    I have an object file, which I'd like to make into a Mach-O binary(I'm on Mac OS 10.6). Running ld source.o produces the following output: Undefined symbols: "_printf", referenced from: _main in source.o ld: symbol(s) not found for inferred architecture x86_64 How can I reference libSystem(or whatever library includes printf) using ld?

  • How can I match a match a null byte (0x00) in the Visual Studio binary editor with a find using a re

    Open a file in the Visual Studio binary editor that contains a null byte (0x00), then use the Quick Find feature (Ctrl +F) to find null bytes. I would have thought I could use a regular expression such as \x00 to match null bytes but it doesn't work. Searching for any other hex value using this method works fine. Is this a VS bug, 'feature', or am I just missing something? Is there a work around?

The purpose of this is to ensure that a helper utility is always available on the system, without having to distribute multiple files. With Delphi 2007 I have used JvDataEmbedded, but I am building a console application and I want to know if anyone knows of another way to do it without having to add a hidden form for JvDataEmbedded. I am using Delphi 2010.

    Basically i have binary data, i dont mind if it's unreadable but im writing it to a file which is parsed and so it's importance newline characters are taken out. I thought i had done the right thing when i converted to string.... byte[] b = (byte[])SubKey.GetValue(v[i]); s = System.Text.ASCIIEncoding.ASCII.GetString(b); and then removed the newlines String t = s.replace("\n","") but its not working ?

    Hi, My app needs to use PyCurl, so i tried to install it on my Mac but i found a lot of problems and error :( Requirement: First of all i've to say that the version of Python working on my Mac is 32 bit based, because i need to use WxPython, that needs 32 bit Python.   • How can I use Django with MySQL in MAMP stack?

    Hi all, I have difficulty especially in installing MySQLdb module (MySQL-python-1.2.3c1), to connect to the MySQL in MAMP stack. I've done a number of things such as copying the mysql include directory and library (including plugin) from a fresh installation of mysql (version 5.1.47) to the one inside MAMP (version 5.1.37). Now, the MySQLdb module build and install doesnt give me error. The error happens when I'm calling 'import MySQLdb' from python shell (version 2.6). But there is no MMS app in the list on htc sense devices and I don't know about Motorola Blur etc.: final Intent emailIntent = new Intent(android.content.Intent.ACTION_SEND); emailIntent.setType("image/png"); emailIntent.putExtra(Intent.EXTRA_STREAM, uri); context.startActivity(Intent.createChooser(emailIntent, context.getString(R.string.send_intent_name))); This code works on the htc sense but not from the Chooser, what I really need: Intent sendIntent = new Intent("android.intent.action.SEND_MSG"); sendIntent.putExtra(Intent.EXTRA_STREAM, uri); sendIntent.setType("image/png"); context.startActivity(sendIntent); But I don't know how to combine this code samples together and I don't know how to determine Htc Sense ui programmatically.   • What is the universal way to use file I/O API with unicode filenames?

    In Windows there is a common problem: the filenames should be converted to local codepage, before they are passed to open(). Of course, there is a possibility to use Win32::API for that, but I don't want my script to be platform-dependent. At the moment I have to write something like: open IN, "<", encode("cp1251", $filename) or die $!; but is there any library, that hides these details? I think the local codepage can be automatically detected, so I just want to pass unicode filename and forget about the details. Why is it still not in the box?

    I hope to create a single app that supports both the iPhone and the iPad. The app works in the simulator for both devices as desired. Now I'm trying to build and deploy it. I set the "Icon File" in the plist to the 57x57 .png image and when I build and try to submit the app ItunesConnect complains about needing a 72x72 .png image for the iPad. If I specify the "Icon File" to the 72x72 .png ItunesConnect complains about needing a 57x57 image for the iPhone. How do I specify both icons in a single plist?

  • How can I extract similarities/patterns from a collection of binary strings?

    I have a collection of binary strings of given size encoding effective solutions to a given problem. By looking at them, I can spot obvious similarities and intuitively see patterns of symmetry and periodicity. Are there mathematical/algorithmic tools I can "feed" this set of strings to and get results that might give me an idea of what this set of strings have in common? By doing so I would be able to impose a structure (or at least favor some features over others) on candidate solutions in order to greatly reduce the search space, maximizing chances to find optimal solutions for my problem (I am using genetic algorithms as the search tool - but this is not pivotal to the question). Any pointers/approaches appreciated.

    Hello. How to send a binary data with Indy components? Which of them is most suitable for this task? I've tried to use TIdTcpClient but it allows only to send strings. I've found one reponce for that problem here but I don't get it. It says about method Write(TIdBytes), but the answer is not clear for me. Does he meant Write to some instance of TIdBytes, and how to connect that instance with TIdTcpClient? Thanks for any help.
