  • How important is sender validation, and what matters?

    When I started learning how to configure email, SPF existed but there were doubts about whether it was a good thing, and the value of offering SPF records in DNS. Now it seems that it is widely accepted that some form of well-known sender validation is good practice. Is this really true? Am I being a bad postmaster by not supporting SPF/DKIM/whatever?

Cozi has a great calendar but not much else... EverNote lasks the calendar side of things. Scrybe looks very promising on both fronts but is by invitation only. Oh yeah... it should be free, too :D Am I SOL?

Unfortunately, that doesn't insert the tab character but instead moves the control to the next form element (like a button or a check box). For browsers like Firefox/IE, is there a way to get the formatting behavior of a tab, within a text box, by typing a key combination?

  • Why can't I create e-mails on CPanel ?

    Hello, I have a nasty problem creating e-mails on a cpanel account, the creation form doesn't work (clicking on the buttons does nothing) and the sourcecode of the page has a weird http://petlieutenants.com/css/article1.php in it... The quota for the account is normal, all the other accounts are working fine. What can possibly be causing this ? Thanks for your ideas !

  • IIS 7.5 website application pool with full administrator permissions hackable?

    Although I would never do this, I would like to know how a static html website with the permission mentioned in the title could be compromised. In my humble opinion, I would guess that this would pose no threat since a web visitor has no way to upload/edit/delete anything. What if the site was a simple PHP website that simply displayed ‘hello world’? What if this PHP site had a contact us form that was properly sanitized? Thank you

    I have auto recovery on my Excel program and I save my work several times a day. Tonight, I turned on the computer and it had shut down down for some apparent reason. When I pulled up my Excel program it only showed one auto recovery file form 8am this morning even though I worked/added onto my Excel sheet for several hours this afternoon. Is there any way to recover my work I did this afternoon?

    I have a list with three columns A, B, and C. The first two columns are complete (A and B), while the third (C) has many blanked fields. What I want to do is replace all the blank fields in Column C with the same value form cell A in the same row. The List contains over 2000 records, of which 65% have a blank Column C value, so I would like to use a formula/function. How do I get back in the forms, so that the users can edit (and create) items including this column/field. The field is perfectly visible in "datasheet" mode where you can edit too but I would love to have the forms back in order :o)

    I am trying to write an IF formula for an order form where a discount is applied depending on the amount of units ordered..... The discounts are: 0 to 24 units - 0 discount 24 to 59 units – 5% discount 60 to 95 units – 10% discount 96 to 131 units – 15% discount 132 to 263 units – 20% discount 264+ units - 30% discount the cell that i am taking the total from is J1028.   • How decode xfs lost+found directory

    I have managed to trash my homebrew Nas box (an old hp d530 + 2x 750gb sata soft raid1 + 17gb boot disk with ubuntu server 8.10) I have searched the web and tried to repair the file system but to no avail :( I was thinking that the dirs/files located under the root of the lost+found directory are 64 bit numbers. Is there any way that I could decant the number into binary form, from there reconstruct the directory/file structure. More to the point can anyone point to the information on how xfs inodes are broken down(does that make sense)?

    I have added some advanced properties into my Microsoft Word 2007 document. These were created by doing the following: Click the Office button - Prepare - Properties. Under the Document Properties drop-down menu, select Advanced Properties. In the Custom tab, add properties as needed. My question is how do you insert these custom properties into the Word document so that they are in text form and gets updated when you update the properties in that one spot? Thank you!

  • How can I mount an AES-128 encrypted DMG file using the NTFS file system under Windows XP?

    I found HFSExplorer, which can handle encrypted DMG files, but it only supports HFS, and the DMG I want to open is NTFS. I can't just use any image mounter since the DMG file is encrypted, and I don't want to need to copy it over to my main hard drive first. (The DMG is on an external hard drive.) If copying it is the only way, however, I'd be willing to settle for that, but I'd rather just leave it on the external hard drive in an encrypted form.

    I've been having a crack at using fields in Word 2007 and have hit a slight stumbling block. I want to add a field which I can use in several parts of the document to represent the current version (something of the form v0.1 but I can't see an obvious way to do it). The only provision I've found for this is something called RevNum but that gets updated every time I save the document. Is there a field I've missed or a way of adding custom fields or something?

  • Eucalyptus / no bootable EBS yet - any alternatives to Eucalyptus?

    I've read a couple of articles that Eucalyptus doesn't support bootable EBS yet. This is a problem since you can't make a backup form an instance like you a able on Amazon cloud or Rack Space Cloud. If you ever reboot the physical Ecalyptus sever that's running the node controller the instance is gone along with all your settings. Are there any alternatives to Eucalyptus or is just the only game in town when it comes to open source cloud?
