• PHP-REGEX: accented letters matches non-accented ones, and visceversa. How to achive it?

  I want to do the typical higlight code. So I have something like: $valor = preg_replace("/(".$_REQUEST['txt_search'].")/iu", "<span style='background-color:yellow; font-weight:bold;'>\\1</span>", $valor); Now, the request word could be something like "josé". And with it, I want "jose" or "JOSÉ" or "José" or ... highlighted too. With this expression, if I write "josé", it matches "josé" and "JOSÉ" (and all the case variants). It always matches the accented variants only. If I search "jose", it matches "JOSE", "jose", "Jose"... but not the accented ones. So I've partially what I want, cause I have case insensitive on accented and non-accented separately. I need it fully combined, wich means accent (unicode) insensitive, so I can search "jose", and highlight "josé", "josÉ", "José", "JOSE", "JOSÉ", "JoSé", ... I don't want to do a replace of accents on the word, cause when I print it on screen I need to see the real word as it comes. Any ideas? Thanks!

• jackson failing to map empty array with No content to map to Object due to end of input

  I send a query to an api and map the json results to my classes using Jackson. When I get some results it works fine, but when there are no results it fails with java.io.EOFException: No content to map to Object due to end of input at org.codehaus.jackson.map.ObjectMapper._initForReading(ObjectMapper.java:2766) at org.codehaus.jackson.map.ObjectMapper._readMapAndClose(ObjectMapper.java:2709) at org.codehaus.jackson.map.ObjectMapper.readValue(ObjectMapper.java:1854) at com.jthink.discogs.query.DiscogsServerQuery.mapQuery(DiscogsServerQuery.java:382) at com.jthink.discogs.query.SearchQuery.mapQuery(SearchQuery.java:37)* But the thing is the api isn't returning nothing at all, so I dont see why it is failing. • Is there a way to set access to WMI using GroupPolicy?

  From various documentation it appears that to change WMI access you need to use WMI to access the running service and modify specific parts of the tree. Its kind of annoying changing 150,000 hosts using the UI. And then having to include such changes in the process of adding new hosts. Could write a script to do the same, but that needs to either connect to all those machines live, or be distributed for later update say in an startup/install script. And then you have to mess around with copying binary SD data from an example access control. I've also found you can change the wbem/*.mof file to include an SDDL but I'm really vague on how that all works at the moment. Am I just missing some point of simple administration?

  How do I escape ampersands in a batch file (or from the Windows command line) in order to use the start command to open web pages with ampersands in the URL? Double quotes will not work with start; this starts a new command line window instead. Update 1: Wael Dalloul's solution works. In addition, if there are URL encoded characters (e.g. space is encoded as %20) in the URL and it is in a batch file then '%' must be encoded as '%%'. This is not the case in the example. Example, from the command line (CMD.EXE): start http://www.google.com/search?client=opera&rls=en&q=escape+ampersand&sourceid=opera&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8 will result in http://www.google.com/search?client=opera being opened in the default browser and these errors in the command line window: 'rls' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. Some type of AJAX caching? C. Adding some type of delay to only submit .AJAX() when the person has stopped typing for 300ms or so?

• How do you keep the text selection on a DataGridView?

  I'm running C# 2.0, and I've written an application with a DataGridView in virtualmode and a TreeView in the same form, but in different panels of a SplitContainer. My application has a "find all" function that finds all instances of a certain string, and adds them as the child nodes to a new node to the TreeView (it's a tree view because you can have multiple search results by having different root nodes). That idea is that when you click on one of those search results in the TreeView, that it would select the specific text of that result in the DataGridView (Virtually the same as Notepad++'s find all function) When I click on the TreeView, it does set the selected cell of the DataGridView and highlight the specific text, but it loses that specific text selection instantly (but keeps the cell selection) because by clicking on the TreeView the DataGridView loses focus. • Ubuntu - Create a link to a specified directory so I can easily change to that directory

  Is it possible to create a symlink to a directory, like /var/lib/tomcat6/webapps/MyWar that I can access from everywhere? I want to be able to say cd myapp from anywhere in the directory tree and go to that directory. Is it only possible in the directory where I create the symlink? Do I have to update my ~/.bashrc file to include an alias like: alias myapp="cd /var/lib/tomcat6/webapps/MyWar" and then just type myapp from anywhere? What is the best way to handle this situation so I don't always have to type in the long directory? I also want to be able to use that parameter in say a copy command, so the alias wouldn't help in that situation. Hopefully I can do something similar where ~ maps to the home directory in any command.

• How to use the Request URL/URL Rewriting For Localization in ASP.NET - Using an HTTP Module or Globa

  I wanted to see if there is a way to use the request URL/URL rewriting to set the language a page is rendered in by examining a portion of the URL in ASP.NET. We have a site that already works with ASP.NET’s resource localization and user’s can change the language that they see pages/resources on the site in, however the current mechanism in not very search engine friendly since the language variations for each language all appear as one page. It would be much better if we could have pages like www.site.com/en-mx/realfolder/realpage.aspx that allow linking to culture specific versions of a page. I know lots of people have likely done localization through URL structures before and I wanted to know if one of your could share how to do this in the Global.asax file or with an HTTP Module (pointing to links to blog postings would be great too). We have a restriction that the site is based on ASP.NET 2.0 (so we can't used the 3.5+ features yet). Here is the example scenario: A real page exits at: www.site.com/realfolder/realpage.aspx The page has a mechanism for the user to change the language it is displayed in via a dropdown. There are search engine optimization and user links sharing benefits to doing this since people can link directly to a page that has content that is applicable to a certain language (this could also include right-to-left layouts for languages like Japanese). I would like to use an HTTP module to see if the first part of the URL after www.site.com, site.com, subdomain.site.com, etc. contains a valid culture code (e.g. en-us, es-mx) then use that value to set the localization culture of the page/resources based on that URL. So if the user accesses the URL www.site.com/en-MX/realfolder/realpage.aspx Then the page will render in Mexico’s variant of Spanish. If the user goes to www.site.com/realfolder/realpage.aspx directly the page would just use their browser’s language settings.

• Problems installing Ruby 1.9.2 and rvm on Debian Lenny

  I have currently have Ruby 1.9.1 (bad) and want to install 1.9.3 under rvm. However, rvm requirements gives a long list: install build-essential openssl libreadline6 libreadline6-dev curl git-core zlib1g zlib1g-dev libssl-dev libyaml-dev libsqlite3-dev sqlite3 libxml2-dev libxslt-dev autoconf libc6-dev ncurses-dev automake libtool bison subversion But I've hit a problem here: /# apt-get install libreadline6 Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done E: Couldn't find package libreadline6 ...and (I imagine after just hunting down a Debian source to download curl) finding these packages isn't going to be a picnic. Given that there are few packages to install before I can get rvm to install Ruby 1.9.3, what's a good way forward? My sources.list: deb http://archive.debian.org/debian/ lenny main contrib

• Regex issue with comma's telling me there are 6 args, instead of intended 4

  I have a scenario outline table that looks like the following: Scenario Outline: Verify Full ad details Given I am on the xxx classified home page And I have entered <headline> in the search field & clicked on search When I click on full details Then I should see <headline> <year> <mileage> <price> displaying correctly and successfully Examples: |headline |year |mileage |price | |alfa romeo 166 |2005 |73,000 |6,990 | When I run my scenario it spits out that I have 6 args. But what I thought, I should only have 4 args: headline, year, mileage and price. I am thinking that it is taking the comma's and what is before and after it as two seperate args. Is there any way that I can make cucumber think that there are only 4 args with the example below? I have looked at messing around with regex but I dont seem to be getting anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

• How to I display results of phpcs in VIM?

  I am presently trying to use PHP Codesniffer (PEAR) in vim for PHP Files. I have found 2 sites that give code to add into the $HOME/.vim/plugin/phpcs.vim file. I have added the code and I "think" it is working, but I cannot see the results, I only see one line at the very bottom of vim that says (1 of 32) but I cannot see any of the 32 errors. • How can I extend this SQL query to find the k nearest neighbors?

  I have a database full of two-dimensional data - points on a map. Each record has a field of the geometry type. What I need to be able to do is pass a point to a stored procedure which returns the k nearest points (k would also be passed to the sproc, but that's easy). I've found a query at http://blogs.msdn.com/isaac/archive/2008/10/23/nearest-neighbors.aspx which gets the single nearest neighbour, but I can't figure how to extend it to find the k nearest neighbours. This is the current query - T is the table, g is the geometry field, @x is the point to search around, Numbers is a table with integers 1 to n: DECLARE @start FLOAT = 1000; WITH NearestPoints AS ( SELECT TOP(1) WITH TIES *, T.g.STDistance(@x) AS dist FROM Numbers JOIN T WITH(INDEX(spatial_index)) ON T.g.STDistance(@x) < @start*POWER(2,Numbers.n) ORDER BY n ) SELECT TOP(1) * FROM NearestPoints ORDER BY n, dist The inner query selects the nearest non-empty region and the outer query then selects the top result from that region; the outer query can easily be changed to (e.g.) SELECT TOP(20), but if the nearest region only contains one result, you're stuck with that. I figure I probably need to recursively search for the first region containing k records, but without using a table variable (which would cause maintenance problems as you have to create the table structure and it's liable to change - there're lots of fields), I can't see how.

• Execute javascript on IIS server

  I have the following situation. A customer uses JavaScript with jQuery to create a complex website. We would like to use JavaScript and jQuery on the server (IIS) for the following reasons: Skills transfer - we would like to use JavaScript and jQuery on the server and not have to use eg VB Script. / classic asp. .Net framework/Java etc is ruled out because of this. Improved options for search/accessibility. We would like to be able to use jQuery as a templating system, but this isn't viable for search engines and users with js turned off - unless we can selectively run this code on the server. There is significant investment in IIS and Windows Server, so changing that is not an option. I know you can run jScript on IIS using windows Script host, but am unsure of the scalability and the process surrounding this. I am also unsure whether this would have access to the DOM. Here is a diagram that hopefully explains the situation. I was wondering if anyone has done anything similar?

• Public folder emails not being delivered

  Hello, We have just introduced an Exchange 2010 installation into our existing Exchange 2003 (all standard) environment. We make a lot of use of our Public Folders in 2003, so I am wanting to make a small PF tree in the 2010 system to test some applications against. I have created a few public folders in the 2010 public folder management tool, and mail enabled them, gotten email addresses, etc. However, mail will not be delivered, it queues on my existing 2003 Exchange server's 'Local Delivery' queue, and eventually times out and bounces. I guess the Exchange 'system' including the new 2010 server thinks that all public folder email must need to be delivered to the old 2003 server. Is it possible for me to have two public folder databases that each receive mail? If so, is there something I am missing to enable this? Thanks -R

  With Netbeans I've succeded center a jpanel with fixed size, within an other jpanel. Now I can't repeat it - only copy it. How did I do? (or should I do to center x and y a jpanel with fixed size in another jpanel). • Hadoop Map/Reduce - simple use example to do the following...

  I have MySQL database, where I store the following BLOB (which contains JSON object) and ID (for this JSON object). JSON object contains a lot of different information. Say, "city:Los Angeles" and "state:California". There are about 500k of such records for now, but they are growing. And each JSON object is quite big. My goal is to do searches (real-time) in MySQL database. Say, I want to search for all JSON objects which have "state" to "California" and "city" to "San Francisco". I want to utilize Hadoop for the task. My idea is that there will be "job", which takes chunks of, say, 100 records (rows) from MySQL, verifies them according to the given search criteria, returns those (ID's) which qualify. Pros/cons? I understand that one might think that I should utilize simple SQL power for that, but the thing is that JSON object structure is pretty "heavy", if I put it as SQL schemas, there will be at least 3-5 tables joins, which (I tried, really) creates quite a headache, and building all the right indexes eats RAM faster than I one can think. ;-) And even then, every SQL query has to be analyzed to be utilizing the indexes, otherwise with full scan it literally is a pain. And with such structure we have the only way "up" is just with vertical scaling. But I am not sure it's the best option for me, as I see how JSON objects will grow (the data structure), and I see that the number of them will grow too. :-) Help? Can somebody point me to simple examples of how this can be done? Does it make sense at all? Am I missing something important? Thank you.

  i've just started using a new ec2 install of ubuntu karmic 9.10 and my first task was to install the jdk. when running apt-get install sun-java6-jdk i get the following: Reading package lists...
