    Hi, i have a wcf service which runs perfectly on my dev machine (vs2010, target 3.5) but once deployed, it shows me the code behind of the service (actually the plain text of the .svc file) and not the normal service page: <%@ ServiceHost Language="C#" Debug="true" Service="SilverlightPoc.Web.FinanceData" CodeBehind="FinanceData.svc.cs" %> Anyone any idea why the .svc file is rendered as plain text and not as wcf service?

    I thought that in GO language, slices are passed by reference. But why the following code doesn't change the content of slice c? Am I missing something?     What exactly does setting the length on a column do in JPA? @Column(name = "middle_name", nullable = false, length = 32) public String getMiddleName() { return this.middleName; } I understand that you can use the annotations to generate the database schema based on the entity objects, but does length do any sort of check or truncation when persistence happens, or it solely used for schema creation? I also realize that JPA can sit on top of various implementations, the implementation I am concerned with in this case, is Hibernate.

    I want to organize my c++ variables and functions in the following way: function prototypes in a header file "stuff.h", function implementation in "stuff.cpp", then say #include "stuff.h" in main.cpp (so I can call functions implemented in stuff.cpp). So far so good. Now I want to declare some variables in stuff.cpp that have global scope (so I can modify the variables in functions implemented in stuff.cpp and main.cpp). This doesn't seem to work. How can I do this?

    I'm hosting my own svn repository on ubuntu 8.04. Is there a way for svn to send emails to team members whenever a commit has happened? If coding is required, the only language I'm able to use on a linux server is PHP. So I could write a php script to be triggered by svn. Can anyone tell me how to hook up my php script to an svn commit? Or is there another way to do this?
