  Hi, I have 2 page controls in my app, one for category and when i click details button of that category other page control comes. I have pushed the first view controller and used present modal view controller. Now a need to go back to the home page from the category page control but the view did load and view will appear wont work. That is where i have added my navigation bar programmatically. is there any way i can call them? i am new to iphone programming. Please help me if you can.... Thankyou

  I'm writing a test app using the twitter gem and I'd like to write an integration test but I can't figure out how to mock the objects in the Twitter namespace. • Next/Last word with Netbeans in Mac OSX

  I've just switched to Mac OSX from Ubuntu. The development on Mac OSX using Netbeans is really a joy (of hell, though) I don't know how to go to next word, last word using keyboard. In windows or ubuntu, this should be Ctrl+Left/Right, but definely not in Mac. In Mac, such key combinations result in go to begin/end of line. Futhermore, the use of Home and End is for something else, not go to begin/end of line (What a cool hell). Is there another key combination? I prefer default key settings, please. I'm sick of going around with custom script.

  Hi everybody. I'm trying to make a tabbed menu for the asp.net website I'm working on. One of the pre-requisite is obviously to color the current tab differently, so the user can know on which tab is currently is. • Analyzing CPU usage of an iOS application

  I'm working on an application that constructs springboard like interface (like iPhone's home screen). I have multiple pages, and each page contains many subviews. Each subview is able to detect touch and hold event. Once a touch and hold event is recognized, all the subviews start to wobble. One of the problems that i'm facing is that the CPU usage shoots to 99%, when the subviews are in wobble state, and i change the page. Instruments has a tool by the name of "CPU Sampler". I'm unable to find good set of documentation for this tool. I don't know how to read the output generated by this tool. Can anyone give me a small tutorial or guidelines? Can i check which piece of code is responsible for the CPU activity?

• Best means to store data locally when offline

  I am in the midst of writing a small program (more to experiment with vs 2010 than anything else) Despite being an experiment it has some practical use for our local athletics club. My thought was to access the DB (currently online) to download the current members and store locally on a laptop (this is a MS sql table, used to power the club's website). take the laptop to the event (yes there ARE places that don't have internet coverage), add members to that days race (also a row from a sql table (though no changes would be made to this), record results (new records in 3rd table) Once home, showered and within internet access again, upload/edit the tables as per the race results/member changes etc. So I was thinking i'd do something like write xml files locally with the data, including a field to indicate changes etc? If anyone can point me in a direction i would appreciate it...hell if anyone could tell me if this has a name, I'd appreciate it.

  I'm writing an extension for chrome as "Content script". My extension should change the background color of google home page (https://www.google.com) I wrote this code (including jquery): $(".gsib_a").style="background:#FF0000"; But not worked. I'm sure I added jQuery to content script, and the manifest.json file is set. I am sure because this code works: $(".gsib_a").hide(); And I am sure changing style of the element with class of gsib_a is exactly what I need and affects. Because I've tested it by Chrome Developer Tools. Okay, who knows the problem?

• What do you enjoy about programming?

  Some of us here(or is it just me?) enjoy programming. Even if we're not being paid for it, and in some cases, even though the end result will not do anything for us. For example, many people do the Project Euler problems just for fun, and in the end nothing was really "accomplished" materially. What is it that makes us enjoy programming? How is programming different from another job? You don't see an accountant going home to do some accounting on their own time just for the pure joy of it. How are we different? (also, if anyone has some ideas on how to tag this, then please do correct it for me.. )

• Loading an XML file with todays date in the filename... need to fallback to old file if one with tod

Using javascript/jQuery I am currently loading in an XML file that has a file name such as carousel_large_2010-06-08.xml.. the way I am doing it is checked for todays date then grabbing a file that has that date in the filename... the issue is sometimes they wont be uploading a new file for a given day so it needs to fallback to a older date that exists.. Wondering how to do it? • Slow Client connection blocks Mongrel

  I have a Apache + Haproxy + Mongrel setup for my rails application. When I hit a particular server page, mongrel takes around 100ms to process the request and I get the page in around 5 secs due to data transmission time on my slow home connection. Now I see that during these 5 secs of data transmission, mongrel does not serve any other request. I am surprised as that means mongrel is serving the response html to the client and is blocked till the client receives it. Shouldn't serving response be the job of Apache? This puts serious bottleneck in the no of requests Mongrel can serve as that would depend on the speed of the client connection. Is there any way that html generated by mongrel is served by apache/haproxy or any other web server like nginx? I wonder how the other high traffic sites are managing it?

  Hello, I created java enterprise application and it consists of ejb module and web application. I have plain old xml file in source packages folder in package "common" in my ejb module. I want to pass this file path in File() constructor for one class in ejb module. How do i do it? If i pass any of the below it doesn't work :- new File("abc.xml"); //this take file from glassfish/domains/domain1 :( new File("./abc.xml"); I don't want to pass hardcode path like /home/administrator/appname/module/etc.. I want the path relative from my ejb module. Please help me. I've tried all things. Actually when i created a class in same folder and then try classname.getResource("abc.xml").getPath() it works fine. But what if i don't have any class in that folder. Waiting for your replies

When I see, Home page, on my local machine, in the content area of my page it shows me IMAGE on the right as I want to see. But, When I see that page on my remote machine It shows my IMAGE on the left, instead of right side.   I have developed a web project using PowerBuilder V12.0 and it is published in ASP.net web file formats (*.aspx). I have hosted my web project on a web server machine with operating system (Windows Server 2003 - Enterprise Edition) and IIS V6.0 as Web Server Hosting Application. I would like to make the home page (Default.aspx) opened maximized so that no internet toolbars appears in the Internet Explorere or any other internet browser like Firefox and so on. It seems this is a web server configuration and setting as now I host the same web application in two development web servers and it opens maximized in one of them and opens normal in the other so No changes are needed in the web project files. I do not know exactly what is this option or configuration,, Is there a property like window size or width and height in web configuration files like web.config and machine.config ? I guess there is a property like WindowSize:Maximized. If you had experience with that before please let me know the options and configurations needed to do that. Thanks for your help.

  I have a template that gets screenscraped from an outside vendor and need to include absolute paths in the navigation so the externally hosted content will properly link back to our site. Right now the page/template is driven by a global menu app written by our back end development staff... so anyone who updates our site goes in and changes the menus and their paths... Right now all of the links are linking to relative paths back to the root. For example <a href="/">Home</a> <a href="/news/">News</a> <a href="/media/">Media</a> <a href="/other/">Other</a> I need a simple way (preferably with jquery) to prepend "http://www.domain.com" to each of those links.

  Hi all, got a weird problem for you: I've set up an svn server on a home machine, which is accessible to the members of my game team over DynDNS. So far so good- everyone was able to checkout the repo no problem. In addition, several team members and I were able to update and commit just fine. The conundrum is this: One of my team members, who is able to both checkout and commit, is unable to update. TortoiseSVN proffers: Error Could not open the requested SVN filesystem Has anyone dealt with this problem before? This isn't my first SVN rodeo, but I have to admit I'm stumped. Thanks!

  Let say here is my stack layout View3 --> Top of the stack View2 View1 HomeView --> Bottom of the stack So I am in View3 now, if I click the Home button, I want to load HomeView, meaning that I need to pop View3, View2, and View1. But if I pop View3, View2 will be displayed. I dont want that. I want View3, View2, and View1 be removed, and HomeView will be displayed. Any idea how?
