  • Import external dll based on 64bit or 32bit OS

    I have a dll that comes in both 32bit and 64bit version. My .NET WinForm is configured for "Any CPU" and my boss will not let us have separate installs for the different OS versions. So I am wondering: if I package both dlls in the install, then is there a way to have the WinForm determine if its 64bit/32bit and load the proper dll. I found this article for determining version. But i am not sure how to inject the proper way to define the DLLImport attribute on the methods i wish to use. Any ideas?

  • Sharepoint AD imported users are becomming sporadically corrupted, causing us to have to create a new account

    Sharepoint 2007 MOSS with AD imported users. All servers are 2008. ***UPDATE More details in testing. This Sharepoint is in an AD Child domain (clients.mycompany.local), which is sub to the root of the AD tree (mycompany.local). The user is in the parent tree (as are half of the other functional users. I have elevated the user rights to Domain. In looking at the logs, it seems that the Sharepoint server is trying to authenticate them by querying the DC for the clients domain (which is the way it normally works and still works for all existing identically configured users). I think if I could force it to authenticate up to the top domain DC then it would be ok?? I have around 50 users, over the past 2 months, I have had a handful of the users suddenly unable to login to Sharepoint. When they login, they either get a blank screen or they are repropmted. These users are using accounts that have been used for many months, sometimes the problem originates with a password change. In all cases, the users account works on every other Active Directory authenticated resource (domain, exchange, LDAP). In the most recent case, last night I was forced deleted a user ("John smith") because of corruption. The orifinal account name was jsmith. I deleted him from active directory, then deleted him from the profile list in Sharepoint Shared Services. I could not find a way to delete him from the Sharepoint user list, but I reran the import after recreating his account (renamed it too just to be sure to "smithj"). At first, this did not wor, the user could still access all other resources but Sharepoint. then, some 30 minutes later it inexplicably started working. This morning, the user changed passwords, which immediatly broke the login on Sharepoint again.   • Translate google co-ordinates to the pixels on picture.

    I have a city "map" (for example - Moscow). She in accuracy repeats the contours the given city in google maps (that is it is copied from google maps and it is a little processed, but the sense remained the same). Also I have object co-ordinates in a city (in co-ordinates of google). Problem: how to translate google co-ordinates to the co-ordinates of my picture (that is in pixels on OX and OY on a picture). That is I receive google-co-ordinates and it is necessary for me to draw this point on my picture. I know that on small scales (for example on city scales) it to make simply enough (it is necessary to learn what google-co-ordinates has one of picture corners, then to learn "price" of one pixel in google-co-ordinates on a picture on axes OX and OY separately). But on the big scales (country scale) "price" of one pixel will be not a constant, and will vary strongly enough and the method described above cannot be applied. How to solve a problem on country scales?

  • NSSegmentedControl -selectedSegment always returns 0

    I have an NSSegmentedControl with two segments set to "Select None" mode in Interface Builder. No matter what I try, I can't get -selectedSegment to return anything but 0, even though segment 0 is even disabled by default and can't possibly be selected.   • HTML Tidy in NetBeans IDE (Part 2)

    This is what I was aiming for in the previous blog entry: What you can see above (especially if you click to enlarge it) is that I have HTML Tidy integrated into the NetBeans analyzer functionality, which is pluggable from 7.2 onwards. Well, if you set an implementation dependency on "Static Analysis Core", since it's not an official API yet. Also, the scopes of the analyzer functionality are not pluggable. That means you can 'only' set the analyzer's scope to one or more projects, one or more packages, or one or more files. Not one or more folders, which means you can't have a bunch off HTML files in a folder that you access via the Favorites window and then run the analyzer on that folder (or on multiple folders). Thus, to try out my new code, I had to put some HTML files into a package inside a Java application. Then I chose that package as the scope of the analyzer. Then I ran all the analyzers (i.e., standard NetBeans Java hints, FindBugs, as well as my HTML Tidy extension) on that package. The screenshot above is the result.   • Problem compiling hive with ant

    I compiling with Solaris 10 SPARC, jdk 1.6 from Sun, Ant 1.7.1 from OpenCSW. I have no problem running hadoop 0.17.2.1 However, I have problem compiling/integrating hive with the error 'cannot find symbol', although I followed the tutorial. I have the hive source code from SVN exactly from tutorial. How can I know the hive version I compiling and how can I compile against hadoop 0.17.2.1? Please advice.     Hello, I recently started with Magento and decided to migrate Interspire shopping cart I already made time ago to it. At first look Magento seems a very huge beast - lots of options, maybe lack of simplicity resulting in some performance loss. I've got user guide from which I am not getting much of benefit since there're just descriptions of very ordinary tasks that I could easily discover myself by poking around frontend/backend. So my first tasks are category and product export. Interspire seems to be exporting ONLY products in three available formats: Default MYOB Peachtree accounting I did some searching on Magento's product importing and found a blog post which says that I should create a few sample products with all the necessary attributes myself and then start the import. But what should I do with categories ? Is it possible to import them or instruct Magento to automatically create categories when importing product file if unknown category is encountered ? Thanks

    When I run a mysqldump command on my database and then try to import it, it fails as it attempts to create the tables alphabetically, even though they may have a foreign key that references a table later in the file. There doesn't appear to be anything in the documentation and I've found answers like this that say to update the file after it's created to include: set FOREIGN_KEY_CHECKS = 0; ...original mysqldump file contents... set FOREIGN_KEY_CHECKS = 1; Is there no way to automatically set those lines or export the tables in the necessary order (without having to manually specify all table names as that can be tedious and error prone)? I could wrap those lines in a script, but was wondering if there is an easy way to ensure I can dump a file and then import it without manually updating it.

    I have just installed OpenCV on my Windows 7 machine. As a result I get a new directory: C:\OpenCV2.2\Python2.7\Lib\site-packages In this directory I have two files: cv.lib and cv.pyd. Then I try to use the opencv from Python. I do the following: import sys sys.path.append('C:\OpenCV2.2\Python2.7\Lib\site-packages') import cv As a result I get the following error message: File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module> ImportError: DLL load failed: The specified module could not be found. What am I doing wrong? ADDED As it was recommended here, I have copied content of C:\OpenCV2.0\Python2.6\Lib\site-packages to the C:\Python26\Lib\site-packages. It did not help.

    I'm working with a CMS and need to import data to it using typical html forms. The data itself is in csv files with one page per row. Such is the CMS that importing directly to db isn't possible due to the complexity of the design. It's pretty important that i "fake" usual user interaction because the CMS does a lot of background work that's crucial for the import. Basically, for each row in the csv file, I need to copy a csv column to a html textfield, or select a checkbox, or click a certain button. One major issue is mapping the data in the csv to actions in the CMS. So if one column contains the string 'foobar' is really means "set the firstName dropdown widget to 'foobar'". Is there a tool to automate this? I´ve been looking at AutoHotKey, Selendium, Web-Harvester and many other tools but I'm not convinced they are the correct tools. The main problem is being able to interact with the html pages in a easy way.

  • Python module seeing a full list as empty in another module

    I'm working on a pygame project and have the main engine layed out. The problem is I hit a bug that I just can not seem to figure out. What happens is one module can't read a variable from another module. It's not that the variable can't be read, it just sees an empty list instead of what it really is. Instead of posting the entire source code I reproduced the bug in two small snippets that hopefully a skillful python-ist can interpret in his\her head.   • Importing ctype; embedding python in C++ application

    I'm trying to embed python within a C++ based programming language (CCL: The compuatational control language, not that any of you have heard of it). Thus, I don't really have a "main" function to make calls from. I have made a test .cc program with a main, and when I compile it and run it, I am able to import my own python modules and system modules for use. When I embed my code in my CCL-based program and compile it (with g++), it seems I have most functionality, but I get the import error: ImportError: /usr/lib/python2.6/lib-dynload/_ctypes.so: undefined symbol: PyType_GenericNew Can someone explain this to me and how to go about solving it? It seems like I've linked the objects correctly. Thanks.

  • Change size of a custom page in Inno Setup

    The following image shows the size of a standard custom page: I've intentionally removed the panel on top, where you usually see Caption, Description and Logo. So you can see that the actual size of the page is quite small - there are gaps on top, left and right sides. Is there any way to resize the page, so there are no gaps? I want the image to take the whole space. I create the page using CreateCustomPage function.

  • Change WizardForm.TasksList offset

    When I change WizardForm.TasksList.Offset to 20, the result looks like this: When I change it to 120, it looks like this: The problem is, I need it 120, but I don't want any space between the checkbox and it's label. You can see that with offset 120 it looks just awful, because of that space. I want the space to appear only at the left side, not in the middle. Is there any way to accomplish that?

    I have this class that contains vars for db connection; Public Shared s As String Public Shared con As String = WebConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings("foo").ToString() Public Shared c As New SqlConnection(con) Public Shared x As New SqlCommand(s, c) I import this to my page like this; Imports DBVars I'm then able to access these vars from my page. But if I try to import them into a user control the variables are not available. Am I making an error or is this expected? Thanks.
