  • Web log analyser with daily statistics per URL

    Are there any good web server log analysis tools that can provide me with daily statistics on individual URLs? I guess I'm looking at something that can drill down into particular URLs and on particular days rather than just a monthly summary report. The following don't seem to meet my needs as they don't offer drilling down to get more detailed info: awstats analog webalizer (I'm running an nginx frontend into Apache with nginx outputting 'combined' format logfiles if it makes any difference.)

  • ustream and justin.tv don't work, UTube and bitgravity are fine

    Can anyone explain this? On this laptop, ustream and justin.tv don't work - just get a blank screen. But UTube and bitgravoty work fine (also flash based). 64-bit windows 7 - but I have 64-bit windows 7 on my desktop machine and everything works fine there. Good place to test is here http://live.twit.tv/ where the bitgravity feeds work fine, but ustream and justin.tv don't.

  • Help! cant login to my forum after .htaccess changes

    I'm running a phpbb forum and I installed an SEO friendly URL Mod. After I installed it I wasn't able to login as the admin nor any other users... Well I've been messing around with this problem for a bit and I did find out that it was the .htaccess file that was causing me not to be able to login. I found out if I comment the canonical part out in the .htaccess file, my website allows me to login and see the working mod just fine but I get "http://phone7forum.com/" instead of what I want which is "http://www.phone7forum.com/ : enter code here # HERE IS A GOOD PLACE TO FORCE CANONICAL DOMAIN # RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.phone7forum\.com$ [NC] # RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.phone7forum.com/$1 [QSA,L,R=301] enter code here I definitely want the "http://www." since its the best method and holds the best weight..     "Ending company IT Admin relationship" has a good checklist for taking over an existing IT system, but I'm wondering as it relates to Linux: What is the most effective way to assess the scope of existing custom configurations, installs, scripts, etc done? Is there any software that will check if the kernel, system files, etc mirror the default files for the version installed? At this point I don't know what distro of Linux the server (though using Netcraft I do know the server appears to be Linux) -- so it's possible without knowing that information that this would be a hard question to answer.

Is there a clean/easy way to script it so the PSK can be entered on the machines? If possible I don't want to give the PSK to the end users.

  • Setting up a software access point on Gigabyte GN-WPKG x64

    I'm using a Gigabyte GN-WPKG card on Windows 7 64-bit and was thinking it would be good to turn it into a wireless AP (I have a wired internet connection). Connectify, which would normally be the solution, says it's not compatible. There are instructions for setting up an AP, but they seem to be for 32-bit. I found the equivalent drivers for 7 and they don't seem to do anything. Is there no SoftAP for Vista and later on a Gigabyte card?

I just wanted to double check (and provide a top Google result for people in the future that might have the same issue) that this was a false positive and can be safely right-click ignored.

Now I'm using HideMyAss VPN (OpenVPN protocol), but without the squid, since I don't know how to configure them to work correctly. Note: I'm using the university's proxy in HideMyAss VPN software so that I get good Internet connection, but if I use squid's proxy, it doesn't work.
