  • Php code not executing - dies out when trying to create an object of class - no error displayed

    I'm having some problems with this piece of code. I've included a class declaration and trying to create an object of that class but my code dies out. It doesn't seem to be an include issue as all the files are being included even the files called for inclusion within the class file itself. However the object is not created - I tried to put an echo statement in the __construct function but nothing it just doesn't run infact doesn't create the object and the code won't continue from there - plus no error is reported or displayed and I have error reporting set to E_ALL and display errors set to true WHats happening here :(

And ignore the fact that I am passing the value of 3rd and 4th parameter same. What's wrong with the code?

  • Google Chrome - NETWORK_IP_ADDRESSES_CHANGED - pages only partially load

    Hi Google Chrome version (8.0.552.224 (Official Build 68599)) I have developed a web site using asp.net mvc and jquery. it uses a lot of ajax. I noticed that occasionally a web page does not complete loading all files from the server. Browsing through forums It seems that this also happens to other people. Looking in to the Chromium Net-Internals ( type: chrome://net-internals/ as a url in the chrome browser ) I noticed that the pages do not complete loading if a NETWORK_IP_ADDRESSES_CHANGED event occurred. Any files that were not fetched from the server before the time of the NETWORK_IP_ADDRESSES_CHANGED event failed to arrive with error (-3) Do you know why the NETWORK_IP_ADDRESSES_CHANGED event occurs?   • Has glassfish 2.1.1 a bug handling http request and handle them twice?

    I'm using glassfish 2.1.1. I've watched a mysterious http/webservice-call handling. It seams an http request is handled by two different threads. After http basic authentication the first thread is faster. Persisting some data end, but writing response fails in glassfish internal. The second thread fails, because it tries to persist identical data and there are (unique) constrain failures. The response (the failure) of second thread was delivered to client. I don't won't discuss the behavior with the unique constrain failure. I've improve the webservice, so it can handle this better, because it could be happen anytime, that the client send the ws call a second time. But I think, glassfish 2.1.1 has an bug handling http request. Is there any known issue? Have I done an mistake?     I am using a fairly straight-forward script to open and parse several xml files that are gzipped. I also need to do the same basic operation with a ZIP file. It seems like it should be simple, but I haven't been able to find what looked like equivalent code anywhere. Here is the simple version of what I am already doing: $import_file = "source.gz"; $sfp = gzopen($import_file, "rb"); ///// OPEN GZIPPED data while ($string = gzread($sfp, 4096)) { //Loop through the data /// Parse Output And Do Stuff with $string } gzclose($sfp); What would do the same thing for a zipped file?

    How to get the path of the current class, from an inherited method? I have the following: <?php // file: /parentDir/class.php class Parent { protected function getDir() { return dirname(__FILE__); } } ?> and <?php // file: /childDir/class.php class Child extends Parent { public function __construct() { echo $this->getDir(); } } $tmp = new Child(); // output: '/parentDir' ?> The __FILE__ constant always points to the source-file of the file it is in, regardless of inheritance. I would like to get the name of the path for the derived class. Is there any elegant way of doing this? I could do something along the lines of $this->getDir(__FILE__); but that would mean that I have to repeat myself quite often. I'm looking for a method that puts all the logic in the parent class, if possible.   • PHP mysqli Insert not working, but not giving any errors.

    As the title says Im trying to do a simple insert, but nothing actually is inserted into the table. I try to print out errors, but nothing is reported. My users table has many more fields than these 4, but they should all default. $query = 'INSERT INTO users (username, password, level, name) VALUES (?, ?, ?, ?)'; if($stmt = $db -> prepare($query)) { $stmt -> bind_param('ssis', $username, $password, $newlevel, $realname); $stmt -> execute(); $stmt -> close(); echo 'Any Errors: '.$db->error.PHP_EOL; } There are no errors given, but when I go to look at the table in phpmyadmin there is not a new row added. I know for sure that the types are correct (strings and integers). Is there something really wrong here or does it have something to do with the fact that I'm ignoring other columns. I have about 8 columns in the user table.

    Running the official JSplitPane demo http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/splitpane.html on my Ubuntu system gives a resize cursor like -- over the divider. The behavior of native split panes gives <-- resize cursors. Does this qualify as a bug that should be reported to Sun (eh, Oracle)? Is there a workaround?

    I'm having trouble finding a list of the changes and bug fixes that have been made in the .Net framework for .Net 4.0. They're not easy to find, but surely they exist somewhere? Specifically I want to find out what changes and updates have been made for System.Net.HttpWebRequest and System.Net.CookieContainer, as both are quite bugridden in 3.5 and I want to evaluate whether I should write my code for .Net 4.0 or if I should create some custom classes to work around their issues.

The website I built has its own users management system. The client would like SMF on his website and at the same time when a user is logged into the website they don't need to log into SMF website as well... how can this be done? Or should I just tell the client to consider two separet independant applications in this case i.e forum totally disjoint from the main site?

    For now I just want to use Gearman for background processing. For example, I need to email a recipient that they have a private message waiting for them once the sender submits their message into the DB. I assume I can run the worker/client and server on my primary server but I have no problems offloading some of the tasks to a different web server. Anyways, my question is how do I handle multiple "functions?" Let's say I need a job that handles the email portion and a job to handle image manipulation. Can I have multiple functions in the worker? I've followed a couple of examples I found online but each example only shows one function being initialized. Do I have to start up multiple "workers" to handle multiple functions?

But if the next product matching the criteria in the query is 2 or more ID's ahead my cycle breaks. So is there a way for skipping this rows and get the next ID matching the criteria.   • Why would some $_POST variables go missing for a form with PHP?

    Sometimes, multiple times a day in fact, users of my web application are submitting a certain form which has about a dozen form fields, half of which are hidden fields, and half of the $_POST data is simply not present in the processing script. Note that the fields that are not present are at the very bottom of the form. I know this because this raises a fatal error, and an email is dispatched to me which includes the post data. And of course, neither I nor any of the developers on my team can reproduce the problem. Flash is involved in the process, as I'm using a library called Uploadify to display a progress meter. Here is the flow...does anyone have ANY ideas at all why some of the post data would be getting wiped out? User visits edit screen for a page in the CMS I am using. Record id for the page is put into a form as a hidden value. User clicks the Uploadify browse button and selects a file (only single file selection is allowed). User clicks Submit button for my form. jQuery intercepts the form submit action, triggers Uploadify to start uploading, and returns false for the submit action (manually cancelling the form submit event so that Uploadify can take over). Uploadify uploads to a custom process script. Uploadify finishes uploading and triggers the Javascript completion callback. The Javascript callback calls $('#myForm').submit() to submit the form. This happens on multiple browsers (Firefox 3.5, 3.6, Safari, Internet Explorer 7, 8) and multiple platforms (Mac OS 10.5, 10.6 and Windows XP, 7).

  • Something is wrong with this C code to reverse string, but I dont know what ? please help

    Hi all, I am beginnner to programming. I wrote this little program to reverse a string. But if I try to reverse a string which is less than 5 characters long then it gives wrong output.
