• Can one edit an InstallShield setup.exe's manifest file?

  I'm running into the Windows Vista/7 Program Compatibility Assistant problem described here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1069135/this-program-might-not-have-installed-correctly-message-in-windows-7-rc The solution (backed-up by similar questions elsewhere, and MSDN), is apparently to add a 'compatibility' section to setup.exe's manifest. InstallShield 10 SP1 does this automatically, but unfortunately I only have InstallShield 2009. How would I go about editing the manifest? Is there a way to do this programmatically, so I can integrate it into my build?

  Taking over some code from my predecessor and I found a query that uses the Like operator: SELECT * FROM suppliers WHERE supplier_name like '%'+name+%'; Trying to avoid SQL Injection problem and parameterize this but I am not quite sure how this would be accomplished. Any suggestions ? note, I need a solution for classic ADO.NET - I don't really have the go-ahead to switch this code over to something like LINQ.

• Is it possible to programmatically edit a sound file based on frequency?

  Just wondering if it's possible to go through a flac, mp3, wav, etc file and edit portions, or the entire file by removing sections based on a specific frequency range? So for example, I have a recording of a friend reciting a poem with a few percussion instruments in the background. Could I write a C program that goes through the entire file and cuts out everything except the vocals (human voice frequency ranges from 85-255 Hz, from what I've been reading)?   I have a folder(/MyFolder/) with a dedicated web.config in it that does an impersonating In that folder I have an asp.net file that use Microsoft report viewer 8.0 named MyReport.aspx When I view this folder on my machine, it's working perfectly without issue When I publish my project to the dev server and I'm trying to view the report, I have an issue where the the user that run IIS doesn't have access to something, (rsAccessDenied) Can asp.net routing cause this issue? (I'm not at work right now so I can only go by memory so it will be hard to provide more information)

  Is it possible to define a class with specific style attributes dynamically with jQuery, rather than setting the style of all elements with that class? I could set the attributes of the class at the end of the script once all the elements have been created, but is that the best way to go about it? If I define the style of the class with $('.class').css('property','value'); at the beginning of the script, nothing would happen because the elements with class .class haven't been created yet, right?

  Is there a way for a jQuery function to "skip" an li? Such as Having 3 list items, you click on the 1st one, it calls a next() function, and skips the 2nd li and goes to the 3rd. Current code is here: $('ul.gallery li').click(function() { $(window).scrollTo($(this).next('li'), 800, {easing:'easeOutCirc', axis:'x', offset:-50 } ); }); I want it to skip the immediate li and go to the one after that.

  In my routes.rb I have this: map.namespace :admin do |admin| admin.resources :galleries do |galleries| galleries.resources :gallery_images, :as=>'images' end end rake routes shows the route created like this: admin_gallery GET /admin/galleries/:id and when I go to this url in my browser: http://192.168.2.2:3000/admin/galleries/11/ I get this error: Unknown action No action responded to 11 But I would have expected it to use the show action/view, what am I doing wrong?

  I have a tab-bar controller that loads a RootView. The RootView has 4 buttons that will load a UITableView I don't want my tab-bar to be visible in the RootView so I added the following code: -(void)viewDidLoad{ self.hidesBottomBarWhenPushed = YES; } When I initially load the app the tab-bar doesn't appear, but when I click on a button, and go back to the RootView the tab-bar still appears. I have tried placing this code in viewWillAppear and other application lifecycle methods but no luck.

  All tests should be run with jUnit3, if i run a non-configured Test, it tries to use the default-TestRunner (jUnit4). So, i have to go into the run/debug configuration, change the TestRunner to "jUnit3" and run it again. On EVERY Test. This just disturbs the workflow. So, is there an option to REMOVE jUnit4 as possible TestRunner, or even better, change the Default TestRunner to jUnit3 ? Thanks in Advance,

  I have the situation in the following image: How would I go about resizing the widget when the retry child is hidden so that it looks as in the first image? The main layout is a QVBoxLayout, the retry child is a widget with a QVBoxLayout as well. I've tried the following: update() updateGeometry() setGeometry(childrenRect()) layout()-activate() on the main widget as soon as I've set the retry widget to hidden. Do I need to intercept some event to do this?

But this is not working becouse sum works with numbers not strings. If i go with lookup, it works with strings but finds only first line, not all lines. Do you have an Idea on how to fix this issue?
