  • How to set and get the id for the items in the spinner in Android

    I have a problem in my project that i am displaying a activity which would contain the details of the project which is previously added in Project Management System.. Now the fields in it are like: Fields of the Activity Name Of Project: ABC(EditText) Name Of Developer : ________(Spinner) Deadline : ________(Date Picker) Created On : _______(TextView) . . Now, the Spinner contains the Names of all developers working in the Company..I have used the ArrayAdapter with a array having the names of all the developers which is fetched from the database.. The problem is that when i update the Name Of Developer field, i get Only the Name of the Developer which is not enough to update the data as their can be multiple developers with the same name in the Company..So now I require the id of the developers to update it.. How to store that id of the developers with the Spinner so that i can achieve this.. Please help me to sort this out. Actually what i want to do like is as that we do in html:: <select> <option id="1">Developer1</option> <option id="2">Developer2</option> <option id="3">Developer2</option> <option id="4">Developer2</option> </select> where the id attached would be the database id....I want to imitate this in our android....   • Avoid duplicate custom post type posts in multiple loops in Wordpress

    I am running two loops with a custom post type of Portfolio (ID of 3). The first loop is for Featured and the second is for the rest. I plan on having more than 3 Featured posts in random order. I would like to have the Featured ones that aren't displaying in the first loop to show up in my second loop. But general - it doesn't add a separator after the last element! I uses it for ASP.NET coding for separating with "<br />" or Environment.NewLine. So I want to add an empty row after each row in asp:Table. What method of IEnumerable<TableRow> can I use for the same functionality?

  • "Super meatboy"-ish replay

    I'm making a platformer built from mini-levels - and I want to create a sort of a replay of all the player tries that the player did for the level. My question is - what is the best way to record the player's actions in-game, so that I could replay them later when he finishes the level. I thought about recording only the player's input and replay them later on, each on a clone of the player. The problem I have with this is with dynamic obstacles (that could be moved around) - if one clone moves them, it throws the simulation off for the rest of the clones. So then I thought about recording every frame the X/Y of the player, and then just replay it - but that seems it could cause a major memory leak and very ineffective. So - does anyone have any ideas? :)

  • Optimal way to generate list of PHP object properties with delimiter character, implode()?

    I am trying to find out if there is a more optimal way for creating a list of an object's sub object's properties. (Apologies for the crude wording, I am not really much of an OO expert) I have an object "event" that has a collection of "artists", each artist having an "artist_name". On my HTML output, I want a plain list of artist names delimited by a comma. PHP's implode() seems to be the best way to create a comma delimited list of values. I am currently iterating through the object and push values in a temporary array "artistlist" so I can use implode(). That is the shortest I could come up with.     I am very new to Box 2D Physics world. I wanted to know how to collide 2 bodies when one is Dynamic and other is Kinematic. The whole Scenario is explained below: I have 3 balls in total. I want to balls to remain in their places and the third ball to be able to move. When the third ball hits the other two balls then they should move according to the speed and direction from which they were hit. My gravity of the world is 0 because I only want z-axis gravity.   • How can one put together multiple arrays into one string?

    I'm having a hard time describing what I'm looking for. If we pretend that we're pulling an array (I've used the .split to get user input data) where each line represents a link. How can I then add an anchor tagg to that link that I'm pulling? I need to be able to put < a href=" + thearray + "anything< /a. The reason for this is that I'm dynamically creating a list. I think that if I create two variables, one with this part < a href=" one with the closing and then call some sort of function that puts those two and the pulled array in between them until the list is complete. Does this make any sense?

    Hey, How is it possible to sort data from multiple tables by relevance? My table structure is following: I have 3 tables in my database, one table contains the name of solar systems, the second for e.g. of planets. There is one more table, witch is a connection between solar systems and planets. If I want to get data of a planet, witch is in the Milky Way, i post this data to the server, and it gives me a multi-dimensional array witch contains: The Milky Way, with every planet in it Every planet, witch name contains the string Milky Way (maybe thats a bat example because i don't think that theres but one planet with this name, but the main concept is on file) But, i want to set the most relevant restaurants to the top of the array. (for the relevance i would check the description of the restaurants or something like that) So, how would you do that kind of data sorting?

  • JQuery: which element was clicked?

    I have a list with links. These links are links to tables on the same page. What I want to do is whatever link I click in the list it will show its corresponding table and hide all the others. Without adding a different id/class to each link in the list and its corresponding table, is there a way to find out which element was clicked and show() its table? From what I understand JQuery returns an array object on its selector. How can I find out what element of the array was clicked? I've tried to use event.which but I'm a little lost. Help is greatly appreciated!

  • How to update NSMutableDictionary. My code doesn't work.

    I've populated an array using. arrSettings = [[NSMutableArray alloc] initWithContentsOfFile:[self settingsPath]]; The file is a plist with the root as an array and then a dictionary with three three keys defined as number. I've also tried setting the keys to string. I display the values in the plist file on a view using. diaper = [[arrSettings objectAtIndex:0] objectForKey:@"Diaper Expenses"]; oil = [[arrSettings objectAtIndex:0] objectForKey:@"Oil Used"]; tree = [[arrSettings objectAtIndex:0] objectForKey:@"Wood Used"]; This code works fine, the values in the dictionary are assigned to the variables and they are displayed. The user can make changes and then press a save button. I use this code to extract the dictionary part of the array so I can update it. The assignment to editDictionary works. I've double checked the key names including case and that is correct. editDictionary = [[NSMutableDictionary alloc] init]; editDictionary = [arrSettings objectAtIndex:0]; NSNumber *myNumber = [NSNumber numberWithFloat:diaperAmount]; [editDictionary setValue:myNumber forKey:@"Diaper Expenses"]; myNumber = [NSNumber numberWithFloat:oilAmount]; [editDictionary setValue:myNumber forKey:@"Oil Used"]; myNumber = [NSNumber numberWithFloat:treeAmount]; [editDictionary setValue:myNumber forKey:@"Wood Used"]; In this example I've used a nsnumber. But I've also tried the xxxAmount field as part of SetValue instead of creating a NSNumber. Neither implementation works. Several strange things happen. Sometimes the first two setvalue statements work, but the last setvalue fails with a EXC_BAD_ACCESS failure. Other times the first setValue fails with the same error. I have no idea why the first two sometimes work. I'm at a loss of what to do next. I've tried several implentations and none of them work. Also, in the debugger how can I display the editDictionary elements. I can see editDictionary, but I don't know how to display the individual elements.

I want to apply default decorators per element basis, not using Zend_Form#setDisableLoadDefaultDecoraotrs()

  • Graph call "/me/friends" doesn't contain names if called from a testuser

    When I log into Facebook with my account and call the Graph API with /me/friends it returns an array like this: [ {id: "6868...", name: "John Smith"}, {id: "7531...", name: "Diane Smith"}, ... ] But if I'm logged in with a Facebook testuser and do the same call I get an array like this: [ {id: "100002927..."}, {id: "100003151..."}, ... ] So I'm missing the name property. Bug? Or did I some mistake? I'm using the JS SDK, but I think that doesn't matter.

For instance, the following method could be an extension to JFrame, to create a JPanel and add it to the parent JFrame: public JPanel threadSafeAddPanel() { final JPanel[] jPanel = new JPanel[1]; try { EventQueue.invokeAndWait(new Runnable() { public void run() { jPanel[0] = new JPanel(); add(jPanel[0]); } }); } catch (InterruptedException ex) { } catch (InvocationTargetException ex) { } return jPanel[0]; } The local 1-length array is used to transfer the "result" from inside the Runnable, which is invoked in the EDT. Well, it looks "a bit" hacky, and so my questions: Does this make sense? Is anybody else doing something like this? Is the 1-length array a good way of transferring the result? Is there an easier way to do this?
