    I am looking to see if there is an open source/free project that provides a CSS manager. I am looking for this mainly for performance tweaking and hoping there is a readymade project rather than building from scratch. Features I am looking for include: Combines multiple .css files into a single css file Optionally minifies the resulting .css file Works well with .Net (a user control, custom handler, etc) Is there a project out that that handles this?

  • In pure XAML, is it possible to get a Line to align to part of a Grid?

    Is it possible to create a Line in XAML (without any C# code behind) to align a line inside of a layout container such as a Grid? I'd like to effectively have: <Grid> <Line StrokeThickness="1" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" VerticalAlignment="Bottom" Stroke="Red"/> </Grid> I need to use StrokeDashArray and StrokeDashOffset, otherwise I would just use a Border control with the BorderThickness set to "0,0,0,1"...     In "traditional" ASP.NET (Web Forms), the UpdatePanel control lets you do a partial refresh of a part of a page. You don't need to write much code to hook this up. What's the equivalent in ASP.NET MVC? I'm guessing I'd need to use a partial view for the bit that I want to update, then on the client side retrieve that HTML and pump it into the innerHtml of the correct DIV? A tutorial/example would be helpful...

    We are starting to use Mercurial for source control. We have configured the HGRC configuration file to do an auto update after we push to the "central" repository. With some PCs we get this error msg: warning: changegroup hook exited with status -1 HGRC looks like this: [ui] username=ADMIN verbose=true [hooks] changegroup = hg update >&2 Later we perform the update manually and everything works right.

  • Recommended ASP.NET Shared Hosting

    Ok, I have to admit I'm getting fed up with www.discountasp.net's pricing model and this annoyance has built up over the past 8 years or so. I've been with them for years and absolutely love them on the technical side, however it's getting ridiculously expensive for so little that you get. I mean here's my scenario: 1) I am running 2 SQL Server databases which costs me $10/ea per month so that's $20/month for 2 and I only get 500 mb disk space which is horrible 2) I am paying $10/mo just for the hosting itself which I only get 1 gig of disk space! I mean common! 3) I am simply running 2 small apps (Screwturn Wiki & Subtext Blog)...so I don't really care if it's up 99% or not, it's not worth paying a total of $300 just to keep these 2 apps running over discountasp.net Anyone else feel the same? Yes, I know they have great support, probably have great servers running behind this but in the end I really don't care as long as my site is up 95% or better. Yes, the hosting toolset rocks. But you know I bet you I can find a similar set somewhere else. I like how I can totally control IIS 7 at discountasp and I can control my own app pool etc. That's very powerful and essential. But anyone have any good alternatives to discountasp that gives me close to the same at a much more reasonable cost point? I mean http://www.m6.net/prices.aspx gives you 10 SQL Databases for $7 and 200 gigs disk space! I don't know about their tools or support but just looking at those numbers and some other hosts I've seen, I feel that discountasp.net is way out of line. They don't even offer any purchasing discounts such as it would be nice if my 2nd SQL Server is only $5/month not $10...stuff like this, to make it much more realistic and fair. Opinions (people who do have discountasp.net, people who have left them, or people who have another host they like)??? But geez $300 just to host a couple DBs and lightweight open source apps? Not worth the price they are charging. I'm almost at a price point that enables me to get a decent dedicated server! I really don't care about beta support. Not a big deal to me.

Basically, I need this(c = change, u = undo, r = redo): 0 *c -1 0 *c -2 -1 0 *c -3 -2 -1 0 <u -2 -1 0 1 *c -3 -2 -1 0 Variants: LinkedList - possible in principle, maybe not optimized. Queue - not adapted for this task, IMO. Stack - not adapted for undo AND redo; Double Stack - maybe optimal, but can't control the undo maximum size.

  • After opening a mdb in a working copy

    Hallo all, In my institute, Tortoise is employed for the purpose of version control. I find, if a mdb file which belongs to the working copy of a project reporitory is opened thru Access, the ordinary will be labelled with an explamation mark. Since the database has not been modified, I don't unterstand why Tortoise regards the opening as a kind of modification. Thanks in advance for any tips. John

I've never used them before because personally I think they decrease the readability of a program. I am willing to change my mind about using them if the argument is solid enough however.
