• cc.net dynamic paramaters in publisher block

  I am Using CC.Net to run an .exe file after project build is complete and need to pass the project name, publish date/time and user on the command line as paramaters to the .exe. However I can't get cc.net to recognise these a dynamic properties and replace them with the correct values. • Reading Ontology with Jena, feeding it with RDF triples, and producing correct RDF string output.

  Hi, I have an ontology, which I read in with Jena to help me scrape some RDFa triples from a website. I don't currently store these triples in a Jena model, but that is fairly straight forward to do, its on my to do next list. The area I am struggling with, though, is to get Jena to output correct RDF for the ontology I have. The ontology uses Owl and RDFS definitions, but when I pass some example triples into the model, they don't appear correctly. Almost as if it doesn't know anything about the ontology. The output is, however, still valid RDF, just it's not coming out in the form I was hoping for. Am I correct in thinking that Jena should be able to produce well written RDF (not just valid) about the triples I have collected, based on the ontology or does this out stretch what it is capable of? • How do I mock a custom field that is deleted so that south migrations run?

  I have removed an app that contained a couple of custom fields from my project. Now when I try to run my migrations I get ImportError, naturally. These fields were very basic customizations like below: from django.db.models.fields import IntegerField class SomeField(IntegerField): def get_internal_type(self): return "SomeField" def db_type(self, connectio=None): return 'integer' def clean(self, value): # some custom cleanup pass So, none of them contain any database level customizations. When I removed this code, I've created migrations so the subsequent migration all ran fine. But when I try to run them on a pre-deletion database I realized my mistake. I can re-create a bare-bones app and make these imports work, but Ideally I would like to know if South has a mechanism to resolve these issues? Or is there any best practises? It would be cool if I could solve these issues just by modifying my migrations and not touching the codebase. (Django 1.3, South 0.7.3)

• Sanitize json input to a java server

  I'm using json to pass data between the browser and a java server. I'm using Json-lib to convert between java objects and json. I'd like to strip out susupicious looking stuff (i.e "doSomethingNasty().) from the user input while converting from json to java. I can imagine several points at which I could do this: I could examine the raw json string and strip out funny-looking stuff I could look for a way to intercept every json value on its way into the java object, and look for funny stuff there. I could traverse my new java objects immediately after reconstitution from json, look for any fields that are Strings, and stripp stuff out there. What's the best approach? Are there any technologies built for this this task that I tack tack on to what I have already?

• Is there a SQL Server error numbers C# wrapper anyone knows of?

  I really want to do something useful when a PK violation occurs but I hate trapping error numbers... they just don't read right without comments (they're certainly not self documenting). I know I can find all the potential error numbers at SQL Server books online but I really want to be able to pass the error number to some helper class or look it up against a Dictionary of some sort rather than have non-descript err numbers everywhere. Has anyone got / seen any code anywhere that encapsulates the SQL Server Error numbers in this way as I don't want to re-invent the wheel (or I'm lazy maybe).

• Hibernate -using Table per subclass - how to link an existing superclass object to a sibclass object

  Hi, I have a User hibernate class, Clerk class and Consumer class. All these maps to their own tables in database. The User PK also acts as Clerk's and Consumer's PK. So now my problem is that if a user is initially a Clerk, he has a record in Users table and Clerks table. If that user wants to become a consumer, I want to link that User's record to the new Consumer's record. So even if I pass the userId to the consumer's record, it treats it as a new User to be persisted and gives a duplicate_key exception. How do I tell Hiernate to link the same user object with this new Consumer object. Thanks in advance, -Chandni

  Hi, Just trying to still get my head around IOC principles. Q1: Static Methods - Should util classes with static helper methods be wired up with IOC? For example if I have a HttpUtils class with a number of static methods, should I be trying to pass it to other business logic classes via IOC? Follow on questions for this might be: Q2: Singletons - What about things like logging where you may typically get access to it via a Logger.getInstance() type call. Would you normally leave this as is, and NOT use IOC for injecting the logger into business classes that need it? Q3: Static Classes - I haven't really used this concept, but are there any guidelines for how you'd typically handle this if you were moving to an IOC based approach. Thanks in advance.

  We've been using IScriptControl to tie javascript objects to our UserControls and ServerControls, and it's worked fine. The problem is that ASP.NET seems to provide no method to tie a javascript object to a Page. Up to now, we've been putting plain functions in the global namespace, but I am developing a serious allergy to that practice. It'd be easy enough to wrap our functions into a javascript class, and to include the javascript file on the page, but how to instantiate the object, how to reference it from callback events, and how to pass data to it from the code-behind, I haven't figured out. Or rather, the methods we've been using up to now (hidden fields, emitted javascript strings, etc.), really bug me. Anyone have better ideas?

I need to collect this data by putting a utility program on the server itself, without any other installation on client computers. I know about monitoring the Clipboard, but which clipboard would it be? the user's clipboard or the server's clipboard ? And what about drag-drop operation, which doesn't even pass through the clipboard? Any knowledge of whether SystemFileWatcher is useful in such case ? Any ideas ?

  I work on something in Seattle Repy which is a restricted subset of Python. Anyway, I wanted to implement my own Queue that derives from a list: class Queue(list): job_count = 0 def __init__(self): list.__init__(self) def appendleft(item): item.creation_time = getruntime() item.current_count = self.job_count self.insert(0, item) def pop(): item = self.pop() item.pop_time = getruntime() return item Now I call this in my main server, where I use my own Job class to pass Jobs to the Queue: mycontext['queue'] = Queue() # ... job = Job(str(ip), message) mycontext['queue'].appendleft(job) The last line raises the following exception: Exception (with type 'exceptions.TypeError'): appendleft() takes exactly 1 argument (2 given) I'm relatively new to Python, so could anyone explain to me why it would think that I gave appendleft() two arguments when there obviously was only one?

  I am getting a conversion error every time I try to submit a date value to sql server. The column in sql server is a datetime and in vb I'm using Date.today to pass to my parameterized query. • Find out 20th, 30th, nth prime number. (I'm getting 20th but not 30th?) [Python]

  The question is to find the 1000th prime number. I wrote the following python code for this. The problem is, I get the right answer for the 10th , 20th prime but after that each increment of 10 leaves me one off the mark. I can't catch the bug here :( count=1 #to keep count of prime numbers primes=() #tuple to hold primes candidate=3 #variable to test for primes while count<20: for x in range(2,candidate): if candidate%x==0: candidate=candidate+2 else : pass primes=primes+(candidate,) candidate=candidate+2 count=count+1 print primes print "20th prime is ", primes[-1] In case you're wondering, count is initialised as 1 because I am not testing for 2 as a prime number(I'm starting from 3) and candidate is being incremented by 2 because only odd numbers can be prime numbers. I know there are other ways of solving this problem, such as the prime number theorem but I wanna know what's wrong with this approach. Also if there are any optimisations you have in mind, please suggest. Thank You

The final step is actually installing Wordpress, which usually involves pointing your browser to install.php and filling out a form in the GUI. The server I'm talking to sets a cookie using javascript (rather than standard set-cookie), so Mechanize doesn't catch the cookie. I need to pass that cookie back on the next GET request.   Looking for a way to write the following LinQ to entities query as a T-SQL statement. repository.ProductShells.Where(x => x.ShellMembers.Any(sm => sm.ProductID == pid)).ToList().ForEach(x => repository.ProductShells.Remove(x)); The below is obviously not correct but I need it to delete respective ProductShell object where any ShellMember contains a ProductID equal to the passed in variable pid. I would presume this would involve a join statement to get the relevant ShellMembers. repository.Database.ExecuteSqlCommand("FROM Shellmembers WHERE ProductID={0} DELETE FK_ProductShell", pid); I have cascade delete enabled for the FK_ShellMembers_ProductShells foreign key, so when I delete the ProductShell it will delete all the ShellMembers that are associated with it. I am going to pass this statement to System.Data.Entity Database.ExecuteSqlCommand method.

Because of reasons beyond my control I'm using Perl 5.8.8 so I can't use the smart match operator. TIA

• IE won't start session from an iframe?..

  The task was to bypass login form on remote server with a session_id acquired through a call to server's web API. So that user wouldn't have to login twice. Since there's no way to set cookies for different domain. What we came up to was - put a little file on remote server, to which we pass encrypted session_id from hidden iframe and which is supposed to start a proper session for a remote app, which is then loaded in another iframe. This approach works fine in FF/Chrome, but not IE... However if I copy url to self-made remote authorization script from iframe's src attribute to to IE's address bar and load it from there, session get's created as expected. But for some reason it just doesn't want to do the same from an iframe. Does anyone have any clue, why this is happening?

• getting data problem with MYSQL under linux

  Hi all, Recently I started to use Linux (Ubuntu 9.10) instead of windows. I am working on a java web application with Spring, MYSQL with jpa. However, before to install linux I made a backup file from the database, then installed linux, installed the MYSQL Query Browser and Administrator tools, and using the Admin tool restored the backup file, then got all the tables and made a simple select statement from one of the tables and got result normally and everything seems to work just fine. There a USER table, and there's a namedQuery defined to get a user by userName, the problem is that when I pass a correct userName I still get nothing! I really don't know what is the problem! The application was working perfectly under windows! Please, can anyone help me to solve this problem? Thank you in advance.

  I have an HTML form: <form action='process.php' method='post'> <input type='checkbox' name='check_box_1' /> Check me!<br> </form> Here is a section from the PHP script process.php: echo (isset($_POST['check_box_1']))?'Set':'Not set'; The output of the script when the checkbox is set is Set But when the checkbox is not set, the output is: Not set Why is this? This seems like a very poor design because my PHP script checks a number of $_POST variables to make sure they were passed along to the script. When the $_POST['check_box_1'] value is not set, then how do I know whether the script failed to pass along the value or the checkbox was just not set?
