  • Paging To The End Of A Data View Web Part

    Hi all! Hopefully you can help me with this. I've displayed an Announcement web part on a page with 20 items. I opened up SharePoint Designer 2007 and set the paging to 6 items. I've added a little bit of (OOB) functionality so that I have buttons for START, PREVIOUS, and NEXT. These work well without any problems but I'm wondering how do I get END to work? I tried using the $LastRow & $RealLastRow values supplied by the web part but those just give me the number of how many items are in the current view, not the total items in the list. Little help!

  • Font Size Based on Char or Number Data

    I am trying to find a way to display numerical digits as a larger font size than chars on a website (not my idea!). The reason for this is to make the numbers stand out. I have looked for a font that would satisfy this without coding but I could not find any. Also, I don't want to slow down the website by having the font coverted to an image. Does anyone have a solution to this ridiculous problem?

  • Would my situation be an appropriate place to use the ' /i ' REGEX attribute?

    I am making a large catalogue of all of the possible OS names that can be supported by my particular version of VMWare. Originally I was writing them all as they stood in the VMX files but then I found a website that had them all listed, the problem is they are not properly cased to provide a "perfect" match, would this be the perfect time to use the regex attribute for case insensitivity? Also as a side question, would it be possibly extract the list of OSs from the website?. They look to be in a HTML formated chart. It would save me a lot of time having to type them all out.

  • algorithm to combine data for linear fit?

    I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask this, but you guys have been helpful with plenty of my CS homework in the past so I figure I'll give it a shot. I'm looking for an algorithm to blindly combine several dependent variables into an index that produces the best linear fit with an external variable. Basically, it would combine the dependent variables using different mathematical operators, include or not include each one, etc. until an index is developed that best correlates with my external variable. Has anyone seen/heard of something like this before? Even if you could point me in the right direction or to the right place to ask, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

    What I would really like is a streaming API that works sort of like StAX, and sort of like DOM/JDom. It would be streaming in the sense that it would be very lazy and not read things in until needed. It would also be streaming in the sense that it would read everything forwards (but not backwards).     I'm having trouble with a simple table edit in a Winform application. I must have missed a step. I have a DataSet containing a DataTable connected to a database with a SqlDataAdapter. There is a SqlCommandBuilder on the SqlDataAdapter. On the form, there are TextBoxes which are bound to the DataTable. The binding was done in the Designer and it machine-produced statements like this: this.tbLast.DataBindings.Add(new System.Windows.Forms.Binding("Text", this.belkData, "belk_mem.last", true)); When I fill the row in the DataTable, the values from the database appear in the textboxes, but when I change contents of the TextBox, the changes are apparently not being going to the DataTable. When I try to save change both of the following return null: DataTable dtChanges = dtMem.GetChanges(); DataSet dsChanges = belkData.GetChanges(); What did I forget?     Imagine I have an entity called Product and a repository for it: public class Product { public int Id { get; set; } public bool IsHidden { get; set; } } public class ProductRepository { public ObservableCollection<Product> AllProducts { get; set; } public ObservableCollection<Product> HiddenProducts { get; set; } } All products contains every single Product in the database, while HiddenProducts must only contain those, whose IsHidden == true. I wrote the type as ObservableCollection<Product>, but it does not have to be that. The goal is to have HiddenProducts collection be like a proxy to AllProducts with filtering capabilities and for it to refresh every time when IsHidden attribute of a Product is changed. Is there a normal way to do this? Or maybe my logic is wrong and this could be done is a better way?

  • Joomla! 2.5 use login data from another database

    I have a hard question. I'd like the joomla login does not use its own database for users/password but I want to use my database users with my table fields, my passwords etc.. I don't know from where start, I thought I could edit database request for login to my db or create a little script to automatically add the users on joomla database. I tried to see components/com_users/views/login/tmpl/default_login.php but it seems that there is nothing. Can someone help me figure out what to change? Maybe the simple thing is import my database users into database user joomla, is there any plugin or something else that you know? p.s. I use Clarion theme build on Gantry framework, Joomla! 2.5.6 Stable, PHP 5.2.17
