  Hello guys. I'm starting off with NHibernate now and I still don't have a testable environment. I would like to know from you, experienced fellows if there is a problem to map IList to an Set in .hbm file. • Adding defaults and indexes to a script/generate command in a Rails Template?

  I'm trying to set up a Rails Template that would allow for comprehensive set-up of a specific Rails app. Using Pratik Naik's overview (http://m.onkey.org/2008/12/4/rails-templates), I was able to set up a couple of scaffolds and models, with a line that looks something like this ... generate("scaffold", "post", "title:string", "body:string") I'm now trying to add in Delayed Jobs, which normally has a migration file that looks like this: create_table :delayed_jobs, :force => true do |table| table.integer :priority, :default => 0 # Allows some jobs to jump to the front of the queue table.integer :attempts, :default => 0 # Provides for retries, but still fail eventually. table.text :handler # YAML-encoded string of the object that will do work table.text :last_error # reason for last failure (See Note below) table.datetime :run_at # When to run. I know that the rest of the template's command should look like this: generate("migration", "createDelayedJobs", "priority:integer", "attempts:integer", "handler:text", "last_error:text", "run_at:datetime", "locked_at:datetime", "failed_at:datetime", "locked_by:string") Where would I put (or, rather, what is the syntax to add) the :default values in that? And if I wanted to add an index, what's the best way to do that?

  I have two classes (Parent, Child) that have a many-to-many relationship that only one end (Parent) knows about. My problem is that when I delete a "relation unaware" object (Child), the record in the many-to-many table is left. I want the relationship to be removed regardless of which end of it is deleted. How can I do that with Fluent NHibernate mappings, without adding a Parent property on Child?   I've just installed the new Aquamacs 2.0 in my Mac Os X 10.6.3 and I'm an happy user of IDLWAVE on Aquamacs for programming in IDL. Unfortunately I run into a problem which I can't understand. I used in my configuration file to put the following (setq idlwave-surround-by-blank t) for the beautiful space around operator. • UIScrollView eating touches from its parent

  I have nested scrollViews (or rather a subclass of UIScrollView inside of an actual scrollview). I set the size of the inner view to its contentSize and set scrollEnabled = NO, because I only want the outside view scrolling. But the innerView occasionally eats touches and keeps the outerView from scrolling when it should. Is there something else I need to set to keep it from stealing the scrolling touches, but still allowing user interaction (e.g. editing a textView)?

• Flex: CursorManager does nothing when `stage.mouseChildren = false`?

  I've found that if I use the CursorManager to set a cursor — CursorManager.setBusyCursor() — then set stage.mouseChildren = false, the cursor set by CursorManager is replaced by the "default" mouse cursor the next time the mouse is moved. I'm setting stage.mouseChildren = false so that, while the mouse is being dragged, other "stuff" on the stage won't get mouse events (eg, so that mouse-over affordances aren't triggered if I'm in the middle of a drag). Is there some way I can work around this?

  I've got my database set up with three tables - code, tags, and code_tags for tagging posts. This will be the SQL query processed when a post is submitted. Each tag is sliced up by PHP and individually inserted using these queries. INSERT IGNORE INTO tags (tag) VALUES ('$tags[1]'); SELECT tags.id FROM tags WHERE tag = '$tags[1]' ORDER BY id DESC LIMIT 1; INSERT INTO code_tags (code_id, tag_id) VALUES ($codeid, WHAT_GOES_HERE?) The WHAT_GOES_HERE? value at the end is what I need to know. It needs to be the ID of the tag that the second query fetched. How can I put that ID into the third query? I hope I explained that correctly. I'll rephrase if necessary.

• Trouble creating FTP in Server 2008

  I have been trying to create an FTP server on my new Server 2008. I have been following both (very detailed and highly published here guides) For setting up using IIS Manager http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/321/configure-ftp-with-iis-7-manager-authentication/ and For anonymous FTP http://www.trainsignaltraining.com/windows-server-2008-ftp-iis7 I am able to log as an anonymous user. My need is to use a named user, so I need to use the IIS Manager. I get error 530 when trying to log as a user. Connected to 127.0.0.1. 220 Microsoft FTP Service User (127.0.0.1:(none)): ftpmanager 331 Password required for ftpmanager. Password: 530-User cannot log in. Win32 error: Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password. Error details: Filename: Error: 530 End Login failed. ftp> I can not learn from this message anything. My password is set to: 1234 (so I don't think I make a mistake here - testing purposes only ofc) Thank you. Note - I went over other posts on SE that I read, and couldn't get the result: IIS7 Windows Server 2008 FTP -> Response: 530 User cannot log in. FTP Error 530, User cannot log in, home directory inaccessible. Having trouble setting up FTP server on Windows Server 2008 EDIT I think I found some errors with the physical path. Going to Basic settings, and Test Connection on the physical path, gave me the following error: The server is configured to use pass-through authentication with a built-in account to access the specified physical path. However, IIS Manager cannot verify whether the built-in account has access. Make sure that the application pool identity has Read access to the physical path. If this server is joined to a domain, and the application pool identity is NetworkService or LocalSystem, verify that \$ has Read access to the physical path. Then test these settings again. I am not sure which/whom should get access to the Root folder !? I want to point out, I managed to login with a domain user (change authorization and authentication methods) but this is NOT the requested solution. I checked to make sure that the FTP, folders, access is working properly. I am bit lost here. ==== More tries: I have enabled another Allow rule for ALL Users. I still get the same error. It seems that it doesn't matter if i use a correct or wrong password, I still get Error 530.

  As you might know, it's now possible to trace Erlang functions by using the short form: dbg:tpl(Module, Function, x). Instead of the usual: dbg:tpl(Module, Function, dbg:fun2ms(fun(_) -> exception_trace() end)). I'm actually wondering if a similar short form is available for return_trace(). Something like: dbg:tpl(Module, Function, r). Instead of: dbg:tpl(Module, Function, dbg:fun2ms(fun(_) -> return_trace() end)). The source code in the dbg module seems to suggest not: new_pattern_table() -> PT = ets:new(dbg_tab, [ordered_set, public]), ets:insert(PT, {x, term_to_binary([{'_',[],[{exception_trace}]}])}), ets:insert(PT, {exception_trace, term_to_binary(x)}), PT. But I might be wrong. Do you know of any?

  I use c# 4 asp.net and EF 4. I'm precompiling a query, the result should be a collection of Anonymous Type. I am finding an effective way to perform unit testing of user interface. For complex validation rules I mean: "Disable button X if I Insert a value in textfield Y" "Enable a combobox if I insert a value in a textfield" ...... ...... Most promising pattern i have found is suggested by M. Fowler (http://martinfowler.com/eaaDev/ModelViewPresenter.html). Have you any experience about Unit Testing of User Interface? For each record read from the csv, a lookup is made into the timezones collection to map the record location to the respective time zone. If the mapping is successful - that timezone is used to convert the record timestamp (pacific time) to the respective local timestamp. If no mapping is found - a rough approximation is calculated. The timezones collection is appropriately indexed, of course - calling explain() confirms it. The process is slow. Naturally, having to query the timezones collection for every record kills the performance. I am looking for advises on how to improve it. Thanks. EDIT The timezones collection contains 8176040 records, each containing four values: > db.data.findOne() { "_id" : 3038814, "loc" : [ 1.48333, 42.5 ], "tz" : "Europe/Andorra" } EDIT2 OK, I have compiled a release build of http://toblerity.github.com/rtree/ and configured the rtree package. Then I have created an rtree dat/idx pair of files corresponding to my timezones collection. So, instead of calling collection.find_one I call index.intersection. Surprisingly, not only there is no improvement, but it works even more slowly now! May be rtree could be fine tuned to load the entire dat/idx pair into RAM (704M), but I do not know how to do it. Until then, it is not an alternative. In general, I think the solution should involve parallelization of the task. • Xcode 5 new bug

  Since the recent IOS update last month I have been having issues with this new bug that has hampered my program. The bug is as follows: using a UIButton and I want to insert a value into it, only after my execution ends does a letter actually appear. But if I create a method during execution to tell me, using NSLog, what my properties contain then that letter I added never shows up. I'm thinking I need to find a way to refresh a property during execution instead in the end. For example: Let's say you want to insert the letter F into a UIButton. Immediately after writing F into that UIButton, look to see that F hasn't isn't in there. But it will only show up after that particular execution sequence finishes. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

What I want to achieve is when I insert date in one column, the date format should be YYYY-MM-DD and not MM-DD-YYYY. I know its just display format, but I want to access the property which we set when we open access table in design mode, and for column with date data type, set format as Custom (YYYY-MM-DD). I want this to be set at runtime while creating table only. I wanted to know what should be property name that I should use in order to access and set the format property of column?

  Hy I'v a little problem with hibernate on netbeans. I've a table with an Auto increment id : CREATE TABLE "DVD" ( "DVD_ID" INT not null primary key GENERATED ALWAYS AS IDENTITY (START WITH 1, INCREMENT BY 1), "TITLE" VARCHAR(150), "COM" LONG VARCHAR, "COVER" VARCHAR(150) ); But this auto increment is not properly detected with Reverse Engineering. I get a map file with this : <id name="dvdId" type="int"> <column name="DVD_ID" /> <generator class="assigned" /> </id> i've looked on google and on this site ... foud some stuf but i'm still stuck.. i've tried to add insert="false" update="false" on the map file but i get back : Caused by: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: Attribute "insert" must be declared for element type "id".
