    Hello i have a large database where the client stores personal messages and fire email notifications [if allowed by the users]. certain users have the option of sending messages to their entire network of friends. some users have over 5000 friends in their network so if they select the whole network they'll be sending messages to over 5000 friends and system will store all the messages into a table. the problem is this that it does not insert more than 1000 records and ignores all inserts after the first 1000. i have increased the packet size, bulk_insert_buffer_size but still no luck. since the system stores some of the info in another table for reports, every insert returns its new message id. due to this i can not use the "insert into table (column1,column2) values (value1,value2) , (value1,value2)....etc." table engine is innodb, mysql version is 5.1.3 and is hosted on amazon web services. all i want is to fix this issue of inserting more than 1000 records at a time. as mentioned earlier, it works fine but only up to 1000 records and simply ignores all the records after that. i'm using php foreach(){} to insert message for each friend and if email is available, send notification to the user. this foreach(){} also inserts the same record in another table [with only 3 columns] for generating reports. thank you in advance for all the help and support. These contacts may not exist in any other address book, just the distribution list. Currently they show up just as an email address (in both columns).   • PHP mail function, some clients aren't showing my mails as html?

    I'm trying to send emails to my website members using the mail() function with PHP, The mails are in hebrew, and I want to send an html email, That's pretty much how I send it $mail_to = "[email protected]"; $message = " <html> some content here </html> "; $headers = "MIME-Version: 1.0" . "\r\n"; $headers .= "Content-type:text/html;charset=windows-1255" . "\r\n"; $headers .= 'From: "MyWebsiteName" <[email protected]>' . "\r\n"; $mail = mail($mail_to, $subject, $message, $headers ); It works completely fine with clients such as Gmail, or thunderbird users, but I viewed it in a few other clients, that aren't so famous, but still widely used in my country, and it just shows me the html source.. I'll also add that I've seen other mails in those clients that are working fine, so they are supporting html mails. What am I doing wrong?

    I've developed a small SMS utility for a customer in PHP. The details are of non-importance. This project is hosted in: http://project.example.com/customer1 Now a second customer requests almost the same functionality, one cheap way of providing this is to copy the project from the first customer and modify it slightly. So i made a direct copy of the project for customer1 to another folder for customer 2. This project is hosted in: http://project.example.com/customer2 Now when i try and run the project for customer2 (calling a single page), i get the error message: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class SmsService in /var/www/html/project/customer1/application/service.class.php on line 3 Here, service.class.php is a simple interface with 3 methods: interface SmsService { public function SendSms($mobile, $customerId, $customerName, $message); public function QueryIncomingResponse(); public function CleanExpiredConfirmations($maxConfirmationDays); } printing the backtrace in service.class.php reveals something interresting: #0 require_once() called at [/var/www/html/project/customer2/endpoint/queryIncomingResponse.php:2] Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class SmsService in /var/www/html/project/customer1/application/service.class.php on line 3 Line 2 in queryIncomingResponses is the very first require line there is. Line 3 in service.class.php is the first statement there is in the file (Line 2 is an empty line and line 1 is the php file opening tag). Naturally, I only work with relative requires (double checked this) so there is no way one include/require from customer2 actually refers to a file for customer1. It seems to me that in some way SmsService and other classes gets cached by PHP. (I have little control over the server environment). One solution to this would be namespaces. Unfortunatly, we work with PHP 5.1.7 where namespaces are not a part of the language feature just yet. Another way would be to mimic namespaces by prefixing all classes but this approach just feels dirty. Does anyone have more information on this problem and possibly solutions?     Hello, I'm making a script to to run a bunch of multicast asr streams, but I do not know how to "stop" or "end" a multicast asr stream after a certain amount of time. Loop Suspend does not do what I'm looking for. I've also tried to add a sleep command followed by a kill command, but they kick in after the stream ends (so that approach does not work). Thanks for any possible help! By the way, I'm writing this script in bash.

    I'm new to PHP and MySQL I want a user to be able to store multiple names and there meanings in a MySQL database tables named names using PHP I will dynamically create form fields with JQuery every time a user clicks on a link so a user can enter 1 to 1,000,000 different names and there meanings which will be stored in a table called names. Since I asked my last question I figured out how to store my values from my form using the for loop but every time I loop my values when I add one or more dynamic fields the second form field named meaning will not save the value entered also my dynamic form fields keep looping doubling, tripling and so on the entered values into the database it all depends on how many form fields are added dynamically. I was wondering how can I fix these problems? On a side note I replaced the query with echo's to see the values that are being entered.     Is there a way to run a loop through a folder and process like 30 files for a month and give the average,max of each columns and write in one excel sheet or so?? I have 30 files of size [43200 x 30] I ran a different matlab scrip to generate them so the names are easy File_2010_04_01.xls , File_2010_04_02.xls ..... and so on I cannot merge them as each are 20mbs and matlab would crash.
