    Do you know of any text editor that can be used with a spell checker which is smart enough to ignore XHML/CSS and javascript tags? The requirements would be: It must run in Linux; It must be free and open source; It doesn't need to have WYSIWYG capabilities, but they would be welcome. It must have built in "tag skipping" capabilities or be configurable to skip (X)HTML tags, CSS and embedded Javascript; It doesn't need to have a HTML validator, but if it does it will be a plus; I've tried to use spell checker plugins for Kate, HTML validators for Firefox, Eclipse's HTML editor, but I couldn't find a solution that have a speel checker that ignores hml tags.     This Excel template is really cool. There are a lot of things in it I don't know how to do, such as: Having header rows that "stick" to the top even when you scroll down Slider on the first page changes where the chart pulls its data from Functions seem to be referring to named ranges in tables, like =SUM([nov]). Where do those names come from? Clicking "back to overview" on the "Budget" page returns you to the "Dashboard" page The number under "starting balance" of the top right corner of "Budget" changes when you change cell C5 On "Budget", each cell in the first column of each table has a drop-down menu for text, which seems to come from the "Setup" page The background isn't just plain white, but when I try to format paint it onto a new sheet, nothing happens If you know how any of these effects are achieved, I'm definitely curious. But I guess the main point of my question is where I can go to answer these questions for myself. Are templates explained anywhere?

( I am using Syncfusion Ribbon Control ). I want that each enum type like ( OneType ) has data template defined that has Name of the menu and corrospending image. How can I define the data template of enum ? Please suggest me the solution, if this is possible !! Please also tell me if its not possible or I am thinking in the wrong direction !!

  • Can a Flash-based CFGRID render basic HTML in the cells?

    (I'm very new to both Flex and CF -- more a .NET/ExtJS guy, so I'm a duck out of water.) I'm tweaking someone else's CFGRID code. It uses Flash format--HTML isn't an option since it would require redesigning the entire interface around the grid. Tha data I want to put in the grid have some very simple HTML elements-- <sub>, <sup>, and HTML entities like &deg;. I can imagine <i> or <b> might be there in the future. How can I tell a particular CFGRIDCOLUMN to render its contents as HTML? I've heard this is possible, but Google is not my friend tonight. Stuck with CF7 for a few more weeks, so if there are any CF8/CF9-specific solutions, please let me know those as well, but that won't help my immediate need.

  • How to check if an apply-template filled variable is a string or (possibly) empty node in XSLT?

    I need a test which would evaluate to true in two cases: There is a string inside which contains any non white space characters There is any node (which can be possibly empty) on a variable that is filled with apply-template call result. I tried test="normalize-space($var)" but this doesn't cover the empty tag possibility. I also tried simply this: test="$var" but this evaluate to true even for white space only strings. By the way "$var/*" produces an error "Expression ...something I don't remember... node-set" which is I think because of apply-template variable instantiation. Is there any (which means even multi level decision) solution for this? EDIT: I forgot to say that it's for XSLT 1.0 and preferably without any exslt extensions or similar.

    Is there a simple solution to do the equivalent of Java's comments: <%-- this is a comment inside a template, it does not appear in the output HTML --%> Even if you use short php tags, you still have to wrap the comments with comment syntax, on top of the php tags: <? /* this is a comment of the html template */ ?> I'm considering doing some kind of filter on the output templates, to remove all html comments, or better yet, custom comments like the Java syntax above, but how would you do that in the most efficient way? You'd have to run a regexp right? The reason for my question is simply that in a MVC framrwork, using components, and re-usable html templates (think YUI), I need to document clearly those templates, in a readable way..

  • ipad dev - in the UISplitViewController template, how is the method setDetailItem called?

    I am developing an ipad app which has a UISplitViewController. (I use IB to build the interface, but I do not use the template) Both master and detail (left and right) views are navigationController. The left view subclass UITableView and the right view should push another controller if the cell on the left is selected. I don't know how to make my detail view responds to my master view. Also, in the template, the detailViewController has a id detailItem and a method setDetailItem. How are these two connected? I cannot see any connection between but setDetailItem is called when detailViewController.detailItem is being called. Thanks in advance.

  • What would I use to remove escaped html from large sets of data.

    Our database is filled with articles retrieved from RSS feeds. I was unsure of what data I would be getting, and how much filtering was already setup (WP-O-Matic Wordpress plugin using the SimplePie library). This plugin does some basic encoding before insertion using Wordpress's built in post insert function which also does some filtering. I've figured out most of the filters before insertion, but now I have whacko data that I need to remove. This is an example of whacko data that I have data in one field which the content I want in the front, but this part removed which is at the end: <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/SoundOnTheSound?i=xFxEpT2Add0:xFbIkwGc-fk:V_sGLiPBpWU" border="0"></img> <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/SoundOnTheSound?d=qj6IDK7rITs" border="0"></img> &lt;img src=&quot;http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/SoundOnTheSound?i=xFxEpT2Add0:xFbIkwGc-fk:D7DqB2pKExk&quot; Notice how some of the images are escape and some aren't. I believe this has to do with the last part being cut off so as to be unrecognizable as an html tag, which then caused it to be html endcoded. Another field has only this which is now filtered before insertion, but I have to get rid of the others: &lt;img src=&quot;http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2183/2289902369_1d95bcdb85.jpg&quot; alt=&quot;post_img&quot; width=&quot;80&quot; (all examples are on one line, but broken up for readability) Question: What is the best way to work with the above escaped html (or portion of an html tag)? I can do it in Perl, PHP, SQL, Ruby, and even Python. I believe Perl to be the best at text parsing, so that's why I used the Perl tag. And PHP times out on large database operations, so that's pretty much out unless I wanted to do batch processing and what not. PS One of the nice things about using Wordpress's insert post function, is that if you use php's strip_tags function to strip out all html, insert post function will insert <p> at the paragraph points.     Hi, I have a url and I want to retrieve the html dom generated when going to the url (all the code for the page) in a javascript variable. How can I do this? I'm guessing an html get or post? Can anyone give an example with jQuery? Every time I do a $.get or $.post like this: $.get("http://www.google.ca", function(result) { alert(result); alert($(result).html()); }); $.post("http://www.google.ca", function(result) { alert(result); alert($(result).html()); }, "xml"); the first alert in each call comes up blank and the second comes up as null. When using {{ form.email }} in case of some validation error, django still renders the previous value in the input tag's value attribute: <input type="text" id="id_email" maxlength="75" class="required" value="[email protected]" name="email"> I want to render the input tag myself (to add some javascript code and an error class in case of an error). For example this is my template instead of {{ form.email }}: <input type="text" autocomplete="on" id="id_email" name="email" class="email {% if form.email.errors %}error{% endif %}"> However this does not display the errorneous value ("[email protected]" in this example) to the user. How do I get the field's value in the template?

  • Google App Engine with local Django 1.1 gets Intermittent Failures

    I'm using the Windows Launcher development environment for Google App Engine. I have downloaded Django 1.1.2 source, and un-tarrred the "django" subdirectory to live within my application directory (a peer of app.yaml) At the top of each .py source file, I do this: import settings import os os.environ["DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE"] = 'settings' In my file settings.py (which lives at the root of the app directory, as well), I do this: DEBUG = True TEMPLATE_DIRS = ('html') INSTALLED_APPS = ('filters') import os os.environ["DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE"] = 'settings' from google.appengine.dist import use_library use_library('django', '1.1') from django.template import loader Yes, this looks a bit like overkill, doesn't it? I only use django.template. I don't explicitly use any other part of django. However, intermittently I get one of two errors: 1) Django complains that DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE is not defined. 2) Django complains that common.html (a template I'm extending in other templates) doesn't exist. 95% of the time, these errors are not encountered, and they randomly just start happening. Once in that state, the local server seems "wedged" and re-booting it generally fixes it. What's causing this to happen, and what can I do about it? How can I even debug it? All templates live in a directory named "html" in my root directory, and "html/common.html" exists. I know the template engine finds them, because I start out with "html/edit_budget.html" which extends common.html. It looks as if the settings module somehow isn't applied (because that's what adds html to the search path for templates).

  • What does Rails script/server -d do differently that would cause a cells template to not be found

    I'm using cells. I used the generator to create a cell so the path to my template was automatically chosen to be app/cells/displayer/table.html.erb where displayer is the name of the cell and table is the name of the state. When I run script/server in the foreground, everything works perfectly. But when I run script/server -d, I get "Missing template displayer/table.erb in view path app/cells:app/cells/layouts". Even if I change table.html.erb to table.erb, I see the same message - the ActionView code is checking both but not finding either. Even if you're not familiar with cells, does anyone know what happens differently in daemon mode related to view paths? In this case, it appears that the plugin is not correctly registering the view path.

  • Why Date Format in ASP NET MVC Differs when used inside Html Helper?

    Hi, I just came across a very interesting issue. If I use ViewData to pass a DateTime value to the view and then display it inside a textbox, even though I'm using String.Format in the exact same manner, I get different formatting results when using the Html.TextBox helper. <%= Html.TextBox("datefilter", String.Format("{0:d}", ViewData["datefilter"]))%> <input id="test" name="test" type="text" value="<%: String.Format("{0:d}", ViewData["datefilter"]) %>" /> The above code renders the following html: <input id="datefilter" name="datefilter" type="text" value="2010-06-18" /> <input id="test" name="test" type="text" value="18/06/2010" /> Notice how the fist line that uses the Html helper produces the date format in one way while the second one produces a very different output. Any ideas why? Note: I'm currently in Brazil, so the standard short date format here is dd/MM/yyyy.

  • How do you post content to a specific template position?

    I can't figure this out. I purchased a template / theme from RocketTheme, but I can't figure out how to add content at a specific position. The templates have "module positions" that collapse. I'd like to add some content at one of the module positions. If I add articles, they seem to go into "mainbody". But I'd like to have content in other areas of the template. How do I take some text, images, or other content, and get them to display in these other positions (i.e., TOP-A, or FEATURE-A, etc)?
