  • Finding App Id under .ipa or .app

    I'm building an application that search and recognizes any iPhone apps that user has in his/her computer. I would like to know a way to "extract" the id of the application from the .ipa file. I was trying to do the recognition using only the App File Name, but I discovered that the File Name is not the name of the app in Apple Store. Live Poker 6K Free by Zynga != Live Poker 3.7.ipa The id i'm talking about is the app id, like in, http://itunes.apple.com/app/live-poker-6k-free-by-zynga/id354901953?mt=8 the id is 354901953. Does any body has a clue how can I manage to find this information?

    I wonder if it would be possible to "upgrade" from an OpenIndiana install (151a) to the current Solaris release (11.1) using the IPS. What I have done so far: added the "solaris" publisher using pkg set-publisher -g http://pkg.oracle.com/solaris/release/ solaris removed the "opensolaris.org" and "openindiana.org" publishers (just to make sure) tried to start the update process using pkg update --accept or explicitly setting the release name pkg image-update --accept --be-name Solaris_11 - both backed out stating there are "No updates available for this image".

The following code returns only local accounts which are members of the admin group - no domain groups or individual accounts are returned at all (BLAH\Domain Admins or BLAH\yajohn, for instance).     When I try to change the ASP.NET version to v4 on IIS 6, I receive the following warning: Changing the Framework version requires a restart of the W3SVC service. Alternatively, you can change the Framework version without restarting the W3SVC service by running: aspnet_regiis.exe -norestart -s IIS-Viirtual-Path Do you want to continue (this will change the Framework version and restart the W3SVC service)? How do I work out IIS-Virtual-Path? I have tried the obvious paths i.e.: aspnet_regiis.exe -norestart -s "/WebSites/Extranet/AppName" Where WebSites is the name of the folder in IIS, Extranet the name of the root app and AppName the name of the Virtual Directory application I am trying to change. Thanks! Edit: How do I work out the virtual path for the Auth virtual directory in following IIS6 setup: I have tried: aspnet_regiis.exe -norestart -s "/Web Sites/Extranet/Auth" aspnet_regiis.exe -norestart -s "Auth" I get: Installation stopped because the specified path (WhateverIPutIn) is invalid.

I am having a hard time to understand how I can save the authors in view function? I am thinking of using a hidden field to record all the author id's but I am having a hard time figuring out how to save it on the postback.

    I'm trying to display a list of open tab names in a listview or listbox (recommendations?). Been going through the different type of binding options and I'm able to bind to a single tab name but it displays vertical instead of horizontal. If I have the following: <dxe:ComboBoxEdit DisplayMember="Name" ItemsSource="{Binding Path=NameOptions, Mode=OneTime}" SelectedItem="{Binding Path=Name, UpdateSourceTrigger=PropertyChanged}" /> I am now trying to get the location to which the SelectedItem is bound to, i.e. the result should be "Name". Then in code I need to do some stuff with that ViewModel Property. Issue is that I can't just hard code this as it is a generic method that needs to work with each control on the form.   • C# SerialPort.GetPortNames() behavior

    In my C# 2008 application, I use the SerialPort.GetPortNames() function to retrieve the list of currently available ports. What I have noticed is, when ever I plug in a USB device, it's port number i s shown in the list on my Application and when I unplug it and refresh the list, the port number is no longer there. One phase of the application involves reading/writing data from/to the device continuously. Now, my expectation is, If I unplug the device during the operation and get the current Port list using SerialPort.GetPortNames(), the Port Name will not be there and I can use that to make the decision that the device has been unplugged. To my surprise, the Port name is still found despite having it removed Why is the program behaving like this? The port name isn't listed when in no-communication mode. Does it have something to do with the device being removed when it's communicating?

  • How to have Windows Server DNS use hosts file to resolve specific host names

    Hello, everyone, I'm facing a small problem with Windows Server 2003 DNS service. In my corporation, I'm running Microsoft DNS server(172.16.0.12) to do name resolution to my company intranet(domain name ends in dev.nls. resolving to IP 172.16..), and it is also configured as a DNS forwarder to forward other domain names(e.g. *.google.com , *.sf.net) to Internet real DNS servers. This internal DNS server never tends to serve users from outside world. And, we are running a mail server(serving incoming mail for a real Internet domain @nlscan.com) inside company firewall which can be accessed in either way: by connecting to 172.16.0.10 from within intranet. by connecting to mail.nlscan.com(resolved to 202.101.116.9) from Internet. Note that 172.16.0.10 and 202.101.116.9 is not the same physical machine. The 202 one is a firewall machine who do port forwarding of port 25 and 110 to intranet address 172.16.0.10 . Now my question: If users inside corporate LAN want to resolve mail.nlscan.com, it resolves to 202.101.116.9. That's correct and workable, BUT NOT GOOD, because the mail traffic goes to the firewall machine then bounces to 172.16.0.10 . I hope that our internal DNS server can intercept the name mail.nlscan.com and resolve it to 172.16.0.10 . So, I hope that I can write an entry in "hosts" file on 172.16.0.12 to do this. But, how can Microsoft DNS server recognize this "hosts" file? Maybe you suggest, why not have intranet user use 172.16.0.10 to access my mail server? I have to say it is inconvenient, suppose a user(employee) works on his laptop, daytime in office and nighttime at home. When he is at home, he cannot use 172.16.0.10 . Creating a zone for nlscan.com on our internal DNS server is not feasible, because the name server for nlscan.com domain is on our ISP, and it is responsible for resolving other host names and sub-domains under nlscan.com . For example, given the following table: Name Date Time Sale John 2010-09-12 10:22:22 500 Bill 2010-08-12 09:22:37 2000 John 2010-09-13 10:22:22 500 Sue 2010-09-01 09:07:21 1000 Bill 2010-07-25 11:23:23 2000 Sue 2010-06-24 13:23:45 1000 I would like to extract the first record for each individual in asc time order. After sorting the table is ascending time order, I need to extract the first unique record by name. So the output would be : Name Date Time Sale John 2010-09-12 10:22:22 500 Bill 2010-07-25 11:23:23 2000 Sue 2010-06-24 13:23:45 1000 Is this doable in an easy fashion with mySQL? Thanks, Sammy

    I have an object of type list from which I wish to use to populate a treeview in asp.net c#. Each object item has: id | Name | ParentId so for example: id | Name | ParentId ------------------------- 1 | Alice | 0 2 | Bob | 1 3 | Charlie | 1 4 | David | 2 In the above example, the parent would be Alice having two children Bob and Charlie. David is the child of Bob. I have had many problems trying to dynamically populate the treeview recursively in c# ASP.NET Does any one have a simple solution? Btw: you can use People.Id, People.Name and People.ParentId to access the members since it is an object belonging to list. I can post you my code so far (many attempts made) but not sure how useful it will be.

    Can a Barracuda SF 300 reject mail based on DNS? Specifically can it respond with a 4XX code for mail claiming to be from a domain without a valid MX or A record (similar to postfix's smtpd_sender_restrictions = reject_unknown_sender_domain). If so, how do I set it? (I realize it's probably something simple I've overlooked.) The barracuda can resolve using its configured name servers. The name servers can correctly resolve external domains.

Ex: I have a model called Event and its same as doing Event.find(id) (I dont want to use find inside my controller and I want my controller to use a named scoped (for future flexibility)) So I have written a named scoped named_scope :from_id, lambda { |id| {:conditions = ['id= ?', id] } } and I'm calling it from my controller like Event.from_id(id) But my problems is it returns Event object array not only one object Ex: if I want to get event name I have to write event = Event.from_id(id) event[0].name instead I want to write event = Event.from_id(id) event.name Am I doing something wrong here.. thanks in advance cheers sameera
