD   | 30      | 01.10.2010 3   | GBP   | 45      | 07.10.2010 5   | USD   | 31      | 08.10.2010 7   | GBP   | 46      | 09.10.2010 9   | USD   | 32      | 12.10.2010 11 | GBP   | 48      | 03.10.2010 Rate are updated in real time and there are more than 1 billion rows in the table. It needs to write a SQL-query, wich will provide latest rates per each currency. My decision is: SELECT c.[id],c.[curr],c.[rate],c.[date] FROM [curr_rate] c, (SELECT curr, MAX(date) AS rate_date FROM [curr_rate] GROUP BY curr) t WHERE c.date = t.rate_date AND c.curr = t.curr ORDER BY c.[curr] ASC Is it possible to write a query without sub-queries and join's with derived tables?

  • Problem with a blocking network task

    - by user326967
Hello everyone. I'm new in Java so please forgive any obscene errors that I may make :) I'm developing a program in Java that among other things it should also handle clients that will connect to a server. The server has 3 threads running, and I have created them in the following way : DaemonForUI du; DaemonForPort da; DaemonForCheck dc; da = new DaemonForPort(3); dc = new DaemonForCheck(5); du = new DaemonForUI(7); Thread t_port = new Thread(da); Thread t_check = new Thread(dc); Thread t_ui = new Thread(du); t_port.setName("v1.9--PORTd"); t_check.setName("v1.9-CHECKd"); t_ui.setName("v1.9----UId"); t_port.start(); t_check.start(); t_ui.start(); Each thread handles a different aspect of the complete program. The thread t_ui is responsible to accept asynchronous incoming connections from clients, process the sent data and send other data back to the client. When I remove all the commands from the previous piece of code that has to with the t_ui thread, everything runs ok which in my case means that the other threads are printing their debug messages. If I set the t_ui thread to run too, then the whole program blocks at the "accept" of the t_ui thread. After reading at online manuals I saw that the accepted connections should be non-blocking, therefore use something like that : public ServerSocketChannel ssc = null; ssc = ServerSocketChannel.open(); ssc.socket().bind(new InetSocketAddress(port)); ssc.configureBlocking(false); SocketChannel sc = ssc.accept(); if (sc == null) { ; } else { System.out.println("The server and client are connected!"); System.out.println("Incoming connection from: " + sc.socket().getRemoteSocketAddress()); in = new DataInputStream(new BufferedInputStream(sc.socket().getInputStream())); out = new DataOutputStream(new BufferedOutputStream(sc.socket().getOutputStream())); //other magic things take place after that point... The thread for t_ui is created as follows : class DaemonForUI implements Runnable{ private int cnt; private int rr; public ListenerForUI serverListener; public DaemonForUI(int rr){ cnt = 0; this.rr = rr; serverListener = new ListenerForUI(); } public static String getCurrentTime() { final String DATE_FORMAT_NOW = "yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss"; Calendar cal = Calendar.getInstance(); SimpleDateFormat sdf = new SimpleDateFormat(DATE_FORMAT_NOW); return (sdf.format(cal.getTime())); } public void run() { while(true) { System.out.println(Thread.currentThread().getName() + "\t (" + cnt + ")\t (every " + rr + " sec) @ " + getCurrentTime()); try{ Thread.sleep(rr * 1000); cnt++; } catch (InterruptedException e){ e.printStackTrace(); } } } } Obviously, I'm doing something wrong at the creation of the socket or at the use of the thread. Do you know what is causing the problem? Every help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Best way to plan a task ?

    - by Indigo Praveen
Hi All, As I am very new to programming, I am very curious about learning the best ways/practices of programming. Whenever I want to write any program , I strat directly with coding while some guys say that you should plan your program first before starting the code. But I don't understand the real value of creating the class diagrams and all that kind of stuff coz I think that ultimately I have to write the code. Can you guys please share your experiences about how you are doing your programming means what is your first step when you start an application.
