  • Trunking at Router Port

    After reading a bit about interVLAN routing got a doubt regarding how trunking takes place at router and at switch.In case of switch we configure a port interface as trunk port and say all vlan's are allowed here but in case of router we configure sub interface as trunk saying particular vlan belongs to particular subinterface .Can't we configure only a single port interface on router just like Switch and say all vlan's are allowed here on this interface ,why to go for sub interfaces? Hope I'm able to put my question in right way.

  • Exim To Include Internal Email When Sending

    I wonder if you can help me out... at the moment were using exim to relay our emails to an smtp_relay. The only problem is if the user exists and has an email address it won't exit the server and send them mail using our relay. I need it to go to the relay even if it's an internal email address.   • Can't install .NET 4.0 on Windows XP virtual machine! (VMWare Player)

    So, every time I try to install .NET Framework 4.0 on my Windows XP Professional SP3 VMWare Player virtual machine, I get a fatal error. It doesn't work with either Windows Update, the Web Installer or the normal installer! I don't know if it matters (AND I HOPE IT DOES NOT), but the host OS's Operating System drive is encrypted, and the VM HDD file resides on that partition. I don't think it matters because other programs can be installed! And downloaded!

    quick question say i wanted to download a file of considerable size 10gb say and i sent the GET request to a web server to download that file question is, if the client stopped reading the TCP connection, would the entire file still be downloaded, or does it depend on the client sending back an ack or something to the circuit asking for the next packet hope that makes sense This question was originally asked involving the Tor network, but i just want to know how a standard internet connection would handle this Thanks

Both of them, however, are on the same network of my University, but on different LANs/VLANs (i hope i used the right word here). How can I remotely connect to my work system from my PC, given that both use private IP addresses? If such a thing is not possible with current set up, what minimal changes are required for it?

I need these devs to have accounts to access their own phpmyadmin where they can manipulate their own sets of databases. I am kind of new to web services deployment, so should this setup be configured in phpmyadmin or in mysql? Will this kind of deployment need web management like cpanel? I'm trying to run command which contains quotes.. example: Shell("cmd.exe") SendKeys.Send("cd "c:\users\abc def" ") <<<<--- this line SendKeys.Send("{ENTER}") there is an syntax error. the problem is that I need to add quotes to some commands as there is a space in folderpath.   • TrueCrypt partition will no longer mount

    I am hoping for some advice to help me out of my situation, with luck. I have a computer running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with 3 hard disks installed. On my 2TB hard disk 2 (non-system disk) I have 4 partitions. One is for music, another for video, a downloads partition and a 500GB RAW Truecrypt encrypted partition / volume that I had setup to mount with 4 photographs used as keyfiles. The 4 photographs are located in my 'Documents' partition which is one of four partitions on my 1.5TB hard disk 1 (non-system disk) When I setup the disk encryption I did not (I'm 99% sure) create a password, I only used the 4 photograph keyfiles to mount the volume. Recently my 1TB hard disk 0 (system / boot) started to fail so I decided to replace it. I was going to clone the old disk to a new disk but decided that a fresh installation would be more beneficial. Once I had transferred all the required 'User Data' from my old hard disk 0 (C: disk) I discarded it. I reinstalled Truecrypt, pointed to the partition, selected my 4 keyfiles photographs and I mounted my encrypted volume with no issues. In fact I mounted it several times after re-installing Windows and after reboots. Now all of a sudden when I try and mount it I get the message "incorrect keyfile(s) and/or password or not a Truecrypt volume". Now I am not sure why this happened as I do not recall exactly what I did between last mounting the volume successfully and it not mounting. Here are some of the possible things I may have done to cause it to stop working but I am at a loss as to where to start to try and resolve the problem. 1. I had swapped the drive letters to a preferred order. 2. I possibly swapped the physical SATA connectors on the mainboard. 3. I enabled 'Hot Plugging' for the two non-system hard disk SATA ports and the DVD SATA port in the BIOS. I have tried changing the encrypted partition drive letter as suggested in another post but this does not help. On my old system the encrypted drive was drive "X". I have about tried it with all the other free drive letters but alas nothing changes. I do not recall what drive letter was allocated to the encrypted partition before I changed them all. I have not tried to change the letter back to what it possibly was to start with as I am happy with the current layout. I will try this is anyone thinks it would be worthwhile though. I do hope I have managed to convey my situation in an understandable manner and live in hope someone could help me recover years of personal files.     Configuration: windows 8 (desktop) firefox (latest version) I've been trying to figure out how to enable the checkbox to "always open with ... application for file type", for quite a while without any luck. Can anybody explain to me how I can enable the checkbox (see red rectangle). It's in Dutch, but I hope you recognize the dialog. Tried so far: - default programs (control panel) - HKCU/Microsoft/.../FileExts: remove the UserChoice (but it was already removed, so no luck there either) Thanks a lot in advance

  • What does "Flush the Firewall" mean?

    I know this is a real newbie question but what does it mean when someone says they "flushed the firewall". I got locked out of my server a few times due to the enhanced security configuration I had done and when I contacted my server management company, they said both times that they flushed the firewall and I was allowed back in. I hope "flushing the firewall" doesn't mean they reduced the security settings at all.

    Title says it all, hope this is possible as I want to start a network of sites for different stuff but want to use one account system with that subdomain using ssl with extended verification, thanks. EDIT: Ok, it has been closed because I am not being clear enough so I will narrow it down a bit more. I am wondering how to move all registration files and login files into a sub-domain instead of just the normal domain so I can put an SSL on it to make it more secure but leave the rest of the blog on the normal domain.

  • C: WinAPI CreateDIBitmap() from byte[] problem

    I have been working on this problem for a while now. I am trying to add JPEG support to a program with libjpeg. For the most part, it is working fairly well, But for some JPEGs, they show up like the picture on the left. It may not be obvious, but the background shows up with alternating red green and blue rows. If anyone has seen this behavior before and knows a probable cause, I would appreciate any input. I have padded the rows to be multiples of four bytes, and it only slightly helped the issue.

    Hello all, I'm having problems with Visual Studio 2008, namely, syntax-highlighting and intellisense for *.aspx, *.js and *.css files (and maybe more) not working. Also, when I go to Tools - Options... - Text editor - HTML - Format, I see this error message: "An error occurred loading this property page" Everything was working fine before, until recently. The only change that might have possibly triggered this (but I am not 100% sure whether it stopped working at that exact time or some other time) was a change of the display language in my Windows 7 installation. I have already tried running: devenv /Setup devenv /ResetSkipPkgs devenv /ResetSettings ...none of which helped. Also, setting my default system font to Tahoma, which was a suggestion I found somewhere else, did not work for me (it was Tahoma before, since I use the Windows Classic theme).     Hi guys, A school project has me writing a Date game in C++ (example at http://www.cut-the-knot.org/Curriculum/Games/Date.shtml) where the computer player must implement a Minimax algorithm with alpha-beta pruning. Thus far, I understand what the goal is behind the algorithm in terms of maximizing potential gains while assuming the opponent will minify them. However, none of the resources I read helped me understand how to design the evaluation function the minimax bases all it's decisions on. All the examples have had arbitrary numbers assigned to the leaf nodes, however, I need to actually assign meaningful values to those nodes. Intuition tells me it'd be something like +1 for a win leaf node, and -1 for a loss, but how do intermediate nodes evaluate? Any help would be most appreciated.

    I was trying to do it with "getElementsByTagName", but it wasn't working, I'm new to using DOMDocument to parse HTML, as I used to use regex until yesterday some kind fokes here told me that DOMEDocument would be better for the job, so I'm giving it a try :) I google around for a while looking for some explains but didn't find anything that helped (not with the class anyway) So I want to capture "Capture this text 1" and "Capture this text 2" and so on.   • Eclipse Could not Delete error

    Hello I'm working on a project with Eclipse and by now everything was fine, but last time I've tried building it, it returned the error "The project was not built due to "Could not delete '/Torpedo/bin/bin'.". Fix the problem, then try refreshing this project and building it since it may be inconsistent Torpedo Unknown Java Problem" and it deleted my bin folder which stores all the images and stuff needed for the program. (Fortunately I had a backup). I've tried googling it and tried every solution I found, but nothing helped, and also most of them suggests to delete the folder by hand, which I can't. What should I do? Thanks.

  • Multiple update panels and multiple postbacks cause entire page to refresh...

    I'm having the same problem I had yesterday... The solution Aristos provided helped solve the problem, but I have other places sending updatepanel postbacks causing the same problem. When an update panel is updated and another request for an update is called before it has a chance to render the first updates, the entire page refreshes instead of just the update panel. I used fiddler to see what was going on and here's what happens... If I wait for the request to return before doing another request I get this: 21443|updatePanel|dnn_ctr1107_CRM_SalesTool_LeadsUpdatePanel| But if I don't wait, I get this: 66|pageRedirect||http://mysite.com/salesdashboard.aspx| The code from the previous question is still the same except I added UpdateMode="Conditional" to the update panel. Any ideas? Or is the only solution to this making sure that 2+ updates for any number of update panels (as long as they're on the same page) never happen? Thanks, Matt

  • OAuth gives me 401 error

    I am trying to get the access key but I cannot make it work. `request_token.get_access_token is giving me 401 Unauthorized (OAuth::Unauthorized) error. I copy the authorize_url into my browser, allow the application, I receive some kind of PIN from twitter but after hitting enter in my script I always get 401 error.     Hi All, I have been trying to set up local debugging for my ASP.NET app in Delphi and am getting the error above. I have used the aspnet_regiis.exe tool with the following: Aspnet_regiis.exe -s W3SVC/1/ROOT/DevTest but this hasn't helped. It added it to IIS as an application but I am still getting the error: The project cannot be debugged because virtual directory "DevTes" is not configured with ASP.NET version 2.0 or 3.0 Use aspnet_regiis.exe to configure the local IIS web server. I am not really sure where to go from here so need some help please: Machine specs: Windows 7 64bit, IIS7, Using RAD Studio 2007.
