    Hi All, In regards to the order of execution of statements in SQL, is there any difference between the following performance wise? SELECT * FROM Persons WHERE UserType = 'Manager' AND LastName IN ('Hansen','Pettersen') And: SELECT * FROM Persons WHERE LastName IN ('Hansen','Pettersen') AND UserType = 'Manager' If there is any difference, is there perhaps a link etc. that you may have where one can learn more about this?   • Insert into a star-schema

    I've read a lot about star-schema's, about fact/deminsion tables, select statements to quickly report data, however the matter of data entry into a star-schema seems aloof to me. How does one "theoretically" enter data into a star-schema db? while maintaining the fact table. Is a series of INSERT INTO statement within giant stored proc with 20 params my only option (and how to populate the fact table). Many thanks.

The current version of log4postsharp uses Postsharp 1.0 which has some limitations. Does anyone know if there is somewhere a compiled version of log4postsharp that uses Postsharp 1.5 available?

    Hi, is it possible to use the fetch_all(), fetch_assoc() etc. from the the MySQLi_Result class with a prepared statement from the MySQLi_STMT class? I've done it using the query() method in the Mysqli class (and by escaping trough mysqli_real_escape_string()), but not using statements with binding parameters. I'm considering using PDO thanks!

    Hello, I have been looking for an alternative to Hibernate for various reasons. I came across Liquibase and i like the idea so i am willing to try it. Liquibase will cater for database creation/modification in a SQL independent fashion. My main question is how does my code in my application execute SQL statements without being database dependent?     This question is along the same lines as What are some funny loading statements to keep my users amused, I want screenshots of all the coolest "error" pages site's throw up when something's broken. I know pandora.com talks about a panda ravaging it's way through the office, twitter's has the little birds floating around or something, sourceforge had one with some funny robots the other day.
