  in my cms i have index.php, where client must enter username and password. if they are correct, he'll moove to admin.php, where the cms is. but now hacker can enter to cms/admin.php, so my security now is awful. i know, that i can use $_SESSION variable. index.php - i can give some value to $_SESSION['error']: $_SESSION['error'] = TRUE, and in admin.php just verify it admin.php if($_SESSION['error'] == TRUE) { my script here... } else header("Location: index.php"); but i want to rich this effect without SESSION. could you give me an idea, how can i do it? thanks

However I need a way in code to check the extension of the file, and display the correct Image and xsl:attribute depending on the If statement.   This is a general type question that I dont know what code I could post that would help get an answer. So I apologize in advance, but if some piece of code would help, please let me know and Ill add it. The question is, how do I confirm that a pdf loaded in a web browser when using Ruby/Cucumber/Watir Webdriver? My test clicks on a random link that should load a pdf in a new browser window, so I cant check the url because it will vary with each test. Any ideas how I can make sure the correct pdf loads after clicking the link that should load it?

  I would like to delete all the rows found by that query: SELECT cart_abandon.* FROM cart_abandon, cart_product, txn_product, users WHERE cart_abandon.cartid = cart_product.cartid AND cart_product.productid = txn_product.productid AND txn_product.username = users.username AND users.id = cart_abandon.userid AND txn_product.txndate >= cart_abandon.abandondate The thing to keep in mind is that the query here uses 4 different tables, however I only want to delete rows from 1 table (cart_abandon). Is there an easy way to do that? Maybe this: ? Now my query is that irrespective of ValidateValue() returning true/false __doPostBack('ApplyBtn','') function is not showing any effect for me. My understanding is that string passed to onclick acts like function body, and return will from first function will return control preventing second function from execution. Is that correct ? Please provide helpful inputs.

  I need to compare (actually rank/sort) dates in a PHP script. The dates are ISO-8601 Date format i.e. YYYY-MM-DD I wrote a comparison function which splits the dates and compares by year/month/day. However, it seems this may be overkill and I could just as easily done a simple string comparison like: if ($date1 < $date2) // do something elseif( $date1 > $date2) //do something else else //do yet another thing Is my assumption about (ISO-8601) Date string comparison correct - i.e. can I get rid of my function (to save a few clock cycles on the server), or is it safer to explicity do the comparison in a custom function?

  Reading a book I have found the following statement: (Object) Behaviors answer either of two questions: What does this object do (for me)? or What can I do to this object? In the case of an orange, it doesn’t do a whole lot, but we can do things to it. One behavior is that it can be eaten. In my understanding of object behaviour the statement above is correct regarding the first question and is incorrect in case of the second. However, I often see classes with methods like Orange::eat(), and this makes me uncertain about my design skills. So I would like to ask is it a design mistake to give oranges a behaviour eat? (oranges and eat are used just for example)

  Hi All I am trying to create a scikit.timeseries object starting from 2 datetime objects. If I understood correctly it should be possible to create a scikits.timeseries starting from datetime objects. I try the following code but it says that Insufficient parameters. The 2 datetime differs for few microseconds. In this case what should be the value for freq parameter? Is what I am trying allowed? In theory, since timeseries can be based on datetime objects it should be possible to hanlde up to microsecond , is this correct? I think that this is not really clear to me. • UITableViewCell and strange behaviour in grouped UITableView

  I'm working on a grouped UITableView, with 4 sections with one row per section, and have a strange behaviour with the cells. The cells are plain UITableViewCells, but the height of the cells are around 60 - 80 pixel. Now the tableview renders the cells correct with round corners, but when I select the cells, they appear blue and recangle. I don't know why the cells behave like this, because I have another grouped UITableView with custom cells and 88 pixel height and those cells work like they should. If I change the height to the default height of 44 pixel, the cells behave like the should. Does anyone know about this behaviour and what the cause is? Like I mentioned, I don't do any fancy stuff I use default UITableViewCells in a static, grouped UITableView with 4 sections with 1 row in each section. evangelion2100

• If don't own proprietary database engine, what is best way to convert database to mysql?

  I work for a very small company. I was recently faced with the question of whether there is a good way to convert a proprietary database to a MySQL database without owning the proprietary database engine e.g. if one is given a large oracle database file (or choose your favorite proprietary database engine format), but doesn't have a license for the oracle database engine, is there a good, perfectly reliable way to convert it to a MySQL database format that can be read with the MySQL database engine? My question is very vague as to which proprietary format is the source just because there would be multiple sources and it looks like they would be "various and sundry". My suspicion is that there is no perfectly reliable way, especially for a wide variety of proprietary databases. If there are a few proprietary formats for which this is possible, I would still be interested in knowing, though "various and sundry" is probably the real issue. Minimizing cost, effort and correct conversion are key so I think this is probably is the not possible list. -John

Now, I need to take this text and word-wrap it in JavaScript in some efficient but correct manner. (Because I need to make each line start with "" in a textarea.) Browsers have an implementation of the Unicode Word Wrap algorithm, as is evidenced by word-wrapping Unicode text in a with CSS. (At least, Firefox has such an algorithm, and I suspect other browsers do as well.) What I need is some way for JavaScript to use the same word-wrapping algorithm, so that I can properly wrap and then "quote" Unicode text. Is there any way for JavaScript to use the browser's word-wrapping algorithm, or to know where text has been line-broken in a div or any other element?

I have a list of users that I'm trying to display in a table using <s:iterator value="users" id="list"> <tr> <td><s:property value="#list.username" /></td> <td></td> <td></td> <td></td> </tr> </s:iterator> The rows are being displayed the right number of times, so it's iterating through my list properly. However, I don't know how to access the username property to display it. Obviously what I have above isn't correct... Any ideas?

  Hi, I've got a Flex 3 project. Flex makes an ExternalCall to some Javascript. The Javascript is then turned into XML. But, my xml isn't parsing in IE. It works in all other browsers. I think that the problem is that I haven't set the XML's content-type and IE doesn't like that. • What about the Sql transaction log

  Hi, i always thought that the sql transaction log keeps track of all the transactions done in the database so it could help recovering the database file in case of a unexpected power down or something like that So then, in normal usage, when the data is committed and written to disk, it is cleared because all the data is nice and safe in the mdf file. Seeing the ldf file grow and reading some i understand that that is not the case, and it will keep growing, until: you shrink the log. Only at that point all the commited transactions are cleared and the log file is shrinked. I found some sp's who should do this, but also found the theory that you first have to backup the database? That last step doesn't make sense to me, so can anyone tell me of that is correct and if so, why that is?

  I've download a trial of Altova UModel and am starting using UML. As a practical beginning I am modelling a personal information manager application, which includes a web bookmark managing. A Bookmark can belong to many (or no) Tags at once and a Tag can contain many (or no if all the bookmarks it contained were deleted) bookmarks. The relation has to be both-way navigable - a user has to be able to see all Bookmarks with a particular Tags ans all Tags of a Bookmark. What is the correct UML relation between Bookmark and Tag classes? As far as I understand UML now, it is an Association (not an Aggregation). But for a 2-way navigable many-to-many relation I can specify ends roles as "memberEnd" or "when navigableOwnedEnd", graphically the connection looks the same in both cases (an arrow) (which as I understand means navigability) but a property appears in the class box in case only when "memberEnd" is used. How should I specif it in the model If I mean both-way navigable many-to-many relation there?

  I'm working on a program that determines if lines intersect. I'm using matrices to do this. I understand all the math concepts, but I'm new to Python and NumPy. I want to add my slope variables and yint variables to a new matrix. They are all floats. I can't seem to figure out the correct format for entering them. Here's an example: import numpy as np x = 2 y = 5 w = 9 z = 12 I understand that if I were to just be entering the raw numbers, it would look something like this: matr = np.matrix('2 5; 9 12') My goal, though, is to enter the variable names instead of the ints.
