• How to convert SSRS 2008 Server reports to SSRS 2008 Client Reports

  I have a large SSRS 2008 Server Report Project (more than 200 reports). Currently my companystrategy has been changed and we want to convert these server reports to client reports. All of the Server reports uses Storeprocedures (or in some cases from the SQl Functions) All of them work properly andthere is no problem Beause of project scale it is not a good idea to create all of server reports in client again. SO I want to check How to convert SSRS 2008 Server reports to SSRS 2008 Client Reports? RDL to RDLC. Note : I knowthat Client reports use Dataset And I have to create Dataset. I'm also looking for a way to generate these dataset too.but for now I'm just looking for a way to convert RDL files to RDLC files. If there are anyApplication which can convert RDL XML to RDLC XML let me know. Any help appriciate.

• Is there a dojo enhanced grid example with context menu

  I am looking for an example of a dojo enhanced grid that contains a context menu on either a cell or row menu where the cell or row data is accessed. I have managed to create an enhanced grid with a row context menu. I can create a function that captures the event of clicking on the row menu item. However, I am not sure how to access the row data in the context of the menu item handler. I have not seen any example in the tests of the nightly build. Is there an example of this available online?

  Hi All, I tried to create linq-to-sqlite dbml using DbLinq but in vain. Each time I get different type of errors. May be I'm somewhere wrong. Can anyone tell me the step by step procedure to create the dbml file from the Dblinq source code. Edit: Steps I Followed: I downloaded the source file from this link. Edited the "run_sqliteMetal.bat" file in \\DbLinq-0.19\src\DbMetal folder as 'DbMetal.exe -database:myDb.db3 -namespace:myNS -code:myCode.cs' -dbml:myDbml.dbml Tried to run the DbMetal project file to produce the executable but there was a runtime error since Options object in Parameters.cs was null. Hence downloaded the readymade exe file from this location Copied it into the \DbLinq-0.19\src\DbMetal folder Executed the "run_sqliteMetal.bat" file I got a blank screen and Windows Error Msg "DbLinq has stopped Working" Any help? • Binding not writing to datasource on .NET Compact Framework Form -- works on Full Framework

  I have a problem with a bound user control writing back to it's datasource on a NetCF forms application. The application is too complex to post code, so I made a toy version to show you. I create a form, usercontrol with a combobox, a class (testBind) and another class (TestLookup). I bind a property of the usercontrol ("value") to a property ("selectedValue") on the testBind class. The testBind class implements INotifyPropertyChanged. I create a few fascade methods on the user control to bind the contained combobox to a BindingList(of TestLookup). I create a button to show the value of the testBind bound property (in a MessageBox). The messagebox returns "-1" every time regardless of the combobox entry selected. I can take the EXACT same code, paste it in a full framework Forms app and it will return the correct value of the selected combobox entry. • Custom NSStatusItem with custom view - Use NSWindow, NSView, custom NSMenuItem?

  I'm trying to create a LSUIElement app that behaves like Spotlight, CoverSutra and other apps of that type. I managed to create a custom NSStatusItem, which popups up an NSWindow but the problem is that the app that currently has focus will the focus to my custom NSWindow. I've based myself on Matt Gemmell's example (http://mattgemmell.com/2008/03/04/using-maattachedwindow-with-an-nsstatusitem) For example, if you're in Safari and click on the Spotlight icon, the current Safari window does not gray out and keeps focused. When you press ESC in Spotlight, the focus is back to the Safari window. I haven't managed to do this with my custom NSWindow. I have to click back on a window to set focus back to it. So I'd like to know which route to go to achieve this. Is the solution a NSWindow, NSPanel, NSMenu with a custom NSMenuItem?

  My application only very occasionally requires privilege elevation... I need to reference some 3rd party COM components that only work correctly when run as administrator. I would like my application to request privilege elevation only when it needs it... Generally, I don't want my application to run as administrator unless I need to use the 3rd party COM components. I see that CoCreateAsAdmin could potentially solve the problem, but the component author doesn't set up the required registry entries, and I'm not sure how to use CoCreateAsAdmin in C# and in conjuction with Runtime-Callable-Wrapper that is created by tlbimp. Another solution would be to spawn another process, but I have no experience with this yet... I don't want to create a completely separate application... I would be happy to create an assembly that runs in a separated elevated process if someone can show me how to make it work. Thanks...

• Nullable One To One Relationships with Integer Keys in LINQ-to-SQL

  I have two objects (Foo and Bar) that have a one-to-zero-or-one relationship between them. So, Foo has a nullable foreign key reference to Bar.ID and a (nullbusted) unique index to enforce the "1" side. Bar.ID is an int, and so Foo.BarID is a nullable int. The problem occurs in the LINQ-to-SQL DBML mapping of .NET types to SQL datatypes. Since int is not a nullable type in .NET, it gets wrapped in a Nullable<int>. However, this is not the same type as int, and so Visual Studio gives me this error message when I try to create the OneToOne Association between them: Cannot create an association "Bar_Foo". Properties do not have matching types: "ID", "BarID". Is there a way around this?

  Hello all, I am architecting a software project and I want to create a SAAS (Software As a service) one. I want to model my application along the lines of Salesforce. I really like there customization features but I am not sure how they really go about it. I read that they create an ID for every field that is required and then store the corresponding data too. Can anyone guide me as to how this is possible. For example, if I want to store an employee record. 2 fields (firstname, lastname) are already given and the user adds a third field(say DOB), how is data going to be stored? I use a "Set role 'GRANTED_ROLE' identified by 'password'" statment and Cn.Execute statement to set up the user's access rights. This is all done in a Module. On a form, I want to call a Stored Procedure that will SELECT, INSERT and UPDATE information into another schema's tables. The answer lies in web.config. There is a new http module added to modules collection in ASP.NET MVC projects So basically an mvc application is implemented as an HTTPModule or at least the url routing portion of an mvc app? Would it be possible for one to create and register a custom routing module and then possibly create their own micro mvc framework like Sinatra in Ruby or Slim in PHP?

Although similar to the discussion at this SO conversation, my situation is slightly different: My server returns the pk of the new record and additional information that is to be associated with the new record in the grid. My server returns the following: {'success':true,'message':'Created Quote','data': [{'id':'610'}, {'quoteNumber':'1'}]} Where id is the PK for the record in the mysql database. quoteNumber is a db generated value that needs to be added to the created record.   Hi All, I am trying to play video files from iPhone media player in my iphone application.I am reading the stream from one Media server. but i am getting error message as "The server is not configured correctly". Here is my observation: - I kept five different video files on server.(i am sure that all of these files are properly encoded and in right format.) - When i try to run same video URL in Mobile Safari i works perfectly without any error. - When i try to run any of video it doesn't create any stream on media server.(Usually when i try to play video it create stream on media server.but here the stream is not created on server side.) - I tried to play this files using Apple's sample application MoviePlayer but i am facing same issue.(Here i tried to run the application on Simulator) I also checked on my iphone 2G having OS 3.1.2 (jailbreak) but i face same issue.   Hello, I am using windows script host for some kind of installer application and I'm creating shortcuts in start menu with it. This problem came up when I switched to x64 environment (win7 ultimate x64+vs2010) I added a reference to Windows Script Host Object Model (from c:\windows\syswow64\wshom.ocx), it generated Interop.IWshRuntimeLibrary dll. I added 'using IWshRuntimeLibrary;' to my .cs files, but when I tried to create WshShell sh = new WshShellClass(); it throws an exception: Could not load file or assembly 'Interop.IWshRuntimeLibrary, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. I assume that I would need 64-bit version of that wshom.ocx for this to work, but I don't know what should I try. Or I'll just dump Windows Script stuff, but I need another way to create start menu shortcuts from .net application. Thanks
