    I'm currently testing GAs new async code snippet using two different tracking codes on the same page; _gaq.push( ['_setAccount', 'UA-XXXXXXXX-1'], ['_trackPageview'], ['b._setAccount', 'UA-XXXXXXXX-2'], ['b._trackPageview'] ); Although both codes work, I've noticed that they present inconsistent results. Now, we aren't talking huge differences here, only 1 or 2 visits / day every now and then. However, this site is tiny and 1 or 2 visits equates to a 15% difference in figures. Now, the final site has much more traffic, but my concerns are; will this inconsistancy scale with traffic? assuming not, is a slight variation in recorded stats an accepted norm?

    I'm development a network card game, and for now i've two players connected but there is a problem with one of them, this one can't do anything on the game. Looks that screen was blocked. I'm think that is because a code i used before. That code is: if (InvokeRequired) { this.Invoke(new MethodInvoker(delegate { ... })); return; } The code above is surrounding code to changing Button values, make connection with server and create game window. Without this code a warning is shown. InvalidOperationException was unhandled Cross-thread operation not valid: Control 'startGameButton' accessed from a thread other than the thread it was created on.

  • Edit my message before posting in Twitter with Twitter API and PHP

    I am having a site and I want to add a button in my site that will link to the twitter login page and after login it will post a message to the Twitter home page of the user. I used this code: http://www.matpal.com/2010/12/oauth-access-token-in-twitter-api.html and it works fine. My problem is that before posting the message I want to be able to edit it. So after login I want to see my message in an editing input (like retween do,here: http://www.mobilemarketer.com/cms/news/search/10263.html ) and post it after clicking Tweet. Does anyone know how can I do this? Thanks in advance

  • Selecting Entity Data Model Laguage -- Visual C# source file generated even when i select VB

    Am adding an Entity Data Model to an ASP.NET website. When i Add New Item to the website and select ADO.NET Entity Data Model, am asked for the model name and language. I go a head and select Visual Basic as the language, the model is added and the site can compile with out any issues. however, the model it adds a ModelName.Designer.cs source file, instead of a ModelName.Designer.vb source file. am thinking this is strange as its happening with only one of my website. my other sites have .vb designer source file for their Entity Data Models. The site still compiles with out any errors but am afraid some thing is not right. any one experienced this?, is this normal behavior?

    To configure Weblogic server : 1.- Read the following link : How to Use Log4j with WebLogic Logging Services http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12840_01/wls/docs103/logging/config_logs.html#wp1014610 Here the step by step : 2.- Go to WL_HOME/server/lib and copy wllog4j.jar to the server CLASSPATH, to do this copy the file into DOMAIN_NAME/lib 3.- Download log4j jar (in my case I had not the file) from http://logging.apache.org/log4j/1.2/download.html , in this case the last available version is log4j-1.2.17.jar, and copy the file into DOMAIN_NAME/lib (As step 2). 4.- In this case I activate log4j using WLST (Weblogic Scripting Tool), as bellow : 4.1 .- As you're using windows, execute a terminal window and go to DOMAIN_NAME/bin and run the file setDomainEnv.cmd (this file will set the environment to run java). 4.2 .- Execute the following comands : C:\>java weblogic.WLST wls:/offline> connect('username','password') wls:/mydomain/serverConfig> edit() wls:/mydomain/edit> startEdit() wls:/mydomain/edit !> cd("Servers/$YOUR_SERVER_NAME/Log/$YOUR_SERVER_NAME" wls:/mydomain/edit/Servers/myserver/Log/myserver !> cmo.setLog4jLoggingEnabled(true) wls:/mydomain/edit/Servers/myserver/Log/myserver !> save() wls:/mydomain/edit/Servers/myserver/Log/myserver !> activate() you can use ls() to list the objects under the WLS directory this will activate log4j to use it with WLS.     How to hide Lists from specific group, but at the same time allow them to add items in it?. I edited permission levels for the site and created a permission that has these privileges: List Permissions: Add Items, View Items. Site Permissions: View Pages, Open. And then assign this permission to the group along with View Only. However this would still show Lists and the users are able to access them. How can I hide it from this specific group only?.

    Hi, I have a site thats served in 2 flavours, English and French. Here's some code app/views/user/register.html.erb ----------------- <% form_for .....> <%= f.text_field :first_name %> <% end %> app/models/user.rb ------------------ class User < ActiveRecord::Base validates_presence_of :first_name end Now to display the error message in case if the site is being served in the French version, I have app/config/locales/fr.yml ------------------------- activerecord: errors: messages: empty: "ne peut pas être vide" So if someone does not fill in a first name, the validator takes the name of the field and appends the custom message for empty clause giving "First name ne peut pas être vide" which is incorrect, coz 'First name' in French is 'Prénom', hence it should be "Prénom ne peut pas être vide" Please can someone suggest a way of achieving the desired result.

    I currently have a site where the data is hosted on Firebase and the static files are hosted on AWS (I registered my domain using NameCheap, but am routing to AWS using Route 53 and S3). I now want to use SendGrid to send emails, but they are saying that I need to set up an SMTP server. I can't find anywhere what the best way to do this is. Can I get suggestions please on the best solution? I want to use SendGrid to send transactional email such as "Welcome to the site!", "Forgot Password", etc.

  • Xml files stop being served by IIS6 after allowing .net to process the .xml extension

    I added a route into my site to allow for a sitemap and everything worked fine in IIS7 but once I deployed the route stopped working. Since the live server is running IIS6 I needed to put a new mapping in for .xml to be processed by .net and then it started to work. My issue though is on every other xml file on the site now. I keep getting a 404 error when trying to view xml files, but the sitemap.xml route works. Is this a routing issue or an IIS setup issue?   • How much user data should be required to grant a password reset?

    I'm looking to add password-reset functionality to my site and have been browsing the numerous threads discussing various aspects of that issue here on SO. One thing I haven't really seen clarified is how much information to require from the user for confirmation before sending out the reset email. is email alone enough? email + account username? email + account username + some other identifying value all accounts must input? I don't want my site to seem like an old wrinkly nun with a ruler, but I don't want people to be able to abuse the password reset system willy-nilly. Suggestions?

Is it possible to mix the two languages in the same Unity project by coding some parts in C# and others in Javascript?   • What is the "official" place for community support for the Mere Mortals .NET framework?

    My team is using the Mere Mortals .NET framework from Oak Leaf. Being used to working with primarily open source software, I found it excruciatingly painful to find ANY community support for MM.NET. When I asked if there was any, the only place I was given to look for support was Universal Thread, which is a site which requires a membership for search and archived questions. It seems like a third party, pay-for site should not be the primary source of support for anything like this, especially MM.NET which costs $700 per developer. It doesn' to me like an entire community around MM.NET would choose to all pay on top of the license just to use a forum. If not Universal Thread, then what is the "official" place to find support for the Mere Mortals .NET framework?

  • OpenGL programming vs Blender Software, which is better for custom video creation?

    I am learning OpenGL API bit by bit and also develop my own C++ framework library for effectively using them. Recently came across Blender software which is used for graphics creation and is in turn written in OpenGL itself. For my part time hobby of graphics learning, I want to just create small-small movie or video segments; e.g. related to construction engineering, epic stories and so on. There may be very minimal to nil mouse-keyboard interaction for those videos, unlike video games which are highly interactive. I was wondering if learning OpenGL from scratch is worth for it or should I invest my time in learning Blender software? There are quite a few good movie examples are created using Blender and are shown in its website. Other such opensource cross platform alternatives are also welcome, which can serve my aforementioned purpose.

    I am fairly new to c/c++ but I do have experiance with directx and opengl with java and c#. My goal is to create a 2d game in c with under 2 pages of code. Most of what I have seen requires 3 pages of code to just get a window running. I would like to know the shortest code to get a window running where I can draw lines. I believe this can be done in less lines with opengl versus directx. Is there maybe an api or framework i can use to shorten it more? Also, it would be nice if the solution were cross platform compatible.

    I have a web site that works perfectly fine in IE9 when compatibility mode is turned OFF (the compatibility symbol is gray). When compatibility mode is turned on (blue), the jQuery doesn't work at all. I have added the following tag to the site to tell the browser that compatibility mode should NOT be used. <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=Edge" > I have the doctype as this: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> Still, the browser doesn't seem to default to standard mode and the user must manually ensure that they are NOT in compatibility mode. Can I disable IE 9 Compatibility Mode? Have I done what I need to do to disable IE 9 Compatibility Mode? Can the user always override IE 9 Standards Mode?

I will be developing a content related website very soon and I am confused about some technology stuff. I am thinking about developing the site using ruby on rails. So when I'll be buying hosting, do I need to ask for something special? Like for example, we need to specify what kind of hosting we need, windows or linux. So for ruby on rails do I need some extra facilities from the hosting provider? Is ruby on rails a good choice for a large content related website? This may be a bit stupid but how do I choose my backend, scripting languages etc? Thing is I am really new to website development. And the flow of making websites is not clear. Any links will be helpful. EDIT: I know this question has been voted as non constructive. But if any one still has some precise knowledge about how the flow of website development goes, please comment your views.. That will be helpful!
