• Two view App with root template view

  Hi I was wanted to do Application witch have a root template view with a nice logo on top or something adn load other views just below (here is what I have right now: Test App ) But I have a little problem. If I'll remove a comment in file TestAppDelegate.m on line 58 //[currentView release]; Application will crash with bunch of errors when I try to switch views. But if I comment this line Project analyzer is telling me that I have a potential leak with currentView variable. Can somebody spare some time and see in that code what I did wrong?

• "Did you mean" feature on a dictionary database

  I have a ~300.000 row table; which includes technical terms; queried using PHP and MySQL + FULLTEXT indexes. But when I searching a wrong typed term; for example "hyperpext"; naturally giving no results. I need to "compansate" little writing errors and getting nearest record from database. How I can accomplish such feaure? I know (actually, learned today) about Levenshtein distance, Soundex and Metaphone algorithms but currently not having a solid idea to implement this to querying against database. Best regards.   I'm trying to be able to have a global exception capture where I can add extra information when an error happens. I have two classes, "crawler" and "amazon". What I want to do is be able to call "crawl", execute a function in amazon, and use the exception handling in the crawl function. • jquery/javascript: accessing contents of an iframe

  I would like to manipulate the html inside an iframe using jquery. I thought I'd be able to do this by setting the context of the jQuery function to be the document of the iframe, something like: $(function(){//document ready $('some selector', frames['nameOfMyIframe'].document).doStuff() }); However this doesn't seem to work. A bit of inspection shows me that the variables in frames['nameOfMyIframe'] are undefined unless I wait a while for the iframe to load. However, when the iframe loads the variables are unaccessible (I get permission denied type errors). Does anyone know of way to work around this?

• Trying to modify a constraint in PostgresSQL

  Postgres is getting quite annoying lately. I have checked the documentation provided by Oracle and found a way to do this without dropping the table. Problem is, it errors out at modify as it does not recognize the keyword. Using EMS SQL Manager for PostgreSQL. • JQuery JEditable stay in edit mode on error

  I'm successfully using jeditable to submit via a function using jQuery.ajax and the async : false option , but am having an issue aborting if an error is returned. How can I get the edit box to stay activated and / or revert back to the original value if there are errors? I'm returning http status codes. so something like async : false .ajax submit here... if (xhr.status == 200) { return value; else { alert ('returned error'); // keep edit box activated but available for another try, or revert back to original value } I tried not returning a value from the function, which keeps the edit box activated and ready for another submit, but then the ESC key doesn't work anymore and if I click outside the edit area, the edit box stays. • Nesting queries in SQL

  The goal of my query is to return the country name and its head of state if it's headofstate has a name starting with A, and the capital of the country has greater than 100,000 people utilizing a nested query. Here is my query: SELECT country.name as country, (SELECT country.headofstate from country where country.headofstate like 'A%') from country, city where city.population > 100000; I've tried reversing it, placing it in the where clause etc. I don't get nested queries. I'm just getting errors back, like subquery returns more than one row and such. If someone could help me out with how to order it, and explain why it needs to be a certain way, that'd be great.

  I have an old c++ application that needs to be modified to work with windows 7. Problem is in creating a new folder and saving a file in that folder. This folder should be created in c:\program files\myApp\data\newFolder. If I run application as administrator than the folder is created, otherwise "Access is denied" error is thrown. • Python 3.0 - Dynamic Class Instance Naming

  I want to use a while loop to initialize class objects with a simple incremented naming convention. The goal is to be able to scale the number of class objects at will and have the program generate the names automatically. (ex. h1...h100...h1000...) Each h1,h2,h3... being its own instance. I wanted to open links such as index.php?page=login to open with login.php, so I used Rewrite mode in .htaccesss, for example RewriteRule ^/*login.php$ /index.php?page=login [L] in a few pages there should be a query for errors such as RewriteRule ^/*support.php?(.+)$ /index.php?page=support&%{QUERY_STRING} [L] It works but I need to deny the main URLs so when users enters index.php?a=login manually nothing (or the main page) would show up and he should open the link only with /login.php. Is there a way to do this? A little help please...

• IIS 7 problem which does not occur under apache

  I'm hosting a little site using a JavaScript to draw a simple graph. It involves one html index file, some css and some js files. It has all been working perfectly on two different apache servers, but when I set up IIS 7 the ajax calls fail. I get no java debug errors in firefox that I can work with, or any kind of error message at all. Without going into the code itself, does anyone have a similar experience with IIS? This is the first time I'm using IIS so I'm not quite sure what to expect to have trouble with. I'd love some input on this, if I have to delve into the code itself I'll make a new thread, I just thought I'd see if this could be a typical issue. Any help is appreciated!

• NoClassDefFoundError when running java tool under Xcode

  Hi all, I'm trying to create a Java Tool by using Xcode. I've already changed my build.xml to have Xcode target java 1.6 and not 1.3 so I can use generics. I'm getting no build errors and using 'javac' and 'java' in the terminal works. Now I want it to work in Xcode as well. I keep getting the following error: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: MyClass where 'MyClass' is the class containing the main method. It probably has something to do with the classpath, which as the build.xml prescribes is "${bin}". There is a bin folder in my project folder, and it contains all the .class files needed to run the program. If anybody could help me, it'd be great!

• Maven project dependecy against JDK version

  I have projects that need to be build with a specific version of the JDK. The problem isn't in the source and target parameters but in the jars of the runtime used during compilation. In some cases I get a compilation error if I try to compile with the wrong JDK, but sometimes the build is successful and I get runtime errors when using the jars. For example in eclipse I have the ability to establish the execution enviroment for the project in the .classpath file. Is there a way to handle such situation in maven? What I would like to have is the ability to handle JRE dependency like other dependencies of the project in the POM file.

• Reuse C++ Header files

  Guys, I have a Visual C++ solution with 2 projects AlgorithmA & AlgorithmB and both share a common header file RunAlgo.h with the class declaration. Each project in the solution has its own unique implementation for the header file. I am trying to compile a DLL out of the common header file RunAlgo.h and add reference to this DLL in the projects AlgorithmA & AlgorithmB. I have then included separate RunAlgo.cpp definition file in both my projects. The problem is that I am getting linker errors while compiling the new DLL project which has only the header file. So, the question is Can a header file with only class declaration be compiled into a DLL (Similar to class library containing an Interface in C#)? For the above scenario, is there a better approach to reuse the common Header file among projects? Should the above method work (re-check my code?)

• dependencies linking isnt enough?

  In Visual Studio (C++) the other day, I was trying to build some example code and it would not work, even though I was pointing at the right include and lib directories. (I got linker errors) I asked a friend who fixed the problem by specifying the necessary .lib files in the General Properties-Linker-Input field of the project settings. My questions: Simply pointing to the directory with the .lib files is not enough? You need to specifically tell the linker which lib files to link? By listing the .lib files in the "additional dependencies" field, am I specifying exactly which static libs get built into the exe? If the answer to this is yes, then will these be the ONLY lib files that get built into the exe? Why is it called "additional" dependencies? Is there another place to specify lib files to include? Before I thought this was done by including the necessary header file? Thanks everyone! Russel

• Php code not executing - dies out when trying to refer to member of static class - no error displaye

  I'm having some problems with this piece of code. I've included a class declaration and trying to create an object of that class but my code dies out. It doesn't seem to be an include issue as all the files are being included even the files called for inclusion within the class file itself. However the object is not created - I tried to put an echo statement in the __construct function but nothing it just doesn't run infact doesn't create the object and the code won't continue from there - plus no error is reported or displayed and I have error reporting set to E_ALL and display errors set to true WHats happening here :( =============EDIT SOrry I checked again the error is prior to teh object creation thing - it dies out when it tries to refer to a constant in a static class like so: $v = Zend_Oauth::REQUEST_SCHEME_HEADER; THis is the class or part of it - it has largely static functions its the Zend Oauth class: class Zend_Oauth { const REQUEST_SCHEME_HEADER = 'header'; const REQUEST_SCHEME_POSTBODY = 'postbody'; const REQUEST_SCHEME_QUERYSTRING = 'querystring'; // continued LIke I said no error is being reported at all :(

  I'm working on an application which use ajax call to get html from the server. When I run it on the server, everything works fine. But when I'm running on a localhost, I've a 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' error. I looked arround and it seems like using jsonp could be the solution.
