  Hi! I've problem regarding GUI with one Menu and one Order Class. I've created a variable to store how many items have been selected in the Menu Class. private int totalSelected; The var totalSelected is live updated. It can be changed anytime depending on actionPerformed() function.(Exp: totalSelected will add up all the selected items) In the Order Class, how can I access to the live update variable totalSelected in order to retrieve the live update value? When I invoke getTotalSelected() function inside the Menu Class, I will only obtain a 0 value. Thanks for your help ^^!

  I have CruiseControl(1.5) running in Win2k8R2 and svn(1.6.9) The error happens on a successful build after nant(0.86) Timeout(600 seconds).   I want to split a large table horizontally, and I would like to make sure that all three of them have the same schema. This is bad, because if I decide to change the schema later (which will most certainly happen), I will have to change it three times, which begs for errors, so I would like a way to make sure that the other tables have the same schema without explicitly writing it again. I can use: statement .executeUpdate("CREATE TABLE AnnotationsBiologicalProcess AS SELECT * FROM AnnotationsMolecularFunction"); to create the other tables with the same columns, but the constraints are not aplied. I could of course just generate the same query-string three times with different table-names in Java, but I would like to know if there is an SQL-way of achieving this.

  i have a java game app that uses sockets to communicate with each other. the issue is when i do a socket listen (server), i can run another instance of the game on the same machine using the same port as before to listen, and it results in listening again. now i have two instances of the application both listening on the same port. you can imagine only one connects when a connection comes through. the question is: how do i prevent the app from listening on the same port as another instance is already listening to? thanks in advance. EDIT: serverSocket = new ServerSocket(serverPort, backlog); im using this. should i try to use: ServerSocket(int port, int backlog, InetAddress bindAddr) instead? EDIT: SOLVED! i did not handle the exception only trapped it. now it is working well. thanks for your inputs.

• Workflow foundation 4.0 message correlation and error reporting

  I have a workflow service that runs and performs a number of different operations (such as web service calls). If one of these operations fails I call an error reporting web service to notify a seperate system that one of my workflow operations has failed. As the error could be something like the web service being down, I loop and retry this operation until it works. There can be times though when the data I'm passing to this web service is faulty and it needs changing. So I need to be able to hook into this running (but delayed) workflow and change local workflow variables and then re-run the operation. I've looked at message correlation in workflow 4.0 to achieve this but because the delay activity is active in my running workflow instance, any second service call doesn't do anything (it's like the delay activity is blocking any other requests). I've tried setting 'CanCreateInstance' to both true and false but it doesn't help. Thanks!

  I think I'm missing something very obvious and its making my brain hurt. class User < ActiveRecord::Base has_one :profile class Profile < ActiveRecord::Base has_one :user belongs_to :team I have a partial that loops through the users and print some basic info, I'm using this partial in my team show page. I had originally written this to return users who's profiles were a member of a team. def show @team = Team.find_by_id(params[:id]) @profiles= Profile.find(:all, :conditions => ['team_id = ?', @team.id]) @users = User.find_by_id(@profiles.user_id) end But quickly realized @profiles was an array, and it looks messy as hell. Stuck as to what my find should look like to select all User who have a profile that is a member of a team.   I have aggregate functions foo(), foobar(), fredstats(), barneystats() I want to create a domain specific query language (DSQL) above my DB, to facilitate using a domain language to query the DB. The 'language' comprises of algebraic expressions (or more specifically SQL like criteria) which I use to generate (ANSI) SQL statements which are sent to the db engine.   Hi All, I have the this bit of code in a VBA class which is to workout the number of days between a property of the class (a date) and today’s date. Can anyone see why this would be giving an error in a class? I have referenced atpvbaen.xls. Edit: I have found that when I run the code through a menu option I have created on the menu bar it fails, but when I run it via a button or through the VB Editor it works fine. I am actually trying to gather friends' friends of a user and that's something Facebook doesn't provide, that's why I am using graph.facebook.com/<id>/ rather than graph.facebook.com/me/friends.   I'm trying to write a short Wordpress JQuery for Wordpress comments that would allow users to toggle specific comments on and off. This is my first script, and I'm having a tough time. Once overtly simplified, the comments are formatted like so: <li id="li-comment-<?php comment_ID() ?>"> <div class="gravatar"><img src="#" /></div> <div class="comment_poster">Username</div> <div class="comment_options">Option buttons</div> <div class="comment_content">Comment</div> </li> In the "comment_options" DIV is a series of buttons that control the individual comments (reply, quote, edit, close, etc.). The close button is what I'm trying to write this script for. I need it to toggle the "gravtar" and "comment_content" DIVs, but leave the rest in place so that it still displays the user ID and controls. However, I can't seem to figure out how to contain the action. This is what I have so far: $(document).ready(function() { $("div.trigger").click(function() { $("div.gravatar").slideToggle(); $("div.comment_content").slideToggle(); }); }); The problem with this is that it closes are the .gravatar and .comment_content on the page, not just the ones found in the same list item. If you're curious, this is the page I'm working on. Any idea how I could resolve this? Again, this is my firs time with JQuery, so I'm a little fuzzy on how it all works. Thanks!

  Hi, To checkout I use the following command CVSROOT="/home/projects/stuff/" cvs co mywork with the mywork directory I have text files as well as pictures, i.e., looks something like this - paper.tex - pic1.jpg - pic2.jpg etc. In particular, I am interested in checking out all the version of paper.tex over time. Is there a way how I can check all revisions of this file out at once? Or which command can I use to see when revision have been made to this particular file? many thanks for your help, Andrew

  Hi, Whenever I add the rostertree control to my form, I can see that the PresenceManager and RosterManager property values for it have this error listed: "Unable to cast object of type 'System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewTextBoxColumn' to type 'System.ComponentModel.Component'." I can compile the solution and all but this error keeps popping up randomly. Can someone advice when this may happen. I'm thinking it has to do with the controls not being added properly. I'm using Visual Studio 2008. Thanks.

  I have an App in which several of the models are linked by hasMany/belongsTo associations. So for instance, A hasMany B, B hasMany C, C hasMany D, and D hasMany E. Also, E belongs to D, D belongs to C, C belongs to B, and B belongs to A. Using the Containable behavior has been great for controlling the amount of information comes back with each query, but I seem to be having a problem when trying to get data from table A while using a condition that involves table D. For instance, here is an example of my 'A' model: class A extends AppModel { var $name = 'A'; var $hasMany = array( 'B' => array('dependent' => true) ); function findDependentOnE($condition) { return $this->find('all', array( 'contain' => array( 'B' => array( 'C' => array( 'D' => array( 'E' => array( 'conditions' => array( 'E.myfield' => $some_value ) ) ) ) ) ) )); } } This still gives me back all the records in 'A', and if it's related 'E' records don't satisfy the condition, then I just get this: Array( [0] => array( [A] => array( [field1] => // stuff [field2] => // more stuff // ...etc ), [B] => array( [field1] => // stuff [field2] => // more stuff // ...etc ), [C] => array( [field1] => // stuff [field2] => // more stuff // ...etc ), [D] => array( [field1] => // stuff [field2] => // more stuff // ...etc ), [E] => array( // empty if 'E.myfield' != $some_value' ) ), [1] => array( // ...etc ) ) When If 'E.myfield' != $some_value, I don't want the record returned at all.
