i am searching for this string: <li class="g w0"><h3 class=r> within the html source of this link: "http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=Santarus Inc?" this is how i am searching for it: d=html.IndexOf(@"<li class=""g w0""><h3 class=r><a href=""",1); for some reason it is finding an occurence of it that is incorrect. jQuery ajax not preloading images

I have a list of galleries, when you click on the title of a gallery it pulls in the contents (HTML with images). When the content is pulled in it preloads the html but not the images, any ideas? I have a JSON object that looks like this. I am also worried about overriding information that is already in the list or just adding again. Don't want to keep adding the same data. What is a good way to avoid this? Port Win32 DLL hook to Linux

I have a program (NWShader) which hooks into a second program's OpenGL calls (NWN) to do post-processing effects and whatnot. NWShader was originally built for Windows, generally modern versions (win32), and uses both DLL exports (to get Windows to load it and grab some OpenGL functions) and Detours (to hook into other functions). I'm using the trick where Win will look in the current directory for any DLLs before checking the sysdir, so it loads mine. I have on DLL that redirects with this method: #pragma comment(linker, "/export:oldFunc=nwshader.newFunc) To send them to a different named function in my own DLL. I then do any processing and call the original function from the system DLL. I need to port NWShader to Linux (NWN exists in both flavors). As far as I can tell, what I need to make is a shared library (.so file). If this is preloaded before the NWN executable (I found a shell script to handle this), my functions will be called. The only problem is I need to call the original function (I would use various DLL dynamic loading methods for this, I think) and need to be able to do Detour-like hooking of internal functions. At the moment I'm building on Ubuntu 9.10 x64 (with the 32-bit compiler flags). I haven't been able to find much on Google to help with this, but I don't know exactly what the *nix community refers to it as. I can code C++, but I'm more used to Windows. Being OpenGL, the only part the needs modified to be compatible with Linux is the hooking code and the calls. Is there a simple and easy way to do this, or will it involve recreating Detours and dynamically loading the original function addresses?

Template Sort In C++

Hey all, I'm trying to write a sort function but am having trouble figuring out how to initialize a value, and making this function work as a generic template. The sort works by: Find a pair =(ii,jj)= with a minimum value = ii+jj = such at A[ii]A[jj] If such a pair exists, then swap A[ii] and A[jj] else break; The function I have written is as follows: template <typename T> void sort(T *A, int size) { T min =453; T temp=0; bool swapper = true; while(swapper) { swapper = false; int index1 = 0, index2 = 0; for (int ii = 0; ii < size-1; ii++){ for (int jj = ii + 1; jj < size; jj++){ if((min >= (A[ii]+A[jj])) && (A[ii] > A[jj])){ min = (A[ii]+A[jj]); index1 = ii; index2 = jj; swapper = true; } } } if (!swapper) return; else { temp = A[index1]; A[index1] = A[index2]; A[index2] = temp; sort(A,size); } } } This function will successfully sort an array of integers, but not an array of chars. I do not know how to properly initialize the min value for the start of the comparison. I tried initializing the value by simply adding the first two elements of the array together (min = A[0] + A[1]), but it looks to me like for this algorithm it will fail. I know this is sort of a strange type of sort, but it is practice for a test, so thanks for any input.

Using GNU Octave FFT functions

Hello world! I'm playing with octave's fft functions, and I can't really figure out how to scale their output: I use the following (very short) code to approximate a function: function y = f(x) y = x .^ 2; endfunction; X=[-4096:4095]/64; Y = f(X); # plot(X, Y); F = fft(Y); S = [0:2047]/2048; function points = approximate(input, count) size = size(input)(2); fourier = [fft(input)(1:count) zeros(1, size-count)]; points = ifft(fourier); endfunction; Y = f(X); plot(X, Y, X, approximate(Y, 10)); Basically, what it does is take a function, compute the image of an interval, fft-it, then keep a few harmonics, and ifft the result. Yet I get a plot that is vertically compressed (the vertical scale of the output is wrong). Any ideas? Thanks!

How to inherit from a non-prototype object

The node-binary binary parser builds its object with the following pattern: exports.parse = function parse (buffer) { var self = {...} self.tap = function (cb) {...}; self.into = function (key, cb) {...}; ... return self; }; How do I inherit my own, enlightened parser from this? Is this pattern designed intentionally to make inheritance awkward? How can we change views in a UISplitViewController other than using the popover and selecting?

I have done a sample app with UISplitViewController studying the example they have provided. I have created three detailviews and have configured them to change by the default means. Either using the left/master view in landscape AND using the popover in the portrait orientation. Now I am trying to move to another view(previous/next) from the currentView by using left/right swipe in each view. For that, what I did was just created a function in the RootViewController. I copy-pasted the same code as that of the tablerow selection used by the popover from the RootViewController. I am calling this function from my current view's controller and is passing the respective index of the view(to be displayed next) from the current view. Function is being called but nothing is happening. Plz help me OR is anyother way to do it other than this complex step? Silverlight Async Design Pattern Issue

I'm in the middle of a Silverlight application and I have a function which needs to call a webservice and using the result complete the rest of the function. My issue is that I would have normally done a synchronous web service call got the result and using that carried on with the function. As Silverlight doesn't support synchronous web service calls without additional custom classes to mimic it, I figure it would be best to go with the flow of async rather than fight it. So my question relates around whats the best design pattern for working with async calls in program flow. In the following example I want to use the myFunction TypeId parameter depending on the return value of the web service call. But I don't want to call the web service until this function is called. What's the best practice to setup testing for ASP.Net MVC? What to use/process/etc?

hi there, i'm trying to learn how to properly setup testing for an ASP.Net MVC. and from what i've been reading here and there thus far, the definition of legacy code kind of piques my interests, where it mentions that legacy codes are any codes without unit tests. so i did my project in a hurry not having the time to properly setup unit tests for the app and i'm still learning how to properly do TDD and unit testing at the same time. then i came upon selenium IDE/RC and was using it to test on the browser end. it was during that time too that i came upon the concept of integration testing, so from my understanding it seems that unit testing should be done to define the test and basic assumptions of each function, and if the function is dependent on something else, that something else needs to be mocked so that the tests is always singular and can be run fast. Questions: so am i right to say that the project should have started with unit test with proper mocks using something like rhino mocks. then anything else which requires 3rd party dll, database data access etc to be done via integration testing using selenium? because i have a function which calls a third party dll, i'm not sure whether to write a unit test in nunit to just instantiate the object and pass it some dummy data which breaks the mocking part to test it or just cover that part in my selenium integration testing when i submit my forms and call the dll. and for user acceptance tests, is it safe to say we can just use selenium again? Am i missing something or is there a better way/framework? i'm trying to put in more tests for regression testing, and to ensure that nothing breaks when we put in new features. i also like the idea of TDD because it helps to better define the function, sort of like a meta documentation. thanks!! hope this question isn't too subjective because i need it for my case.

How to use pure in D 2.0

While playing around with D 2.0 I found the following problem: Example 1: pure string[] run1() { string[] msg; msg ~= "Test"; msg ~= "this."; return msg; } This compiles and works as expected. When I try to wrap the string array in a class I find I can not get this to work: class TestPure { string[] msg; void addMsg( string s ) { msg ~= s; } }; pure TestPure run2() { TestPure t = new TestPure(); t.addMsg("Test"); t.addMsg("this."); return t; } This code will not compile because the addMsg function is impure. I can not make that function pure since it alters the TestPure object. Am i missing something? Or is this a limitation? The following does compile: pure TestPure run3() { TestPure t = new TestPure(); t.msg ~= "Test"; t.msg ~= "this."; return t; } Would the ~= operator not been implemented as a impure function of the msg array? How come the compiler does not complain about that in the run1 function?

returning autorelease NSString still causes memory leaks

I have a simple function that returns an NSString after decoding it. I use it a lot throughout my application, and it appears to create a memory leak (according to "leaks" tool) every time I use it. Leaks tells me the problem is on the line where I alloc the NSString that I am going to return, even though I autorelease it. Here is the function: -(NSString *) decodeValue { NSString *newString; newString = [self stringByReplacingOccurrencesOfString:@"#" withString:@"$"]; NSData *stateData = [NSData dataWithBase64EncodedString:newString]; NSString *convertState = [[[NSString alloc] initWithData:stateData encoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding] autorelease]; return convertState; } My understanding of [autorelease] is that it should be used in exactly this way... where I want to hold onto the object just long enough to return it in my function and then let the object be autoreleased later. So I believe I can use this function through code like this without manually releasing anything: NSString *myDecodedString = [myString decodeValue]; But this process is reporting leaks and I don't understand how to change it to avoid the leaks. What am I doing wrong?

Problem with using malloc in link lists (urgent ! help please)

I've been working on this program for five months now. Its a real time application of a sensor network. I create several link lists during the life of the program and Im using malloc for creating a new node in the link. What happens is that the program suddenly stops or goes crazy and restarts. Im using AVR and the microcontroller is ATMEGA 1281. After a lot of debugging I figured out that that the malloc is causing the problem. I do not free the memory after exiting the function that creates a new link so Im guessing that this is eventually causing the heap memory to overflow or something like that. Now if I use the free() function to deallocate the memory at the end of the function using malloc, the program just gets stuck when the control reaches free(). Is this because the memory becomes too clustered after calling free() ? I also create reference tables for example if 'head' is a new link list and I create another list called current and make it equal to head. table *head; table *current = head; After the end of the function if I use free free(current); current = NULL: Then the program gets stuck here. I dont know what to do. What am I doing wrong? Is there a way to increase the size of the heap memory Please help...

Form submitted via dialog opens dialog again

I have a form in a jquerymobile dialog box that I am submitting via jQuery Ajax. Currently my problem is that once the form is submitted the same dialog box is opened again on top of the original dialogbox. So that my url reads before submission: url/index.php#&ui-state=dialog and then after submission: url/index.php#&ui-state=dialog#&ui-state=dialog&ui-state=dialog Has anyone ever encountered something like this before? Hello all, I'm trying to load an aspx page using Iframe in VB.net. Hey I have a script that is creating and echoing a JSON encoded array of magento products. I have a script that calls this script using jQuery's ajax function but I'm not getting a proper response.
