    I'd like to write a bot to play in the 3D RoboCup simulated soccer league. Can anyone point me at some code that already deals with communication with the server, etc? Ideally this would be .NET code, but an example produced in any language would still be useful. EDIT For anyone who is not familiar with the RoboCup 3D Soccer league, check out this YouTube video.   • Programming Windows Cluster resource DLLs using Delphi

    I wonder whether there's a way to program a resource DLL for Windows Clusters in Delphi. I want to write a program that observes cluster state changes. Judging from the MSDN API reference, all relevant functions are located in the ClusAPI.h and ResAPI.h headers, but unfortunately it seems as if they haven't been ported yet and HeaderConv seems to fail on them. Does anyone has experience in doing such a thing?

    I have a style defined for listboxitem in a resource dictionary. I want to use this style in a cs file of listbox : I am doing the below thing but it gives me null ,CustomListBoxItemStyle is a name of a key given to the style. public class CustomListBox : ListBox { public CustomListBox() { this.ItemContainerStyle = Application.Current.Resources["CustomListBoxItemStyle"] as Style; } } There is no xaml for this. How to achieve this?

  • pdf <pre> equivalent

    I'm trying to put some code examples in a pdf, but copying them out messes up the formatting and rearranges the lines, there's a lot of manual cleanup needed after pasting. Is there a equivalent to html's pre for PDFs? For "this" block of text respect line breaks, spacing, and copy as plain text like its shown. The closest thing I can see is adding note annotations next to every code example.

I even tried creating the same viewstate with same name in usercontrol and page.Both holds different value. I understand that viewstate is a protected property.     Hey guys, i've got 2 GeoPoints given to show them on the map with markers... so far so good... how can I get the optimum zoom level for the MapController in order to focus the middle of both points, but also have them on the map.     We used to be a Coldfusion development shop before hopping over to PHP in 2008, now we primarily develop custom Drupal websites. I enjoyed going from CF to PHP, but I feel like I am getting a bit stale. I have been looking at different things like Ruby, Python, Obj C (iPhone). The problem is, there just isn't enough time in the day. What would be a fun new thing to learn that would refresh me a bit and challenge myself to learn more?

That after you struggled with something tedious/annoying/frustrating, you learned one small thing and said "oh, I could've done that?!"? My example - I once suffered through an entire tedious semester of HTML in Notepad... only to discover Notepad++ (and DreamWeaver, IDEs, etc.) a couple of days after submitting the final project.

  • Is there any advantage for using a library other than Hibernate for JPA?

    Hi, I've been using JPA for some time now and been in projects where we've used both Hibernate Annotations and Toplink Essentials. AFAIK the project leader chose Toplink because Netbeans had it integrated and seemed to be the easy thing to do. However when looking for help, most of the literature seemed to assume that you are using Hibernate as the JPA provider, so, the question is, is have you found any advantage, performance or otherwise for not using the de-facto standard for JPA, Hibernate?
