  • How to query on table returned by Stored procedure within a procedure.

    I have a stored procedure that is performing some ddl dml operations. It retrieves a data after processing data from CTE and cross apply and other such complex things. Now this returns me a 4 tables which gets binded to various sources at frontend. Now I want to use one of the table to further processing so as to get more usefull information from it. eg. This table would be containing approx 2000 records at most of which i want to get records that belongs to lodging only.   • Dynamic model choice field in django formset using multiple select elements

I have models that look something like this: class ProductGroup(models.Model): name = models.CharField(max_length=10, primary_key=True) def __unicode__(self): return self.name class ProductRun(models.Model): date = models.DateField(primary_key=True) def __unicode__(self): return self.date.isoformat() class CatalogItem(models.Model): cid = models.CharField(max_length=25, primary_key=True) group = models.ForeignKey(ProductGroup) run = models.ForeignKey(ProductRun) pnumber = models.IntegerField() def __unicode__(self): return self.cid class Meta: unique_together = ('group', 'run', 'pnumber') class Transaction(models.Model): timestamp = models.DateTimeField() user = models.ForeignKey(User) item = models.ForeignKey(CatalogItem) quantity = models.IntegerField() price = models.FloatField() Let's say there are about 10 ProductGroups and 10-20 relevant ProductRuns at any given time. Each group has 20-200 distinct product numbers (pnumber), so there are at least a few thousand CatalogItems. I am working on formsets for the Transaction model. Instead of a single select menu with the several thousand CatalogItems for the ForeignKey field, I want to substitute three drop-down menus, for group, run, and pnumber, which uniquely identify the CatalogItem. I'd also like to limit the choices in the second two drop-downs to those runs and pnumbers which are available for the currently selected product group (I can update them via AJAX if the user changes the product group, but it's important that the initial page load as described without relying on AJAX). What's the best way to do this? As a point of departure, here's what I've tried/considered so far: My first approach was to exclude the item foreign key field from the form, add the substitute dropdowns by overriding the add_fields method of the formset, and then extract the data and populate the fields manually on the model instances before saving them. It's straightforward and pretty simple, but it's not very reusable and I don't think it is the right way to do this. My second approach was to create a new field which inherits both MultiValueField and ModelChoiceField, and a corresponding MultiWidget subclass. This seems like the right approach. As Malcolm Tredinnick put it in a django-users discussion, "the 'smarts' of a field lie in the Field class." The problem I'm having is when/where to fetch the lists of choices from the db. The code I have now does it in the Field's __init__, but that means I have to know which ProductGroup I'm dealing with before I can even define the Form class, since I have to instantiate the Field when I define the form. So I have a factory function which I call at the last minute from my view--after I know what CatalogItems I have and which product group they're in--to create form/formset classes and instantiate them. It works, but I wonder if there's a better way. After all, the field should be able to determine the correct choices much later on, once it knows its current value. Another problem is that my implementation limits the entire formset to transactions relating to (CatalogItems from) a single ProductGroup. A third possibility I'm entertaining is to put it all in the Widget class. Once I have the related model instance, or the cid, or whatever the widget is given, I can get the ProductGroup and construct the drop-downs. This would solve the issues with my second approach, but doesn't seem like the right approach.

  • Duplication of menu items with ViewPager and Fragments

    I'm building an Android Application (minimum SDK Level 10, Gingerbread 2.3.3) with some Fragments in a ViewPager. I'm using ActionBarSherlock to create an ActionBar and android-viewpagertabs to add tabs to the ViewPager just like in the Market client. I have one global menu item that I want to be shown on every tab/fragment. On the first of the three tabs I want to have two additional menu items. But now two strange things happen: First if I start the app, everything seems to be fine, I can see all three menu items on the first page and only one item if i swipe to the second and third tab. But if I swipe back to the second tab from the third one, I can see all three items again which shouldn't happen. If I swipe back to the first and then again to the second tab, everything is fine again. The other strange thing is that every time I rotate the device, the menu items from the fragment are added again, even though they are already in the menu.     Edit: I will summerize my question since it is very long (Thanks Len for pointing it out) What I'm trying to find out is to get a new position of a player after an X amount of time. The following variables are known: - Speed - Length between the 2 points - Source position (X, Y) - Destination position (X, Y) How can I calculate a position between the source and destion with these variables given? For example: source: 0, 0 destination: 10, 0 speed: 1 so after 1 second the players position would be 1, 0 The code below works but it's quite long so I'm looking for something shorter/more logical ====================================================================== I'm having a hard time figuring out how to calculate a new position of a player ingame. This code is server sided used to track a player(It's a emulator so I don't have access to the clients code). The collision detection of the server works fine I'm using bresenham's line algorithm and a raycast to determine at which point a collision happens. Once I deteremined the collision I calculate the length of the path the player is about to walk and also the total time. I would like to know the new position of a player each second. This is the code I'm currently using.     I have a div that contains a slideshow. ( http://film.robinhoodtax.org/issues/education ) I am using Selenium to test it. So far I have been using the HTML/Selenium script below to validate that the slideshow is actually working. But my assertEval is failing. How can I correctly detect the slideshow and make sure it is moving?.   • How to implement dynamic binary search for search and insert operations of n element (C or C++)

    The idea is to use multiple arrays, each of length 2^k, to store n elements, according to binary representation of n.Each array is sorted and different arrays are not ordered in any way. In the above mentioned data structure, SEARCH is carried out by a sequence of binary search on each array. INSERT is carried out by a sequence of merge of arrays of the same length until an empty array is reached. More Detail: Lets suppose we have a vertical array of length 2^k and to each node of that array there attached horizontal array of length 2^k. That is, to the first node of vertical array, a horizontal array of length 2^0=1 is connected,to the second node of vertical array, a horizontal array of length 2^1= 2 is connected and so on. So the insert is first carried out in the first horizontal array, for the second insert the first array becomes empty and second horizontal array is full with 2 elements, for the third insert 1st and 2nd array horiz. array are filled and so on.     I am trying to write a program that takes lines from an input file, sorts the lines into 'signatures' for the purpose of combining all words that are anagrams of each other. I have to use a map, storing the 'signatures' as the keys and storing all words that match those signatures into a vector of strings. Afterwards I must print all words that are anagrams of each other on the same line. So I can't realize what's the problem. I only wraped strings by a struct. May be operator< implementation? Thanks in advance for any help.

Here after finishing of the button touch down event, it enter into did end element, so I am always getting nil value. If I use the same code controller it works fine as I push second view controller in didendelement.   • Break in Class Module vs. Break on Unhandled Errors (VB6 Error Trapping, Options Setting in IDE)

    Basically, I'm trying to understand the difference between the "Break in Class Module" and "Break on Unhandled Errors" that appear in the Visual Basic 6.0 IDE under the following path: Tools --> Options --> General --> Error Trapping The three options appear to be: Break on All Errors Break in Class Module Break on Unhandled Errors Now, apparently, according to MSDN, the second option (Break in Class Module) really just means "Break on Unhandled Errors in Class Modules". Also, this option appears to be set by default (ie: I think its set to this out of the box). What I am trying to figure out is, if I have the second option selected, do I get the third option (Break on Unhandled Errors) for free? In that, does it come included by default for all scenarios outside of the Class Module spectrum? To advise, I don't have any Class Modules in my currently active project. I have .bas modules though. Also, is it possible that by Class Mdules they may be referring to normal .bas Modules as well? (this is my second sub-question). Basically, I just want the setting to ensure there won't be any surprises once the exe is released. I want as many errors to display as possible while I am developing, and non to be displayed when in release mode. Normally, I have two types of On Error Resume Next on my forms where there isn't explicit error handling, they are as follows: On Error Resume Next ' REQUIRED On Error Resume Next ' NOT REQUIRED The required ones are things like, checking to see if an array has any length, if a call to its UBound errors out, that means it has no length, if it returns a value 0 or more, then it does have length (and therefore, exists). These types of Error Statements need to remain active even while I am developing. However, the NOT REQUIRED ones shouldn't remain active while I am developing, so I have them all commented out to ensure that I catch all the errors that exist. Once I am ready to release the exe, I do a CTRL+H to find all occurrences of: 'On Error Resume Next ' NOT REQUIRED (You may have noticed they are commented out)... And replace them with: On Error Resume Next ' NOT REQUIRED ... The uncommented version, so that in release mode, if there are any leftover errors, they do not show to users.   • Encoding GBK2312 Condundrum

    I am an amateur coder and I have a small problem. My goal is to have one text input with two buttons. The first button uses a bit of Javascript called SundayMorning to translate the text (to Chinese) The second button submits the text to a URL. The URl requires that Chinese text be encoded it in GBK2312 character set. I have duct taped together various found code to the result I have now. Due to the finicky behavior of the SundayMorning Javascript, my solution is to have two input boxes, the second of which I will hide. Right now, this doesn't work: I am unable to encode the Chinese in GBK2312, no matter what I try. BONUS CONUNDRUM: The second box copies my input letter by letter as I type, but does not copy the Chinese translation that the Javascript returns. Sorry for my janky amateur code.   • javax.ejb.NoSuchEJBException after redeploying EJBs

    Using Glassfish 3.0.1 ... If I have a web application accessing EJBs in another application remotely, and the remote application containing the EJBs is redeployed, I get a javax.ejb.NoSuchEJBException (see stacktrace below). Shouldn't this work? I can see that the EJB in question was successfully deployed, using the exact same JNDI name. Is there any other way to fix this than to restart the web application?     When i try to execute php file though CLI this message appear: Exception: Zend Extension ./filename.php does not exist But while run like this /usr/local/bin/php -q -r "echo 'test';" works as expected I tried to figure out what causing this, no success yet.     I'm trying to connect a VPN connection (on Mac OS X 10.6.6) through a Check point java applet. The first time it ran I chose NOT to give it access to my files and such and now every time I try to lunch the applet it tells me too "Please confirm the use of this Java applet and then refresh or reopen the window." But I don't know how to confirm it nor delete the applet. How can I change the permissions afterwards and where can I find java applets installed on my computer? Update: This turns out to be a problem in Firefox. Cleared cookies, Java cache and certificate in Safari and it seems to work.

    Dsynchronize is a great free tool to sync two folders. I'm using it to sync two solutions checked out from two different TFS Team Collection. I want to exclude the following: All files in bin folder All files in obj folder I tried bin\*; obj\* but it doesn't work. How can I do that? ps. Though, trying *.g.* and *cache* help to exclude the files whose names match with the filter. It seems the filter is applied to the file name only NOT the full path of the file

  • jQuery live draggable / live droppable?

    Hi all, Basically there are two tables: Companies and visitors. Currently it's possible to drag visitors to companies. Works great. As soon as the drop function occurs, there are two $.post's. The first one saves the drag to the database. The second one updates the visitors, because the information constantly changes. The problem, however is that as soon as the second $.post finishes, Firebug keeps popping the following error: d(this).data("draggable") is null Which occurs in the jQuery UI file. On line 56. about 400 times or so. So basically I'm looking for a way to do live() with draggable and droppable. The .draggables are in #visitors (an ul). The droppables are in #companies (a table).   • WPF TreeView Virtualization

    I'm trying to figure out this virtualization feature, I'm not sure if I'm understanding it wrong or what's going on, but I'm using the ANTS memory profiler to check the number of items in a virtualized TreeView, and it just keeps increasing. I have a TreeView with 1,001 items (1 root, 1000 sub-items), and I always get up to 1,001 TreeViewItems, 1,001 ToggleButtons and 1,001 TextBlocks. Isn't virtualization supposed to re-use the items? If so, why would I have 1,001 of each? Also, the CleanUpVirtualizedItem never fires. Let me know if I'm understanding this wrong and if you have resources on how to use this. I've searched over the internet but haven't found anything useful. EDIT: Even the memory used by the tree grows from aporx. 4mb to 12mb when I expand and scroll through all the items.   • WPF - LayoutUpdated event firing repeatedly

    I've been adding a bit of animation to my WPF application. Thanks to Dan Crevier's unique solution to animating the children of a panel combined with the awesome WPF Penner animations it turned out to be fairly straightforward to make one of my controls look great and have its children move about with some nice animation. Unfortunately this all comes with a performance overhead. I'm happy to have the performance hit when items are added/removed or the control is resized, but it seems that this perf hit occurs consistently throughout the application's lifetime, even when items are completely static. The PanelLayoutAnimator class uses an attached property to hook the UIElement.LayoutUpdated.aspx) event. When this event fires, render transforms are animated to cause the children to glide to their new positions. Unfortunately it seems that the LayoutUpdated event fires every second or so, even when nothing is happening in the application (at least I don't think my code's doing anything -- the app doesn't have focus and the mouse is steady.) As the reason for the event is not immediately apparent to the event handler, all children of the control have to be reevaluated. This event is being called about once a second when idle. The frequency increases when actually using the app. So my question is, how can I improve the performance here? Any answer that assists would be appreciated, but I'm currently stuck on these sub-questions: What causes the LayoutUpdated event to fire so frequently? Is this supposed to happen, and if not, how can I find out why it's firing and curtail it? Is there a more convenient way within the handler to know whether something has happened that might have moved children? If so, I could bail out early and avoid the overhead of looping each child. For now I will work around this issue by disabling animation when there are more than N children in the panel.

Also, when I click on second row, firstly first row fires the event and then the second row fires it and shows the nested grid. Please help.

  • Troubleshooting Windows Authentication problems (no challenge) in IIS 7.5?

    I know that there are thousands of reports of people having trouble getting Integrated Windows Authentication to work with IIS, but they all seem to lead to web pages that don't apply or solutions that I've already tried. I've deployed dozens of sites like this before, so either there's something bizarre going on with the server/configuration, or I've been looking at this too long and not seeing the obvious. Simply put, everything works perfectly on my local machine, but falls apart on the production server, which as far as I can tell has the exact same configuration. On the local machine: The machine is running Windows 7 Ultimate, Service Pack 1, IIS 7.5. The site has been tested successfully, using both IIS and the VS Web Development Server. The IIS site config has all authentication methods disabled except Windows Authentication. The local machine is not on any domain. The Providers set up are Negotiate and NTLM (not Negotiate:Kerberos). Extended Protection is Off. All browsers tested (IE, Firefox, Chrome) show the challenge prompt and allow me to log in to the localhost domain with my (local) Windows account. All browsers tested also work using an opaque local IP address - so the browsers themselves don't seem to care whether the site appears "local" or "remote". I've added a display line to the web page which shows the currently-logged-in user and it shows exactly what I would expect (whichever local user I logged in with). On the remote machine: The server is running Windows Server 2008 R2, IIS 7.5. Loading the web page results in an immediate 401.2 error: You are not authorized to view this page due to invalid authentication headers. No challenge prompt ever appears. The IIS site config has all authentication methods disabled except Windows Authentication. The remote machine is not on any domain. The Providers set up are Negotiate and NTLM (not Negotiate:Kerberos). Extended Protection is Off. On the remote machine (remote desktop session), the same error appears in Internet Explorer regardless of whether the domain is localhost or the external IP address. If I try to view the remote web site from my local machine, the error is still 401, but a slightly different 401. No subcode, with the text: Access is denied due to invalid credentials. The Windows Authentication IIS role feature is installed. The WindowsAuthentication Module is added (at the Server level). The exact same error occurs if I turn off Windows Authentication and enable Basic Authentication. The site does load if I turn off Windows Authentication and enable Anonymous (obviously). I've already followed all of the troubleshooting steps on Microsoft Support: Troubleshooting HTTP 401 errors in IIS I've already tried the workaround shown on another Microsoft support page (supposedly to force NTLM as the only method). Last but not least, I tried turning on FREB for 401.2 errors and the results don't seem to tell me anything useful, all I see is the following warning: MODULE_SET_RESPONSE_ERROR_STATUS ModuleName IIS Web Core Notification 2 HttpStatus 401 HttpReason Unauthorized HttpSubStatus 2 ErrorCode 2147942405 ConfigExceptionInfo Notification AUTHENTICATE_REQUEST ErrorCode Access is denied. (0x80070005) ...this seems to just be telling me what I already know (that it's simply rejecting the request instead of negotiating the credentials). The trace does indicate that the WindowsAuthentication module is correctly loaded because there is a NOTIFY_MODULE_START line with ModuleName = WindowsAuthentication (and various other ASP.NET follow-up events - [un]fortunately, no interesting errors or warnings here). Can anyone tell me what I might be missing here? Quick Update: I'm a little uncomfortable sending a whole Wireshark dump as it would reveal IPs, URLs and other stuff, but I did a side-by-side comparison of the HTTP responses from localhost and the remote server in Fiddler, and it seems fairly self-evident what the problem is: Localhost: HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized Cache-Control: private Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8 Server: Microsoft-IIS/7.5 WWW-Authenticate: Negotiate WWW-Authenticate: NTLM X-Powered-By: ASP.NET Date: Sat, 17 Dec 2011 23:42:34 GMT Content-Length: 6399 Proxy-Support: Session-Based-Authentication Remote: HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized Content-Type: text/html Server: Microsoft-IIS/7.5 X-Powered-By: ASP.NET Date: Sat, 17 Dec 2011 23:43:13 GMT Content-Length: 1293 Aside from a few seemingly-inconsequential differences like cache-control, the main difference is that the remote server is not sending the WWW-Authenticate headers back to the client. So, I guess that narrows the question down to: Why is IIS not sending WWW-Authenticate headers when Windows Authentication appears to be installed, loaded, and exclusively enabled?

What is strange is that in my endpoint configuration, I am specifying to use the XmlSerializer for message serialization. I don't see any other errors in the console output preceding the error message. What am I missing? Thanks, Steve

  • hp ProLiant DL380 G6 server error code: 347 of array controller

    I have got a bran new hp ProLiant DL380 G6 server with embedded smart array P410i controller, I got 164 GB SATA drives and wanted to change them with 300 GB SATA drives before installation. Now, we replace the drives and begin the configuration with the hp DVD and begin; when we reach the point that we want to save the configurations, an error message appears: "The operation has failed with an unknown error, please restart the application and attempt the operation again" When using Rescan System, this error message appears: "Status Alerts - Smart Array P410i in Embedded Slot Warning Status Message Code Description 347 The cache for Smart Array P410i Embedded Slot is not configured" We return back to the 164 GB SATA drives and the message just keeps appearing again. Any help please.
