• Very interesting problem in Compact Framework

  Hi, i have a performance problem while inserting data to sqlce.I'm reading string and making inserts to My tables.In LU_MAM table,i insert 1000 records withing 8 seconds.After Mam tables i make some inserts but my largest table is CR_MUS.When i want to insert record into CR_MUS,it takes too much time.CR_MUS has 2000 records and insert takes 35 seconds.What can be reason?I use same logic in my insert functions.Do u have any idea?I use VS 2008 sp1. • Writing language converter in ANTLR

  I'm writing a converter between some dialects of the same programming language. I've found a grammar on the net - it's complex and handles all the cases. Now I'm trying to write the appropriate actions. Most of the input is just going to be rewritten to output. What I need to do is parse function calls, do my magic (rename function, reorder arguments, etc) and write it. I'm using AST as output. When I come across a function call, I build a custom object structure (from classes defined in my target language), call the appropriate function and I have a string that represents the transformed function that I want to get. The problem is, what I'm supposed to do with that string? I'd like to replace the .text attribute of the enclosing rule, but setText() is only available on lexer rules and the rule's .text attribute is read-only.   I have a scenario where i show stuff like: ----------------------------------- titleview (UITextView) ______________ tArea (UIScrollView) ttextview (UITextView) ----------------------------------- Now here is the condition: Length of titleview's text is dynamic, varies based on user input. Because of the condition I have trouble placing tArea e.g. UIScrollView on the screen, it either appears way too below than the titleview, or overlaps it. Previously what i did: Count the number of characters in titleview.text.length and divide them by 27 (e.g. characters in one line when using boldSystemFontOfSize:20) and multiply by 10 to get the starting X of tArea e.g. UIScrollView. But that sucked. Because i had to duplicate code for rotation to landscape.   I want to execute a build.xml (Ant buildfile) from using GMaven (Maven Plugin for inline executing of Groovy in a POM). Since I have to execute the buildfile several times using the maven-antrun-plugin is not an option at the moment. I take a list of properties (environment and machine names) from an xml file and want to execute ant builds for each of those machines. I found the executeTarget method in the javadocs but not how to set the location of the buildfile. How can I do that - and is this enough?   Hey there, i have some issues with Coda Slider and Fancybox. I use Fancybox to load an external Site within an Iframe and Coda Slider is for the Content Slider on the Startpage. If i have the jquery-easing Plugin called in my Head fpr the Coda Slider, the Fancybox doesn't work.   Hi, Looking over some older code, I've run into a strange namespace error. Let's say I have two projects, HelperProject and WebProject. The full namespace of each - as given in application properties - is myEmployer.HelperProject and myEmployer.Web.WebProject. The pages in the web project are full of statements that use classes from the helper project. There are no imports/using statements but there is a reference to the helper project added in the bin. A few example lines might be: myEmployer.HelperProject.StringHelper.GetFixedLengthText(Text, "", Me.Width, 11) myEmploter.HelperProject.Utils.StringHelper.EstimatePixelLength(Text, 11) However every line that is written in this manner is throwing the error 'HelperProject' is not a member of 'myEmployer'. If you declare the statements like this: HelperProject.StringHelper.GetFixedLengthText(Text, "", Me.Width, 11) HelperProject.Utils.StringHelper.EstimatePixelLength(Text, 11) Everything seems fine. In the solution object browser and the bin folder, HelperProject appears with its full namespace, myEmployer.HelperProject. I don't want to have to change all the statements, and besides I suspect this is masking a more fundamental problem here. But I have no idea what's going on. Can anyone offer any pointers please? • Horizontally and Vertically Center Modal Div IE Issue

  I'm trying to horizontally and vertically center a modal window inside a div. I want it to be cross browser compatible. You can see from the picture below that when I resize IE8 then click, "show modal" button it displays not exactly horizontally centered. This does not seem to be an issue with Chrome. Any thoughts? • jQueryUI Slider handle not moving

  I'm trying to implement a jQuery slider with increments. I've gone from, the actual project page, to a test page of the project with just the slider, to just the slider. In all cases I've been unable to get the handle to move. It also seems to have a width of 1px or similar.   I have a table which has two text boxes and a image beside it to click and open a popup. In read-only mode based on condition I am able to make text boxes read-only but images are not becoming read-only.One solution I had is the anchor tag associated with image calls for JavaScript where I can check for a dummy click when it is in read-only mode. The problem here is the function is common and effects everywhere. So is there a way to make the entire table read-only so that no extra workaround needs to done.   The tags might not be accurate since I am not sure where the problem is. Initially, I had a typo in the function 'foo', where I was passing the variable 'line' to writeResults instead of 'text'. 'line' is not defined in the function foo, it's defined in the main block, so I should have seen an error, but instead, it worked fine, except that the data was appended to the file multiple times, instead of being written just once, which is the required behavior, which I got when I fixed the typo. My question is, 1) Why didn't I get an error? 2) Why was the writeResults function being called multiple times?

  I have a ListBox which uses a DataTemplate to render databound items. All of this works as I'd expect, except when you click on any of the rendered ListBox items. When you click one, there is only the slightest sign of the selection coloring (the default bluish color). I can see a trace bit of it underneath my gradient-brushed item. If I reset the background brush to "no brush" then the selection rendering works properly. If I set the background brush to a solid color, it also fails to render as I'd expect. How can I get the selection coloring to be on top? What is trumping the selection rendering?

• Get Chinese Romanization from Google Translate API

  I'm selecting table data of the current user: SELECT [ConfidenceLevel], [LoveLevel], [HappinessLevel] FROM [UserData] WHERE ([UserProfileID] = @UserProfileID) I have set a control to the unique user ID and it is getting the correct value: HTML: <asp:Label ID="userID" runat="server" Text="Labeluser"></asp:Label> C#: userID.Text = Membership.GetUser().ProviderUserKey.ToString(); I then use it in the where clause using the Configure Data Source window unique ID = control then controlID userID (fills in .text for me) I compile and run but nothing shows up where the table should be. Any suggestions? EX: local\MyUser domain\MyUser Both return the name from AD even if the one from local isn't a domain account. It would be perfect if I could search in LDAP for domainuser, but it seems I can't. I also tried to restrict the DC with the DirectorySearcher but the domain name is "domain", but I only have "dc=dom" and "dc=com" and no DC for full domain name.

• How can I optimize this or is there a better way to do it?(HTML Syntax Highlighter)

  Hello every one, I have made a HTML syntax highlighter in C# and it works great, but there's one problem. First off It runs pretty fast because it syntax highlights line by line, but when I paste more than one line of code or open a file I have to highlight the whole file which can take up to a minute for a file with only 150 lines of code. I tried just highlighting visible lines in the richtextbox but then when I try to scroll I can't it to highlight the new visible text.   Hello everyone, Trying to run a time consuming task from a wxpython GUI. The basic idea is to start the long time task from the GUI (pressing a button) and then, a static text on the dialog should be updated from it. First I tried some threading (http://wiki.wxpython.org/LongRunningTasks and many other resourses seen), and I want to show back the messages using Publisher.class. It didn't went so well, after a message or two, the GUI seems to frozen. Now I want to achieve that with multiprocessing.
